Even the best wrestlers can be taken down. There's no such thing such as training enough to prevent all takedowns. BJ Penn was thought to be impossible to be taken down but Frankie proved otherwise.
What I wanted to say is that he should train his wrestling to an extent where he can reduce the chances of being takendown to a considerable extent so he can have a good chance of standing up with his opponent.
Of course he is, but he needs to train his wrestling to a level where he prevent himself from being taken down all 3 rounds and being grinded on the ground which is a huge week-point in his game (in my opinion). If easily he gets takendown all the time he cannot seriously have a good chance of showcasing his striking skills and win the fight.

Im born and raised in the United States and i think Hardy is great. I dont understand the problems some americans have with him. I must say though, I am fairly sure that the 152 pounder on my high school wrestling team could take Hardy down and keep him there.

@dhowardfacial lol I am fairly sure no high school level wrestler is going to be able to take down Dan Hardy in an MMA fight. If you meant in a wrestling match, maye if the kid is state champ level. But, thats kinda pointless to even talk about as Hardy fights, not wrestles.

@Robschach13 He finished second at states as a junior and he is continuing his wrestling career at the Univeristy of Maryland. So in a wrestling match he would smash hardy and i think he could take him down in a fight too. Look him up. His name is Kyle Dehaut. He has a video on youtube.
