I agree, Rob's still good but not the Highs of yesteryear. Dickinson is still class, he flew my folks four years ago and laughed over a coffee with them in the airport when they said their son liked Priest better than Maiden, ha, ha. Great and talented bloke to boot, an accomplished fencer too.

Saw them at Sheffield on Friday and although Rob didn't even attempt the highs of years gone by, he was in TOP FORM and bellowed out one of the best Priest sets I've seen since I first saw them back at a pub in 1975! Tremendous gig! Better than the Angel tour in 2005 IMO.

I dont think I've ever heard him sing any of the Painkiller songs as they're on the album. Fucking unhuman. He still sing them better than anyone else though.

Gotta be kidding me, talking about the Painkillersongs, right? Heard Ripper try A Touch of Evil? Halford still does it better than him to this day. But yeah, Ripper got a bigger range, but I think his falsetto sometimes sound a little odd. So I still prefer Halford, even though Ripper performs Painkiller "better".

Halford was untouchable re his octave range until the mid 90's. Ripper can get there but at his best cannot touch what Halford achieved. I was completely blown away from when i first saw them in the 70's and I've not heard anyone to touch him since, nobody!

He should do this with the Painkiller. He is to old to sing it so high. Now when performing Painkiller he wants, but time has done damage to his perfect voice, and it does not sound to good. But he is Metal God and will always be. Go Halford!
