just seeing this video kind of made me think how black people seem to have retained that role of the entertainer. a large part of the wealthier blacks in this country are in the entertainment industry. just an interesting observation, nothing more. Fats Waller's great. good stuff.

He's probably the greatest paino player in jazz history ...and he wrote and gave away (sometimes for hamburgers and steaks) more jazz standards than most musicians will ever learn.
