  • Too those that don't know, this isn't an actual official Bond film, this is a comedy spy film that is a satire of the Bond films. Casino Royale is the first James Bond novel by Ian Fleming in which this movie is loosely based upon but at the same time, not based on it. The official 2006 film Casino Royale starring Daniel Craig as James Bond is the most accurate novel-to-film version of Casino Royale.

This satire version is very entertaining though. :D

  • My god, ads every 15 minutes. I think i'm gonna slit my wrists while they run.

  • wow u gotta love the ladies from the old days

sean connery was and is a very lucky man

  • The new one is not bad, this is better!

  • I stumbled across this... not what i was looking for but watched it anyway lol.. odd but worth watching

  • this guy studders bad

  • A completely unlikely and dispirit assemblage of some of the finest actors of the era, a plot that bears little resemblance to the novel, Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass with a terrific soundtrack, some very clever lines and awful puns - and total non-stop mayhem and pandemonium. What's not to like? There's only one thing missing (and it's popping right now. (Don't even mention that grotesque remake...) Thanks for posting!

  • The Only thing great about this is Ursula Andress and the few young wemon but thts just me

  • truly one of the all time greats. thanks so much for posting. major thumbs up,,,,

  • if you like this video check out some of mine on my channel

  • Woody Allen as James Bond? Inspired!

  • hairloom! haha excellent wordplay

  • Why when I am watching this movie on youtube, in the middle of the movie a google ad starts playing and then the movie ends as if I had watch the whole 2 hours 11 minutes and 8 seconds when I have only watched 10 minutes and 7 seconds? I've reset the movie several times and it is now driving me crazy. Why? Why?

  • All I can think of when I hear the theme song is Will Forte and Peyton Manning dancing together in a locker room, while the rest of the SNL guys bust up in the background.

  • am in the bloods bloods for ever

  • suck a nut

  • lol bitch

  • at 6:12; what kind of james bond is that;he look like liberace; that ain't no james bond; more like jane bond....david niven ought to quit with that dime store wig on...

  • @melollylolly its a spoof not a real oo7 movie

  • @melollylolly lol use periods not semicolons, and its not needed after the "6:12," just an FYI. Makes you look stupid...

  • woody allen is the best

  • BIG waste of time...

  • This has always been my favorite Bond film. That platoon of actors, 5 directors, several kitchen sinks thrown in the mix. Ursula Andress and the way overlooked Daliah Lavi are too beautiful for words. The scene during the ending punchout where the Indians stop to do the Twist(?)is hilarious and lets you know for certain that the film is one big joke/roast.Whether it's bad or good depends on the individual's open-mindedness.I figure you have to laugh at your fictional heroes once in a while, right?

  • Scene at 1:10:24 is hilarious! Only a brilliant performer like Anna Quayle (Frau Hoffner) can get so many laughs and create so vivid a character in less than 5 minutes! FYI for fans, Anna is still performing and is as entertaining as ever, starring in a brand-new series of online-only comedy shorts! To find Anna videos, search YouTube for anna quayle as madame claire.

  • this is a great movie. foreshadowed austin powers by 4 decades

  • lol 11 girls from 16-19 and they're all SMOKING HOT SLUTS

  • a HAIR loom LMAO

  • "My goodness this is strong shampoo" lol

  • Niven and Sellers must have been hard up for work to appear in this.

  • This movie was hilarious....great cast.

  • "Born Free" for the symbols of monarchy.

    Priceless

  • OK ,here is a history lesson on Casino Royale and the connection between the author and James Bond.

Most researchers agree that James Bond is a romanticised version of Ian Fleming, himself a jet-setting womaniser. Both Fleming and Bond attended the same schools, preferred the same foods (scrambled eggs, and coffee), maintained the same habits , shared the same notions of the perfect woman in looks and style, and had similar naval career paths (both ranked in naval Commander).

  • In 1967, Casino Royale was adapted into a spoof Bond film starring David Niven as Sir James Bond 007 and Ursula Andress as Vesper Lynd. David Niven, had, in fact, been Ian Fleming's preference for the part of James Bond.[38] EON David Niven is the only James Bond actor who is mentioned by name in the text of two of Fleming's James Bond novels. They chose Connery for the run of the franchise movies, this is the only Bond movie with Niven..

  • Fleming was inspired by his service in the Naval Intelligence Division of the Admiralty, mostly an incident depicted in Casino Royale, when Fleming and Naval Intelligence Director Admiral Godfrey went on a mission to Lisbon during World War II. At the Estoril Casino, which harboured spies of warring regimes due to Portugal's neutrality, Fleming was 'cleaned out' by a "chief German agent" in a game of Chemin de Fer.....there is a movie about Ian Fleming and his activity as an agent...

