Nothing but this song has brought tears to my eyes in the last 40 years.

My family didn't last, and I had to leave them.

This song sends me right back to the day i was moving out alone, and at the parking lot, my son asked me, when I came back.

Since then, a yell of pain and anger got stuck in me, leaving my heart hollow.

I'll never get why there is so much negativity around The Red Shoes from Kate Bush fans. It's as if people were saying 'how dare our very precious Kate Bush write a pop song?'

The key with bush is that she will always do what you least expect. There were fillers on the Red Shoes, but for me this song is a blinder. Very straightforward break up lyrics, but the emotion of her vocals is stunning.
