the american indians take the scalp of the enemy after killing them, but for the igorot they s take its head and have them dangled in their territory as warning not to mess with them. igorots are the most fearful and stubborn tribe of the philippines, great culture.

only in the philippines...this is the legacy that proves our forefathers bravery to ward off the westerners' attempt to erase the very fiber of our identity as genuine ygorottes. these people am sure are from besao mountain province as their intonation dictates. i'm from there too.
Nope you are absolutely mistaken..these people are from Denmark not from Besao(US).Their intonation is typically sagadians met ah!well, just clarifyning.thanks
excuse me...what restaurant are you talking about...they are performing their ritual because its their way of living...in fact, their location is not a restaurant...Obviously....
i think Vamoalla was being sarcastic my friend,I visited Banaue and Sagada in 2006 it was great, I was lucky to witness an Igorot ritual myself, they sacrificed some animals to the 'rice gods'
How beautiful to see my people maintain their religion as contrary to the White man's religion which is so predominant in the lowlands and other colonially contaminated areas. We should do more to preserve our heritage and our way of life which is getting polluted as time goes by. What a shame to learn that some of my brethren are even ashamed of admitting their ethnic background.
similar to it..and by the way mt. province is located in central luzon...they speak different dialect...check your map. the only thing i don't like in the video is when they kill the animals...it's ridiculous! the animal
no, mt. province is not located in central luzon it is located in the northern part. they're speaking their local dialect but they can speak also ilokano. well your animal humane society has no authority over them cause they're in the phils. not in canada.
ridiculous? these people only kill what is needed. They consume eveything, nothing is waisted. You want to see ridiculous act look at the way westerner slaughter their animals for meat(particularly US and Canada) they even made documentary about it it's called "Earthlings".Mass slaughter of cows, chickens, pigs, damn it will make you not consume meat.
ridiculous! what ridiculous are talking about? i cordially invite you to research about the life and cultures of my people. you might come to know that my people are more humane than your animal humane society.
no they speak ifugaoan... ilocano is the cut up version by the spaniard missionaries (so they can understand it)... the real igorot languages had too much spells... ilocano has spanish words in it... pretty crazy...
These are Igorots from the Mountain Province. Sagada to be exact. Igorots from the Western Mountain Province towards Ilocos Sur has Ilocano mixed in their dialect. It's called Kankanaey. Very different from the dialect in Bontoc.

no..but they sound similar to the ilocano because both ilocano and igorots are located up North instead down south in the PI where most Tagalogs are at.
