  • Well, at least there's one decent journalist left in the universe...

  • Comment removed

  • oh i love romney. go get em man. Good thing you dont let people with an agenda get to you.

  • I wish I had Glen's contact info so I could thank him for doing his job properly. Thank you Glen if you ever read this. You're one of the few. Fuck Fehrnstrom. There is no such thing as fair and if anything, the government has taught us that. We NEED TO QUESTION these supposed leaders and you did. God bless you!

  • @bluemileDOTca johnson at globe (dot) com

  • Anyone who votes for Romney needs their head examined.

  • Romneys a joke

  • What a Snake!

  • Fruedian Slip @2:52 When he says "that's just a word" -refering to his saying that lobbyists aren't 'running' his campaign. He's absolutely right, 'running' is just a word, further proving Glen Johnson's statement that romney was trying to argue semantics.

  • Ron Paul is the conservative choice Liberal Romney is the status quo GOP choice. vote Ron Paul for smaller government. Integrity, honesty and the constitution are not four letter words to shy away from.

  • Tomatoes To-mah-toes. A lobbyist ON his campaign staff IS running his campaign. Oh, and he's NOT going to Washington as POTUS.

  • 2008 Top contributors list, Google it yourself.

    Goldman Sachs $234,275

    Citigroup Inc $178,200

    Merrill Lynch $173,025

    Morgan Stanley $170,350

    Lehman Brothers $144,100

    UBS AG $123,850

    Bain Capital $123,150

These totals were given by "individuals" from those companies but do you really think Mitt will be much different regarding Wall Street than the current occupant who has these same people stacked in his administration? Hummmm...

    Ron Paul 2012!

  • @nalejbank Please continue to post this. Dont stop!

  • Im siding with the reporter Glenn on this one. He called him out on lies. And when Romney thinks he gets off the cameras he rushs over to try and intimidate him like a chump. Whoever the jackass was telling Glenn to ''be professional'' needs to take a hike. Glenn as far as Im concerned acted more professional then Romney or his staffers.

  • Mitt Romney believes in the Book of Mormon. "God cursed the Lamanites (the ancestors of the Native Americans) causing their skin to turn dark and making them "loathsome" to His people." 2 Nephi 5:21-22

  • It Looks More Like Mitt Romney Represents Ball Point Pens And Not People. What A TightAss :D

  • Slippery Mitt.

  • @nnelson Under the rules of the bishops handbook disregarding he prophet of he church is grounds for excommunication from the church. How is it a person like Mitt can get away saying that the church wont influence him in any way and remain a member, and if I Say that I am brought into a meeting with the bishop and stake president?

  • Good for Glen for seeking the truth. Perhaps the way he went about it was less charming, but it's refreshing nonetheless.

  • lulz I think you're rude and ugly. Wow 2 years.

  • I dont trusy Mitt Rimney for one reason hes a mormon. I used to be mormon and at the MTC (missionary training center in provo) The teach you how to BS new converts into joining the church. Mitt got busted and pulled the semantics card which is typical of mormons when they get caught not being on the up and up with people.

  • @williamiwu

Seriously? All Mormons lie and manipulate people into joining the church? Really? How exactly do Mormons BS new converts into joining the church?

  • WOW! If all journalist were doing their job like this guy and reporting the FACTS, the world would certainly be a better place!

  • 1 month ago today, I was let go from my job after 16 yrs. & 4 mos. I have also been denied unemployment benefits (appealing). I am a 45 yr. old white male, SC native, Navy veteran & member of my American Legion post. I will be a hard worker for whoever hires me. I don't believe in sitting on my rear collecting a check. If anyone can aid in my quest, I would be greatful. Either reply or call 864-445-8545 or 864-554-0517. Any assistance is a appreciated. Thanks. mkl62

  • I smell BULLLLLLLLSHIT!

and "Stop being argumentative with the candidate" says Eric F. Pffft! Give me a break!

Look up Obama's Advisor also -

Zbigniew Brzezinski - Pol Pot in Cambodia and Taliban in Afghanistan.

    War Criminal!

  • save your what??...i'm doing a transcription of this & and i dont undertand very well...

    :S

  • *understand

  • "I don't have lobbyists who are tied to my (campaign????)". Get his second statement. All of these bastards except Ron Paul are lying demons from Hell. If America doesn't fight to get him in , they will get more of what they deserve. ronpaul2008 dot com

  • I'm not sure this is exactly the right way to do it, but I sure wish the reporters in Japan would grow a spine and make this sort of challenge once in a while.

  • first the guy says that what romney said is accurate but only because of semantics...then he says its a total falsehood. make up your mind dude.

also we're not talking about microscopic semantics here. He didn't say i don't have lobbyists advising on my campaign...he said running. You can't be a liar when you are telling the truth. If you want clarification...ASK FOR IT!!!

