Heya, I'm one who tends to lead to the right, but I've always LOVED this part of The Parallax View. It's a brilliant sequence. And what you did with it was very good. If I may make a friendly suggestion to find even more stills to make this an AWESOME update of the original '74 version. Please believe me when I say this is excellent editing. I would just suggest a total overhaul of all the images so they're all contemporary. Great work!
Always loved that movie..good job..maybe the CIA picked up some pointers from you...they've come a long way from recruiting LHOswald. Now it's Tim Osman, but the plan hasn't changed.
A good job, but not ironic enough. For "Enemy", you show the usual suspects: Bin Laden, Kim Il-Sung. The most disturbing image is for "Happiness": you flash an image of WTC getting hit, which took some guts.
I'm quite impressed, what a great job! The images you found fit in so well it's almost scary, your left with the feeling that if they were just making this film today, this is the way they would have done it anyway. Also,I liked the way you "kept pace" with the form and style of the original, with some photos appearing only for a second and some just a little longer, the whole photo-then just part of it.You really did a great job, very professional looking.
the level of political discourse has so changed in the past 30yrs...when we saw a picture of Kennedy or any president, it was a symbol of the country regardless of how you or your parents voted. Now it seems like 1/2 the country acts like they're under house arrest until their party gets back in...
Not bad, but the shakiness is evident. Also look for older shots of personalities, like some Nixon and Kennedy (from the original will do), and some LBJ also. Some Jim Jones and Jimmy Swaggart will do fine also. Overall, not a bad job--just flesh it out more with more personalities.
