  • We meet again.... 240P (the movie is great anyway but seeing the galaxy in HD is just better lol)

  • Nothing is more important than science.

  • too bad we're cutting so much funding to space programs. I was hoping to get off this rock at some point... guess not.

  • And god made the world in 7 days did he?..........mmmmm

  • We watched this video in class and I had to take a break because of all the information

  • these series have one flaw...

    they're in 240p...

BUT I DONT CARE I LOVE THEM ANYWAY!!!

but i mean seriously... they should be 2160p or something with those beautiful images

  • @ONceupONatiME13579 Yeah, HD wasn't available at the time of my uploading these. The best the ESA even has to offer for these videos is full SD, 720x480. However, I do have many of the Hubblecast videos available in HD in my channel.

  • i have a question. why we wouldnt just upgrade hubble instead of making another successor that will cost so much of our resources? since hubble can be upgradable

  • @loopz321 Because any device or instrument outside our atmosphere suffers a lot of exposure to radiation, microscopic impacts and a wide variety of other decay. Eventually, the device wears out to the point of diminishing returns. Everything, and I mean everything, has a life expectancy. To continue repairs on the Hubble now would cost more than to simply build a new device. Very much like a dilapidated building that is falling apart would cost more to repair, than to simply build a new one.

  • @cronoslogic the video is so informative .. thank you!

  • If You want to know something funny,or tragic depend haw you look at it. This piece of wonder could not find American flag on the Moon,or the rover,or the landing platform left over on the Moon. But it can take pictures of object far far away. I hope that China astronauts find the American shit on the moon. We may have to pay some money to China for maybe putting the American flag there, and be quiet about it,heavy price to pay after all for that TV studio show from 60'

  • @CastleRockCO

Are you a mong? Of course it can't see a flag on the moon, it isn't designed to do that. Its designed to see things very very far away. The moon is in our backyard. Its mongs like you that make me question how we ever got so far as a species.

  • @CastleRockCO It's a telescope designed to be farsighted. Oh and did you direct your so called fake landing? Hmm? No, I don't think so.

  • @CastleRockCO you conspiracy theorists make me laugh.

  • @p51spittinnails they should be pitied not ridiculed - and then taught some science

  • @sockington1 The problem is, logic places no value in their mentalities, so they won't listen.

  • libraryquiet tell me what is so ridiculous about my comment dont the Egyptians and the Mayans demonstrate more intelligence than us with all our modern technology i could say something nasty or insult you but I will be the better man have a great day.

  • realmente impresionante.

  • I cant believe that the ancient civilization of the Egyptians had more knowledge about the cosmos than we do with our fancy Hubble Telescope. We need to get our heads out of the ground and reconnect with nature WE are nature but we are to busy with our 9-5 life.

  • @SilentEcho25 ... the Egypians did not know more about the Cosmos than we do with Hubble. That's ridiculous.

  • @SilentEcho25 Hey SilentEcho after that ridiculous comment of yours a month ago you should stay SILENT! You know nothing about how nature works, the cosmos and the universe. As well as human history. Bye echo...., echo....., echo......, ....., .....,

  • @libraryquiet -libraryquiet tell me what is so ridiculous about my comment dont the Egyptians and the Mayans demonstrate more intelligence than us with all our modern technology i could say something nasty or insult you but I will be the better man have a great day.

  • @SilentEcho25 Like I said you know absolutely nothing about human history or the universe. Leave it alone I'm telling you. Bye sweetheart.

  • The only bugging me is the narrator swaying back and forth so much. Otherwise, awesome vid

  • 1:02 how is 16 metres long the size of a small bus? Pretty big bus if you ask me!

  • 04:00 - And here we have this implied again. "No one nation could undertake such an enormous project", he says. And yet, over its lifetime thus far, Hubble has cost USA and EU citizens 62 cents per year per capita. Nope! Pushing that to over a dollar a year would destroy any one country's economy. But we in the US don't mind spending $2000 per capita on a totally pointless war, thus breaking the bank, and then claiming we can't fund science properly.

