Steam has been really good with this, keeping all my games in a nice library. Then EA comes in and pulls their games off of steam so they could sell them exclusively in their own little system. I bought the boxed version in the store. Cam home to find myself installing Origin and the game. Try to start it, Origin says "The game is not installed. Install now?". So i downloaded, waited. Started the game. Exited the game to find myself needing to reinstall it again. This has happened about 4 times in total. I now play Battlefield Bad Company 2 bought from steam. =)
EA Games should go and blow some camels for making such crappy shit. What the fuck did they think, they cant release game without bugs and error, they cant fix them and now they try to make a "portal"? Its doomed, they are diggin their own graves by fucked up bugged game releases, and now this "scam" program. One thing is for sure, i am never going to make Origin my favorite "portal", i rather die.

I have BF3 on PC, and their Origin service is terrible. It even says "Beta" on it. It uses way too much memory for what it is, and it forces you to launch the game from your internet browser. The service uses 130mb of memory just on idle, and your browser uses more memory being open. Steam only uses 12mb of memory on idle, and I've seen it use 50mb at most.
The game itself is great, but the Origin service is crap, frankly.

@TestingMyEdits EA want to get people to use their service, however, they can only do so on PC, because if they forced people to use origin on PS3 or XBOX, Sony or Microsoft will deny them publishing rights. If you want to great games series like Battlefield, Skate and other series, then a console is probably the way to go. Soon enough, Origin will get a lot better or be scrapped. @himynameispuky i agree entirely, if it wasn't for valve we wouldn't have the 'havoc' physics engine which most top selling games run off, all of the COD series and all the HALO series for example. Although in my opinion EA's physics engine 'Frostbite' is better, Valve is what started the craze of first person shooters with 'half-life'. In my opinion EA should stop this childishness and give up 'origin' and sell all their games through steam. It's just easier and more profitable that way.

@TestingMyEdits EA's blockbusters suck anyway. The only good game series they have is Mass Effect (I don't care about realistic FPS's)
I think Steam will be just fine with, oh, I dunno, just about every blockbuster from every publisher other then Steam.

EA? first they buy a game, like the sims, then they destroy it (with a lot of bugs and NO patches) and then they force you to install shitty stuff like origin...EA will never beat steam. and to be honest...other publishers like bethesda trust steam, and bethesda is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better then any shitty EA stuff, and yep thats reallity. and no, iam not a fanboy :) i just realized taht EA is CRIMINAL

@himynameispuky i agree entirely, if it wasn't for valve we wouldn't have the 'havoc' physics engine which most top selling games run off, all of the COD series and all the HALO series for example. Although in my opinion EA's physics engine 'Frostbite' is better, Valve is what started the craze of first person shooters with 'half-life'. In my opinion EA should stop this childishness and give up 'origin' and sell all their games through steam. It's just easier and more profitable that way.