  • It is a lie Mitt was telling. Mitt intent to to leave a false impression, and be misleading. Sad Romney's mind is so twisted and evil he doesn't know that and only continues to show what a liar he truly is-- and someone never to be trusted.

  • FACT. Ron Kaufman (the Washington lobbyist mentioned in this clip) is tied to Romney along with others, like, Vin Weber (was a congressman, now lobbyist), who work to have OUR hard earned tax dollars siphoned to the corrupt United Nations. And Romney says he is going to change Washington, please, who is he kidding!!!

  • Obviously there's only a handful of people involved who know the facts of the matter, and I dare say anyone posting here is not one of them. Save your judgments and wait until we have a president in place. Whether it's Romney or someone else, the real issue at hand is how well the job of the President is performed. Anybody care to deny Romney's track record of executive work??

  • Lobbyists and Special Interests are destroying the country.

Any politician that has them in their inner circle needs to be exposed.

  • Wow, your video is amazing! I've decided I'm not going support Mitt Romney because a fat-assed reporter argued over words with him. Who runs Mitt's campaign? Beth Myers. Beth Myers isn't a lobbyist and it's as simple as that. Romney doesn't have paid lobbyists "running" his campaign. Wake up idiots!

  • Glen Johnson showed the true colors of the media... opinionated jerks. Romeny's point, that he doesn't have favors to give to lobbyists is still valid. Mr. Johnson seemed like a jerk to me. I must say, Romney stood up to this jerk, and it made me realize that he is tough enough to stand up to people. Unlike some I know (Hillary Clinton).

  • Reporters are actually supposed to question and call bullshit and NOT just parrot spin, lies and deceit.

Unfortunately that is pretty much all we've seen from the media.

I wish there was an army of Glen Johnson's holding these snakes to task.

  • We *do* have an army of Glen Johnsons, and they are worthless to the cause of truth because they do not call out *liberal snakes*. The reason for this is that, vile though the Johnsons are, they are not yet cannibalistic in nature. (Personally, I find Romney one of the least reptilian of the candidates.)

  • (P.S.) "Call out" ought to be "_chew_ out."

  • I remember Bill Clinton getting railroaded by all the media for a f'n blowjob so don't even begin to try the typical bogus "liber media " bullshit.

That's a complete joke that argument and exposes you for what you are.

    "Liberal Media "

    fuck outta here

every mainstream media network cheerleaded for the Iraq war. every single one.

  • You are the polite one, aren't you? (Frankly, I don't recall Bill ever getting railroaded. I do find it amusing that now, with their very-ownest candidate in the race, the blacks suddenly have decided the Clintons are racist.) Since when are wars only a Conservative "thing"? After all, who got us into both World Wars? Didn't the Vietnam troubles start in the Kennedy years? How come the Democratic congress didn't get us out of Iraq when they were put in for that sole purpose?

  • The Iraq war was a "popular war". Saddam was a secular Muslim thug, that everyone could feel righteous in destroying -- including most liberals. (Iraq was still an immoral war, however.) Back to the election: the media either is certain that McCain can't beat a Dem in a National, or else they just want to make sure both candidates are raging liberals. The media is lib, & most Republican's are as well, if they go with a liberal as maniacal as McCain.

  • lots of thugs in central America ereagan supported in 80s... whats your point about popular- Bush went in almost alone without UN approval on purpose-he's a truth distorter like you.

  • I never considered the UN to be America; sorry, I cannot make out your first 'sentence'. This argument could go spiraling on forever, but what would be the point? I consider you delusional, and you say I'm a liar. I don't happen to think the sensation of banging one's head against a very thick wall composed of ad hominems is a pleasant feeling, so I bid this singularly polite and articulate thread a pleasant adieu.

  • @Audiobagger Wait, let me get this right... Glen Johnson is the jerk for calling platic man out on his lie? Many media personalities ARE in fact opinionated jerks, but Johnson's comments were on target 110%.

I think it's funny that you say that romney stood up to Johnson, but in all honesty, romney left that encounter beaten to a metaphorical pulp. His campaign people knew it too, that's the reason they were in such a hurry to get him out of there before there was nothing left.

  • Nothing to see here. Stop looking behind the curtain. This is not a Romulan invasion. We are a friendly people with lots of money who believe in lots of gods. Yes, we believe there are too many people on planet Earth but we will take care of that. RonPaul2008 or DIE

  • Romney is a liar. Thanks Glen for throwing the Bsh** flag

  • Not a Romney supporter...but nothing to see here.

  • Nothin to see hear

    dont ask any questions

    o.k Mitt

  • Wow, a reporter chastized for doing his job, how ridiculous(sp). At least through these comments I know not everyone is against freedom of the press.

  • What good is a free press if the reporters and

journalists are not allowed to confront those

who are running for president? IF the facts are known and not denied, then the reporter has the right to get at the truth, right?!