  • Just imagine what we could do with a space telescope 15 metres across!

  • @Ohreallynowai...........NASA does have a telescope that will be released as early as 2011. It looks like a dish

  • 10 x dislike .... why ???

  • well techincally speaking, if one person goes to space and if he is able to find that huble telescope in his way then on the basis of rule "if i found a coin on the ground it will be mine" so that hubble telescope will be his (FREE) !!!!!!

Guys, whats your plan ? let me know please so i can start managing my pocket money accordingly!!!

  • The hubble is like 20 years old, I am no expert but isn't most of the hardware kind of outdated? I think with the technology of today we can build a much better telescope that houses the best camera(s) ever created by human beings. Are there any plans for a Hubble II or something?

  • @OhReallyNoWai astronauts go on space walks and upgrade it sometimes, the only reason for a hubble II would be if it got destroyed somehow.

  • @OhReallyNoWai There have been for years, but no one's really gotten around to it. It's gotten a few upgrades over the years, but yeah, it;'s a bit outdated to say the least.

  • Why are the images stored in Munich?

  • why destroy the hubble once the new telescope is in place? why not have 2 telescopes? if the time is so preciouse wouldnt 2 telescopes alleviate that?

  • @kaferere you're done fool. I'm not going to bother with you for the next 7 videos in this series and dick around with your idiotic comments. Piss off.

  • so mate calm down whats your problem?...

  • @030terror That guy was running through every video and posting his rhetoric. Spammers will not be tolerated. Opinions are fine.

  • @kaferere saying the things you say is like saying im not a junky

  • I would like to know what nasa's logic is by de-orbiting the HST as stated in the last vid, if telescope time is a premium. and with the introduction of the WEBB telescope, also i'm certain better launch vehicles in the future. why can't they just put in into some kind of holding pattern or in standby mode?? the more the merrier I say..

  • What about Chandra???

  • Comment removed

  • I Have a Question..

Why Hubble can see pother galaxy, but can't see Pluto correcly.. ??? WHY

  • Hubble detects anything that gives significant amount of light and forms image through this, anything that does not give enough light forms up mere pixels, so you can imagine how much light a galaxy would possess in contrast with the planets and the sun here! Galaxies give huge amounts of light, so they are detected! Light is your answer!

  • propably because pluto doesn't give almost any light, only the one that is given to it from our sun. nevertheless, i have never heard that hubble can't see pluto correctly.

  • quality engineering goes into that telescope but yet we stil have alot to learn about glaxies and the things in space there always seems to be that other question behind another behind another but were getting close to understanding our universe! thanks for upload 5* and faved..

  • God....pffft...

thanks for providing my laugh for the day...

a bit sooner than i expected, typically i laugh when Obama and Congress open their mouths...but, you beat him to it...

    thanks again.

  • @helltrackrider go back to china comie

  • fail

  • space and what goes on there is the most profound thing there is..nothing compares to whats going on there no word can describe the mystery and the unknown things what lie there...where does space end? does it end? whats happening there ?.. we need to know these answers to change the way we think as people.. so we can our put our existence in perspective to whats we reálly should be doing.. and thats helping mother earth survive and its inhabitants live in peace and love

  • Btw do you know the avergage human can only use up to 8% of their brain.

Where as Einstein could use up to 15% of his brain and many people who range with him.

  • i wonder what hubble is focused in on now i bet its far and radioactive and awsome! thank god for space and jesus for shouldering our sins the resurection is pretty cool to oh ya check my riffs

  • cuz science attack there regilion lol i hate religion am a man od sciences

  • How do you go from watching a video on the Hubble space telescope to religion and science conflicts?

  • the religious are to defensive, everything we know is ultimately hypothesis. so everyone just chill, and converse

  • you guys talk to much just watch and enjoy this well made series.

  • space should be our god

  • Did hubble capture heaven, Jesus Christ, or Allah himself??? All religions are gross and should be illegal. We are a crazy mistake due to an explosion in space. Stop wasting your time and money on Sundays.

