thanks Looking... that was only my second attempt at doing a mix (I did a version of The Rising too that's on YouTube but it's much simpler) It'll be a while before I try it again - so much time went into it ; )
New Bedford, MA - Land of fish, AIDS, gay haters, stripclub vendettas, pedophilic policitians, clams, lobster, scallops, unlit runways, whaling history and a handful of other good stories! Nice place actually though. Where are you from?
Hey, Bill. Actually I never liked the recorded version music: overproduced arrangement that is somewhat woolly and distracting with all those sound fx. The live version is better, more in to rock style.
So, wanna say I like your version for its transparency!
hiya Antonio - yes I've heard (and understood) criticism of the album "Tunnel of Love" that BS relied too much on cheezy-sounding synths. I had fun doing this though and learned a lot. I think I'll do it again though - with just me and the guitar. Thanks, buddy!
Wow Bill, I'm amazed! You're a professional. Great work, you approach the song in such a way that it seems like it's a whole different tune, you reinvent, amazing job... Keep it up, can't wait for more.
Thanks Matt - nice of you to say so ! but I'm strictly an amatuer - I've never even performed in front of an audience. I'm just getting into the GarageBand software that allows the additional instruments. (it takes TIME though,lol...)
Thanks a lot, Ken! - If you could have seen me working on this... oh lord... I fiddled with it for about hour every night for a week. But it's all fun. BT
sounds great Bill....good job with Garage band..Ive done a ton of mixing in my time and I know how hard the work is...But I enjoy watching...thanks..Oh and I have the PSR 292...Great Machines and the drum kits are killer ..lol..See you on estreet

This video is oddly reminiscent of the video the Boss made of this song: just sitting in his kitchen singing and playing guitar.
Next time, try to get the camera to gradually zoom in closer and closer during the song. lol
