  • lol Quadrophonia FTW!!!!

  • I want to Know what this guy is working

Space and Money for all that synths cost 1000nds of Banknotes :)

  • how do you edit videos like that!?

  • @hayabusafmw how or why? :)

  • Very very limited but very nice sounding...

  • perfect!!!!

  • 8:26 on, especially that bit with the tornado footage intercut with the girl dancing in circles is some of the best video editing I've seen in awhile.

  • Excellent

  • Showing you not what a synthesizer can do, but what a really cool guy can do with a synthesizer. :) Thanks for your really impressive and instructive demo ;)

  • Gr8 demo and very imaginative

  • 8:27 - 9:16 Mate, if it is your own, please finish it.

You did a wonderful job with Lesson I Learn and Krew [Blood], I enjoy listening to them, even though Krew has horrible quality xD

  • @ 6:08, Autechre?

    Nice sound

  • @electrorganix

Yes! He actually played the first bars of two Autechre tracks, from the Pi movie sountrack...

    Amazing!!!!!

  • @Shivotheque Thanks mate, cheers :)

  • can someone please help me understand how to record with this thing?? thanks.

  • @TheDLovas First you turn on the power, then make sure you have selected preset 001 and set all sliders and knobs to about 50% (or 12 o clock). Now position yourself towards the back of the JP-8000 and speak with a LOUD voice into the hole marked "PHONES". The JP should now record everything you say. For playback just hit any key. If this didn't work on the first try, reset all knobs (NOT the sliders) to zero, power down the unit and restart this procedure.

  • @HOOKSnKISSES thats not what i meant but haha it was funny

  • dat wuz funny in da beginning

  • I love how everything seems straight out of a John Carpenter's movie recorded on a Betamax on a June Saturday night in 1984.

  • It has der nice blinkenlights

  • pi at 5.45, that is seriously fucking impressive

  • 08:27 OMG maaan :0 make this song! :D its beautiful!

  • wow..

  • 5:00 LOOOOOL!!!

  • Your videos are just absolutely insane. Beautiful synths, beautiful sounds.

  • awesome work and great playing mate, but this is one of the most overhyped synths ever . . . any other synth from this time sounds better and have more opportunities . . . sounds like a tranceboy :P

  • I got this synth 2 days ago, its my first synth and i love it!

Check out my Channel i uploaded a song that i made with it

  • @Zulucrown yeah, you told us already

  • Great playing, great sounds and awsome video......nice one mate....

  • Shaye! <3

  • @def0rm0 is the goddess bunny the same person as shaye? interesting he used clips of the goddess bunny in this

  • ha nevermind :)

  • A + for the Pi soundtrack parts ;)

  • Wow I've never seen a digital synth with such an analog sound. Very rich and beautifully sloppy sound.

  • fooooking awesome, going to power my JP on right now!

  • I have one of these, I like programming those big vintage pads, but the one at 2:00 is amazing, haven't made anything like that yet

  • Deeply disturbing as always. And absolutely brilliant! :)

  • Excellent Music/Video Jexus!!! Thanks!!! Does anyone know which movie that is of the bear fighting the gorrilla? and the one with the strip girl in a cage?

  • I want to see this guy´s hands on the Alesis Andromeda ^^

  • @01Mai1983, i second that, it'll be like a nuclear explosion!

  • well everyone has to make music with what they have and not wait "the next big thing". i had a cs1x at somepoint.... worst filters ever :) but found other uses for the machine... (mainly pads....) so as i said its what you do with it not what you have...

  • Jexus u alwayz make the best video`s!!!

  • Roland synthesizers have GREAT filters. I was playing a Juno Stage Just yesterday, and even THOSE filters are GREAT. Their other synthesizer, the SH-201 has EXCELLENT filters. The Reso doesn't squeal too loud, though, but the Cuttoff and Reso working together sound like vintage synth filters. This things filters sound good also. NICE video!

  • @VacTrooper : sorry but i have to respectfully disagree about the filters .

However Jexus can make anything sound good. Also all is not filters or "phatness" there are other textures in the music. A person that spends time to go deep with a synth....and not just play 3 presets.

because of his demos i have got 4-5 synths ;)

  • @mamonu72 when you are exposed to nothing but crap gear (like mine), you begin to appreciate other stuff. the sound of my CRAP equipment is burnt into my skull, so i like anything different. my opinion, however, remains valid. the sh-201 sounds good.

  • @VacTrooper : great. its what you do with a synth not what you have in my opinion. :)

  • @mamonu72 Agreed. I always end up finding out new stuff the R3 can do. :)

  • very cool :) 6:20 reminds me of kalpol introl

  • awesome!

  • Brilliant as always.

    Radias video soon?

  • 4:23

Andrzej Zaucha - Byłaś serca biciem

  • LOVE the theme and video at 2:20!

  • @MichaelBlue72

Sounds like Members of Mayday - Culture flash

  • 00:40 just amazing tune :) 05:43 Clint Mansell, love that track :D 06:10 sounds like Kalpol Intro :D 08:40 wow, amazing :) 09:19 loved this one too.

  • yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • And then Autechre... :P

  • HAHAHA @ 5:43! Nice choice.

  • Nice. i liked your intro clips with the tv controller switching chanells and intermitent switch backs. The Juno looks and sounds great under your expert supervision. Keep it up!

  • @punarnee Juno??

  • i've played one of these i didn't like it that much but you make it sound great

  • @joshingledew WC hates it as well, look on his site.

  • He doesn't completely hate it, just average JP-8000 owners possibly. He says it's overated compared to other synths, and thus ok. And why spend your money on a synth that's simply ok, when you can get others that are far superior for the same price?

  • @whizkid515 Actually what he wrote about the JP-8000 seems to indicate he likes it: "There are people who say the JP-8000 sounds terribly plastic, whereas I and others say otherwise."

He disagrees that it sounds "plastic" if you read that. And I agree too. People who are bad at making patches won't like the JP-8000. That's what it comes down to.