  • did hubble capture the hole universe? no.

  • it was not meant to..

  • the whole universe is infite... not even the best telescope can get the whole universe, but hubble showed us a lot of things never imagened by man

  • it isn't sure that the universe is invinite, but after the big bang galaxies move away from other galaxies, making the universe bigger. there is a theory, that when the power of the bing bang is eliminated and the glaxies have stopped moving, they will come back together and crush on each other and the space will become as small as it was: we will be able to hold it with one of our fingers.

  • agreed

  • Comment removed

  • Did you capture heaven, Jesus Christ or Allah himself? NO. So just shut up. I bet you are an American.

  • DamControl2 that is not only Stereotypical but also racial towards americans (and yes its possible look up the definition of racist) sciencetist never said you don't have do believe in the bible to explore the universe, nor did God say you have to stay on earth to be religious and love him, before you open your mouth actually read a bible and a tex book too , have fun watching :D its a great series!

  • Did you realize that it could be a different dimension? Did you? No. And what's so bad about Americans. They are all different religions, races, and people, from all over the world. Insult an American and you insult yourself.

  • Do people who dont follow religion believe in Jesus? I have no idea lolz

  • ???

  • his moral message yes thomas jefferson was a deist and thought it all a privative superstition but believed in the moral teachings of jesus and thats about it...he wrote the book "the moral teachings of jesus christ" if you dont believe what im saying

  • Since you brought that up here: I mean there is historic evidence that a man named jesus existed. I dont know about the son of God theories.

ENJOY THIS VIDEO DUMBASS. Dont think of other things !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • question wouldent hubble have taken pics of ufos buy now an its a nasa think so isnt it free for us to no. its a Public item right. ??

  • If they got an UFO on one of their pictures they would erase the picture or keep the picture secret. NASA has connections to Area 51 and THEY are behind the UFO´s we sometimes see on the sky. Most people are still thinking that anti-gravity is impossible.

  • The hubble is incapable of capturing small objects you idiot, it can only capture objects that casts large amounts of light.

  • Spot spitting your conspiracy theories around here. Even if there is intelligent life in the universe, the distances are just too big to be passed by matter. And on top of that, our (intelligent) history is only several thousand years old. On a universal scale, most other intelligent species out there would either not exist yet, or have died out already. It is unlikely that two intelligent races meet each other where each has a lifespan of maybe 20 thousand years in a universe as old as ours.

  • woah that confuses me.. i wish i was slightly intelligent :\

    x

  • Get the fuck out, Do you think the hubble can capture photographs of a tiny spacecraft?

  • yay more school i love school its so fun yay i mis school

  • what should we spend it on?

    war?

    oil?

    chinese products?

  • foreals... lol

  • @Forestsarecool no....spend it on,

    .removing world poverty

.helping in natural and artificial disasters

.increasing health facilities all over the globe to stop the current no. of deaths caused

.and, to give our attentions to the ignored regions and people of the world!!!!

  • examination of the space and the space viacles. it's our only hope to survive.

  • Didnt you gave yourself the Answer ? ;)

  • I'd like to think that the new telescope will make Hubble look like toy Binoculars

  • so you have to think with that..coz sometimes our brain swindle us,...you got what i mean dude?

  • Because we humans need to travel into space/other planets sooner or later! We have to prepare. Besides all branches of sciense aid eachother in some way, a discovery in biology can help another brach discover something etc etc. So we cant just focus on stoping disease, altho scientists are putting alot of effort into stoping different diseases. To pay taxes for science is one of the best thing you can pay for damnit! better than many other things.

  • Exactly. And most of the diseased and poor will be left behind anyway. Social evils will indeed end someday; nature will end them.

