When you beat the game, it asks you if you want to save the game. Here is where you save the game in a different slot, because you are saving a cleared game, which is unplayable.

You didn't use a password before this point. You have to either use a password or transfer your data from the first game in order for this to work. Also, if you want to use a password, you can use mine. Check out episode 32,

It just means that you didn't use the password, or linked up games.

It doesn't affect story.

It doesn't matter whether or not you change the names or not. The character will get the effects of the password regardless.

lol, yeah, they are. I love grinding. It just makes things easier in the end.

The golden shoes give the highest defense/agility boost for boots. They are one of the best boots to have.

Even if you don't have it, it won't matter, because there are better boots to get in the game.

They won't attack you unless you completed the event in the first game and transfered the data over to the second game.

If you used my password then they should have appeared. It has already been tested about 3 time with different saves.

They won't appear if you already obtained the Cyclone Chip and talked to Karst. They only appear right after it.

No, they aren't even part of the story. They are just there for the boots.

Not entirely. They do give the ability for you to get Isaac with the stats, levels, and djinni that you ended with in the previous game.

You do need the password in order to obtain 2 of the summons though.

First of all, if you didn't use a password or linked the first game with this game, then you won't get the event.

Second, even if you did use the password, then you must have completed a certain event in the first game in order for it to happen.

You have to have transferred data from the first Golden Sun using the Link or Password system that had Isaac talking the the mayor in Vault after the bridge to Kalay was fixed.

If you used my password, and saved after using it then it should work. If you used your own, then you may not have done the event in the first Golden Sun game.

In the first game, after the bridge connecting Vault and Kalay is fixed talk to the mayor. That there is the event.

You have to import data from the first Golden Sun. There are two ways to do this. The password system or the Link-up method.

Not really. Just things like the Golden Boots, Golden Shirt, Rainbow Ring, and etc.

Since you already did Madra thing, the thieves will not be there anymore.

You won't be able to get the Golden Shirt until you get Isaac and head into the Shaman Cave.

The Rainbow Ring can only can only be obtained the first time you enter Champa.

I've realized that if you fight these bandits on easy mode (I was lvl. 53) then half of the time the battle description will either say "Theif1 glowers ferousiously" or even "Theif2 is so intimidated he can't move". I laughed...
