Also I'd like to say that those who compare Subaru's to Volvos should put an end to all the hater comments. A Volvo cross country is not in the same category as a Subaru outback. I own both and they don't even try to do each other's jobs....My outback is a toy compared to my xc70.
@Cyberwwwizard -Yeah, them Rolls guys really know how to build a genuine 4x4, and Mercedes really have som outstanding compeditors in the XC70 segment!
The Driver/shooter of these videos are either a) intending to show the XC70 as a bad car, or b) a serious idiot behind the wheel. In my region, we have snow/ice 6-7 months/year, and we drive many XC70's here, on proper tires, that is.
I also have a XC70 and never had the kid of problems you experienced in deep snow. What kind of tyres were you running on while shooting this video? I suspect either summer/all season, or very poor quality winter tyres. I repeat, this never happend to me, no matter the conditions (snow, ice, mud, etc)
How cares what tires he was using?! It just a video of what he wanted to put on youtube...

He´s also wearing a fake (illegal ) Canada Goose Snow Parka. Just look at the fur on the hood, it looks nothing like the real thing.
A man that wears a fake jacket is not trust worthy, ergo: summer tires !

Not just summer tyres lol....his angle gear on the shaft to the rear wheels has gone. That'll be about 2000 euros to fix!

hes using all season tires, if he would have used summer tires the car shouldn´t move at all cause the tires get 0% grip. :P