  • what we need to do as a species is put an end to the monetary system and the religious system and THAT will elimate a truck load of our problems

  • um ok? explain

  • @nicholasweakland We need to eliminate monetary system, alcohol drugs tobaco, and leave clear minds of humanity.... and then miracles will start to hapen ;) Religion is good ;) then We know that creator of our world is not we, but some high power, we need to respect ;)

  • @FruityLoopsas- Religion was created to separate mankind. It worked. There is but one creator, He did not return with Jesus or Lucifer. This is a family war. And that war is with the DNA and humans. The fallen angels taught man how to hate build kill and plow and protect. Not the maker. The proof is in concrete. I had to say it. cause mankind needs peace, Rather than many reason to fight. Spread Peace. Not religion. We are humans of Earth. Act like it.

  • @nicholasweakland

yep, we need drop this rotten way of life... most ppl just exist (sex, buying useless crap, work, tons of not needed law, justin bieber and a lot of other crap )

humanity should evolve with respect to the nature... stop war.. stop religion..monetary system.. and clear those whole "NWO" class system crap..

there are thounds of inventions hidden because someone must live in "luxury"

ah crap... this is to small for discussion.. is there any global forum ?

  • @nicholasweakland What we need to do as a species is put an end to our species mind to understand that there a infinite ways of describing this universe. Religious texts are so old that they had their own way of describing this universe. Imagine how 3000 years after people can laugh to our civilization. Learn to respect and challenge your mind. I admit that most of recent forms of religious actions can probably be totally bullshit.

  • @nicholasweakland oh my god i love you. the best thing ive heard all day hah

  • @nicholasweakland and anime and videogames too go on the bandwagon.

  • @nicholasweakland Nonsense, I am tired of hearing anti theistic sentiments when it comes to the beauty of our universe. Humanity will always find something to fight about, so please stop insulting religion. Most theologians and theists have an equal fascination and wonder with the Universe as atheists. Why wish the destruction of theism or atheism when we can work together to accept the challenge of the stars? I think this is far more meaningful.

  • @94ruski Greetings fellow earthling! I've been browsing you tube for many months and after reading your paragraph here, i can tell you honestly thats the most logical thing i've heard in bloody ages!

Good health and long life to you and yours.

  • @stephenboing And to you sir, I am glad somebody shares my thoughts.

  • @94ruski

    True...true...

Why can't people all think like you. Instead of fighting, why can't we all appreciate together? Do we always have to fight when it comes to this? The beauty of the universe is for all of us to enjoy and understand...

  • its obv not god, and religion does not give hope, i am not catholic, and i am perfectly fine with lots of hope and a good social life.

  • One man suffering delusions is called insanity, a group of people suffering delusions is called religion

  • good quote, who is it from?

  • thank god for ESA and the chinese art of war

  • funny, i thought that the heart just pumped blood throughout the body.

  • You cannot define an unknown force as being god without showing some sort of proof. Anyways, which scientist said that there is an unknown force out in space? I'd like to see a video of this.

  • God, the adults' santa claus.

  • people like you hurt my brain in ways i didnt think were possible. Religion is a social construction, please do us all a favor and get an education...

  • valleygirl1919, with all due respect, god is irrelevant here. Let's say there is a god, and he created what we see. Granting that doesn't EXPLAIN what we see. Had we not studied gravity, instead accepting things fall to the ground because god made it that way, we wouldn't have gained the understanding of escape velocity to put the Hubble in space in the first place.

The question isn't, "Is there a god?"; but rather, "Does crediting god with creating all this add to our understanding of it all?"

  • I agree whether True or not..Religion does gives one hope. Sometimes we need that in this LIFE.

  • while there isn't a religious bone in my body, I must appreciate the fact that religion instills hope, and without hope we are nothing. Hubble has shown us the 'downtown' of the universe, and i don't see any proof of the creator yet...

  • why the fuck are you lot talking about stupid fucking religions!!! thats contained in earth!, this video represents the vastness of Space as far as the hubble can see!

ps. fuck all u religious types biatches

  • i dont believe in religions but i can understand how made the space and the earths and how can be that the space is haotic and always continue

  • dude religion sucks and hes right Christains have very much burned people believe me i research these things i am half way done with my book

  • I think most of the religions is just to make you not afraid to die. Makes sense, doesn't it?

