  • Extremely impressive, and potentially dangerous. If you push that there is a possibility of dislocating your shoulder, if you do that the injury could prevent you from doing it again. But if that does not bother you then more power to you!!

  • Nice dept of your back tho just a personal opinion i think it would look a lot nice if you kept your elbows straight =P just what i think lol it may be harder to hold but getting low like that with straight arms looks a lot nicer form wise no hate tho bro i have some pretty sick hollows too but i think yours are lower lol

  • Ok... impressive strength... but the hyper-extension will destroy your spine. Most gymnasts have a number of vertebral fractures and disc herniations due to hyper-extension and straight-leg landings...

  • @Fierar7 Thanks, but I do not think that there will be problems, but in this video, a strong bend in the back, now it is much smaller (the whole body is in horizontal position)

  • @Fierar7 Is it hyperextension or straight-leg landings that cause spinal problems? I don't know the answer, but I do know that each one exerts very different forces on the body. I tend to think progressive back-bending spinal exercises can help the spine be strong and resist injury.

  • @Fierar7 Come on!Most gymnasts do shit loads of activity in flexion (including passive stretching and crashing off things), have a ton of structural balance deficiencies, typically eat like everyone else (poorly), and you say all of their back problems are down to arching? A totally natural normal movement by the way, show me a mechanism that tries to stop it and I'll change my view on that. What's your explanation for yoga guys with rock solid backs? Where is the lock leg landing here anyway?

  • @Lyddonick i cant completely disagree with her, theres deffinately at least some damage being done. but, i dont think she's realizes the difference between men and womens body types. not only that, a lot of female gymnast done have the stregth to go with their flexability. The way the dude in the vid probably learned was starting from a handstand an making itsy-bitsy progress over time. whereas most female gymnasts learn by bridging and back bends.

  • @Lyddonick You're talking about low level gymnasts. I've never met a highly competitive gymnast with "a ton of structural balance deficiencies." They wouldn't succeed.

  • @Fierar7 It's true. My rotator cuffs are destroyed and my lower spine is in rough shape. From doing this exact exercise. It looks great in the circle, but has proved to be quite detrimental to my physical condition by the age of 26. And I quit dancing over 5 years ago.

  • O.O how do ppl do these things i swear, like im sooo bad at hand stands hollows, elbow, inverts, i still cant get them and ive been practicing for like months, its not that i dont have enough strength to hold them but i cant get my back straight so i just fall down right away, i think its cuz i always hunch my back when i was a kid