  • I can write about an hour on the subject...but here is the title to a movie that will open eyes about James Bond and Ian Fleming...also when Ian was in the spy biz with his Majesty,he had a friend that was an inventor,he invented many items still used today,he is established as "Q" in the movies...here is the title of the movie, ironically it stars Connerys son..."Spymaker - The Secret Life of Ian Fleming"it tells the whole story and is a good spy movie of facts about Ians service to the Queen

  • To appreciate how great of a spoof this is, you have to appreciate and understand James Bond movies for what they are.

  • wtf is this?!

  • This the kind of movies that were very popular in the 60s..there is a long list of them and really they are pretty good movies for the time, you can't really compare them to todays movies...Whats New Pussy Cat is a good one,and woody allens 1st role, they are all loaded with actors that are well known as this one...another good one is its a mad mad world ..all the pink panther movies are from that period and basically spin offs of this one...anyway...watch some of them, you will enjoy watching

  • its very strange but its hilarious

  • This is a parody of 007. Like a joke. Not a serious movie.

  • Captions?

  • Is this streaming? some kind of stream streaming?

I like when the video loads while I'm watching. To hell with streaming streams.

The movie stopped at about 27:00 and it took me five minutes to get back to around that part of the movie.

  • The new one cant compete with this masterpiece...

  • @doctorwintercold the new Casino Royale is loads better than this mere spoof

  • @captaingradetwo I couldn't agree with you more!

  • @captaingradetwo If you view this film as ironic, than it really helps make the medicine go down. This is not really meant to be a "Bond" film. I think movie lovers tend to appreciate this film; Bond-movie lovers tend not to.

  • Great Movie. Fantastic cast.

  • Funny movie for the times, classic 60s comedy. David Niven is hilarious and the girls are beautiful. A must see.

  • lol@ bond's speech impediment

  • Just look at the scale of the four opening characters. William Holden, Kurt "I did not come her to be devoured by symbols of monarchy" Kasznar, Charles Boyer and the immortal John Huston. Hollywood legends all.

  • At 2:02:30 David Prowse, of Darth Vader fame, plays Frankenstein's Creature. After this, the movie takes a seriously wacky turn with cowboys, indians, seals, a chimp with Shatner's hair piece, and the French!

  • Thanks MGM Digital Media for making this classic available. It's nice to see where the Austin Powers films got some of their shtick from.

  • i not goint to buy anythiung the ads are advertizing.

  • ssshhhhhh if they realize that the ads are pointless were going to be forced to do serveys then

  • DOODLE ME

  • Wow, 40 years ahead of time: this movie had am homage to "Balloon Boy" and a chimpanzee playing Donald Trump.

  • That scene where Peter Sellers is in that brain washing machine and ask to pick the winner of a beauty contest...

    cool looking stuff.

  • What is the song beginning at 1:56:30? It is absolutely beautiful.

  • Debussy, Clair de lune

  • watch?v=CW73CbxGB6U

  • Thank you very much :)

  • @5k4k1dhtp It's the interlude from Claire de Lune by Debussy--played extra fast tempo. Would be interested to know what happened to that piano. Never saw one quite like it. Perfect for my '60s bio-morph decorated love den.

  • With these full length movies, we really need a Fast Forward/Rewind button.

  • I just love how every big letter in the opening sequences has something to do with tits, cards, and guns

  • Oh Peter Sellers. I miss him.

  • haha wierd but true

  • Best movie ever

  • 007 is tha best mooveee

  • Peter Sellers and crew made a classic parody of James Bond.

  • I'm only 50 minutes in, but its funny that Austin Powers was a closer remake than Casino Royal (2006)

  • 1:22:45 HA

  • one of the most well done random movies ever!

  • Excuse me, Sir

    I seem to have misplaced

    my Ace of Hearts.

  • Lovely Lady:

    enjoys playing cards

    looking for a worthy opponent

    ---The Queen of Hearts---

  • am i the only one who thinks their dad was a perv

  • The whole thing is soft/out of focus... what's up with that??

  • orson welles said that this was the most lucrative of the movies that he ever appeared in, and he attributed it to the naked girl on the poster.

catch the flick "house of cards" if you can. It's from the late 60s and stars George Peppard. Welles plays an excellent champagne villain in that.

  • Orson apparently did not get along with Peter Sellers. They never appeared together- it looked as though they did though thanks to good editing.

  • Welles used a lot of wierd camera angles in that one ,this wasnt the first casino royale there was a made for tv version with barry nelson as bond and peter lorre as the villan [ before dr. no ] .Bacharach did a record called woman with the houston symphony the music has the same flavor as this [ who has it ?] .

  • the beginning is really long

  • Love the music.

  • Luv the end with the indians, goldladies, cowboys, bubbles, flying thing, fist fight, and the exploding casino!

    So idiotic, it's funny!

  • LOVE this movie! Genius.