  • Surely one of the greatest achievements of the human race.

  • i didn't expect the video to end so soon... i am heart broken :(

    WE LOVE YOU HUBBLE!

  • Great instrument for mankind to better understand the universe.

  • like a FOX! you have never seen a bod like mine!

  • Science is right, religious is wrong... about space!

  • No, about everything. Morality even more so than space and every other field of science. We know now that the majority of the garbage presented in various religious doctrines are abominations in terms for morality.

    Religion is wrong about everything.

  • realistion isnt wrong about space just look into enstein and look up about the string therory it will tyransform what we know of the universe and time and spce it is hard to beleive though. i find it hard to understand

  • 15%????

  • yeah, all the religious fanatics should just shut the hell up.

This is science, this is reality.

  • Weng does this mean you think religious people cannot take an intrest in science?

    you're wrong.

  • Im pretty sure youre retarded as well.

  • LOL Watch Chapter 3 of this series... its in there.

  • And who preytell did we get from mars to earth? Taxi perhaps? I suggest you go out and buy a good camera, shove it right up there, and take a picture of Uranus!! OR stick it in your ear and take a photo of a black hole!!

  • I mean, if the Hubble can take pictures from billions and billions of years of distance, why are we still getting crappy images from Mars surface, don't you think they're hiding something?

  • I think hubble is too powerful to take 'close up' shots of our planets, because it was designed for long distance work. And of course, NASA isn't the most reliable source when it comes to so called national security!

  • come on. you get the same "crappy images" when you try to take a picture of a zit in my forehead from a distance of 2 to 3 meters with a digital mirror-refleks camera whith a huge lence.

  • Id love to hear what facts you have to base your belief of life on mars. Tell us how you know more than scientists and NASA who have actually sent probes there. Or dont and keep your idiotic comments to yourself.

  • religon is a fantasy put into out minds by the higher powers to keep us back from advancing ourselves as a whole. ever since the beginning of man there has been religon in our minds. if the people of this world could look past whose religon is the right one and which people are a better "race" we could be so much more advanced. To me race is not a color or shade of skin, we are all the same race: humans. we need to realize this if we are going to survive and further ourselves.

    peace.

  • i agree, very well said

  • This has nothing to do with Hubble.

  • Why do people need to drag the "god" concept into science, where these beliefs have no place? Sit down, watch the video, and shut the hell up. And if you don't agree with the science, don't watch the videos. Nobody is begging any of you Bible thumping or Quran toting fanatics to view this content. You chose to watch it and you chose to drag your fairy tales into the conversation. From here on in, any comments relating to "god" will be deleted promptly. Know this and don't waste your time!

  • enjoyed it good vid thx ive seen all of them noe chapter 1, 2,and 3

  • no one ever spotted an UFO so far :(

  • Everyone will have different aspect on this so just let it be. and its to* not too on my last post sorrie.

  • well I aint a Religious person myself just saying that there has to be another lifeform or somesort in another galaxy or somewhere. It depends on who you talk too and what they belive in about god. Maybe some say god created everything, some say god created our planets. Man thats their beliefs. Like I said I aint a Religious type of guy.

  • i'm a christian. i will never believe only Earth supports life, that has nothing to do with any religion i know of. and i mostly combine scientific and religious thoeries

  • I disagree with what F3llOffaBr1dge and yourtubeyourass21 said.

God created a book for humans, so if ther is alien life out there, that would mean God doesn't excist.

  • huh? i dont really get how that proves anything.

  • me either...

  • How would it mean god doesn't exist? All it would tell us is that god's work is more beautiful, extensive, and intricate than we once though.

  • em, who/what created god?

  • meh, all religious people are pantheists, their minds are just polluted with dogma, and that's what i hate

  • Religion makes wars happen. I don't hate god for the same reason I don't hate the tooth fairy. As for hating you well of course not. I just feel you are wasting your precious short time in life worshiping something which doesn't exist. Nobody should be hating anyone here. If people are hating you its because they are stupid.