  • Never noticed before that David Neven's Bond studders.

  • w-w-w-what did u s-s-s-say lol

  • adam is a phenix

  • Yeah you're right gamedude...it is from those skits with the basketball team and the strange coach ahahahah...those are so funny.

  • lmao the intro song of this movie was featured in an SNL sketch, it was hillarious!!

  • what is this goddam ad i can't get rid of?

  • I saw this like a year ago. Peter Sellers was an AMAZING actor. This is why I can't stand the new Pink Panthers. Why mess up a good thing?

  • hey i just happy. when my tv breaks. i basicazlly have a back up. thank god.....

  • I was in my teans when I first saw this movie. In 1994 I was working and this movie came up. The kid had never heard or saw this movie. Loned it to him. Borrowed and had a showing at his house with other people his age. He said they all couldn't stop laughing. The cast is perfect.

  • fuck you. how's that for weird.

  • fuck you too guy

  • :( lets just get along

  • sounds good to me

  • Thank GOD we still have a country where me and a lot of other weird people can still express our thoughts. Sort of shows things at a different angle. Don't you think?

  • whatever ronald

  • Seven James Bonds at Casino Royale,

They came to save the world and win a gal at Casino Royale

Six of them went to a heavenly spot,

The seventh one is going to a place where it's terribly hot.

The formula is safe with ole 007

He's got a redhead in his arms

Oh, he's a lover, when you're in trouble

Have no fear, look who's here

James Bond... They've got us on the run

With guns and knives. We're fighting for our lives...

  • Never fear, Bond is here

The formula is safe with ole 007

He's got a redhead in his arms

Oh, he's a lover, when you're in trouble

Have no fear, look who's here...

James Bond... They've got us on the run.

With guns and knives. We're fighting for our lives...

Have no fear, Bond is here.

He's gonna to save the world at Casino Royale.

    James Bond...is here...so have...no fear.

  • When I first saw this film in about 1970 I thought Niven played a character worthy of emulation: smart, deceptively strong and courageous despite his size, and committed to his nation. I started to talk like him as a kid I loved the character so much. I thought it was great that he was able to resist beautiful women too (I was only seven), I finally married someone who, I didn't realize until now, looks amzingly like Deborah Kerr. What a film, I even love the music. A life defining moment.

  • Hilarious!

  • David Niven lived with regret that he turned down James Bond, so he made this film to spoof and to answer questions in why he turned down James Bond.

  • David Niven was originally asked to be James Bond of 1962 but turned it down. Sean Connery was next in line for the choice.

  • There are three versions of Casino Royale. The first in 1954 was an episode of a CBS anthology series starring Barry Nelson as CIA agent Jimmy Bond. It's mostly forgotten, but it's why Broccoli didn't own the rights and another production company could make this version.

  • fuck you.

  • Great film

  • I did not come here to be devoured by symbols of monarchy!

  • to answer all ur questions, this movies supposed to be a comedy

  • wtf is going on in this movie, is this a joke film?

  • Comment removed

  • I think thats "Parady"

  • Rather, this movie is a parody.

  • Yeah. Parity is an idea having to do with farmers' agricultural prices in the 1920s. Big difference :)

  • Too bad Blofeld and SPECTRE wasn't in it.

  • "We're fighting for our lives"

  • wait was the new one a remake?

  • not at all.

  • Sort of. If i remember correctly, Casino Royale WAS one of the original James Bond books written by Ian Fleming. The film rights to that book were bought by (whomever) and when they decided to make the movie, they --shall we say -- strayed a bit from the source material, making a comedy instead of a straight ahead spy movie.

  • Casino Royale was actually the FIRST of the bond books, if i remember correctly. by the time things rolled around to making a Casino Royale movie, all the plots from the book had been used in other bond movies so they just went bonkers with it. i love Peter Sellers, but i find this one disappointing because of his leaving in the middle of filming, resulting in an even more nonsense plot.

  • "all the plots from the book had been used in other bond movies"

Ummm, but Bond movies seem like a rehash of the last few films. How many times has Thunderball been remade, same situation used in You Only Live Twice and the Spy Who Loved Me.

  • but you have to remember that at the time that THIS came out... there were only SEVEN bonds so far... (well.. not sure if You Only Live Twice came out before or after this did... so it might've only been six) and besides... The Spy Who Loved Me didn't come out until another 10 years after this and YOLT.

sure.. things have been rehashed SINCE then. but at the time they were still working off of that first book. at least up TO that point.

  • by probably Albert R. Brocolli? the producer?

  • Did NOT expect to see this here. This film is a classic, and among my favorite productions ever. I guess it doesn't matter to these cretins that this brilliance is offered for free (heh, legitimately).

The only thing to waste here is the time that we obviously wouldn't otherwise spend making the world a better place, so just settle down and drink in the absurdity.