  • Heck about that "Romney" supporters, "Romney" "bloodstains" are enough to scare anyone one. Mitt is a 'pathological' liar. Mittwitt follows 'bravely' in the footsteps of his 'families liars' and 'deceptions'

Mitt is RUDE, LYING and UGLY!

Mitt *WILL* do favors for himself and and fiends if he gets into office. Mitt Romney is a LIAR

  • You an always tell when mitt is lieing because he gets flustered like a 12 yr old getting caught in a lie.

  • regardless of whether or not you believe romney, it is absolutely criminal that we've gotten to a point where a journalist calling out a politician is "unprofessional." there is no bigger reason that this country is in the abysmal shape that it's in than the degradation of our media. they're supposed to be the watchdog. well, this watchdog has turned into a well-behaved poodle. disgraceful, at best.

  • The journalist had a right to 'call' Romney on Romney's lie. He questioned Romney, which Romney did not like, because it showed Romney cuts his words too close, and uses his words with intened deception. Sad, when a wanta bee political figure wants to control the press from asking reasonable questions of a candidate. Sure is better than journalist who prints false statements 'to curry favor' of a sap head want-a -bee on the quest for political power.

  • One thing for sure Romney's sure as heck won't be fighting with the American soldiers, they will be where they always have been on the beach and ski slopes-- putting people down behind their backs, and feeling they are Gods gift to the world. Oh forgot, they think God GIVE them the world!

  • CathyR -- MItt would be a awful for this nation. There were way too many women and kids abuse in his families stakes, way to many lies, abuses, harassments, lives destroyed. They are without mercy, kindness, or care. It would be a dark day for this nation if Romney got in. Your understanding is limited Cathy.

  • May I ask if you were, as a child, traumatized by reading "Riders of the Purple Sage?"

  • You mean the purple gang?

Romneys are limited people, of limited character. Never read the book you mentioned cathyrhiannon.

  • No, but you should see how many kids were traumatized in his ole' stake as child abuse was covered up and dirty ole men protected!

Seems you are as callous as dumb head Romney's

  • You seem quite an authority on "dumb heads." Could it be that... ?

  • at 2:31 romney backs down from a fight like a LITTLE BITCH!

  • "Save your opinions and act professional".

    THAT'S a Press Secretary??

  • on another AP journalis and Mitt thread on You tube. Mitt has his phone number up to his staff office for people to call. No doubt the you tube was put up my the Mitter! Smokescreen and Mirrors put the post in with the number---real funny, real funny!

  • Exposed for being a total liar. Finally, the media tries to report the truth and get reprimanded by their superiors. What a joke. Mitt Romney is a sleazy lying shitbag. What ? was he challenging the guy to "come see him" and "talk" ? Notice Mitt never let off of his sleazy grin?

  • Look Ma! A real reporter!

  • finally a reporter doing a real reporters job ..

  • Mitt the Mormon cultist will never get my vote. He's bought off all the Clear Channel people but he can't buy all the American people. We can see through the chicanery.

  • Glen Johnson = very rude (and ugly)

  • Don't you want a reporter that asks tough questions and holds these snakes to task OR is your sole purpose finding someone to fuck ?

cathy is that you in the video ?

  • When asked: "who are you going to believe, me or your own eyes?", I will believe my own eyes every time. I don't care if the man in

question was or was not lobbying for Romney; Johnson's stunt was crass, obnoxious, *very selective* journalism. Why doesn't Johnson (if he really cares about the truth) ask Obama about the Rev. Wright? Why does McCain

get a free ride from the media? I'd like McCain confronted with his ever changing course of 'integrity.'

  • No, it wasn't me. I would have seconded the women, though, had I been there. Like her, I can say "I'm not with the campaign. I'm just standing by, etc." I think Ron Paul is the best candidate for the country, but I will face the fact that Paul cannot win the nomination. I hold no illusions that Romney is a reincarnation of George Washington, but Romney is infinitely preferable to McCain... from an American (non-Mexican) viewpoint, that is.

  • To be what you would consider 'polite' would allow someone who is being less than forthright to continue to mislead. In ever since of the word Mitt was lying. Your concept of polite, and what a lie is needs to be refined and researched by you. The journalist was right to speak out, he was not 'rude' he questioned Mitt, which he should have done.

  • *Selective journalism*, Ms. James, is the key player here, not a fight for 'truth and justice.'

  • It was NOT selective journalism. selective journalism are journalist who do favors for Romneydumbheadsandfiends and print lies about people.

Romney was call out on misleading people. If I get in touch with Lou Dobbs it will be regards to Mitt Romney and why Mitt is unfit. I thought Romney WANTED to be a Kennedy. I thought MITT wanted JFK jrs. pop to be his dad. If the mitter WANTED to be the next JFK, why knock them? Mitt is a fraud!

  • I'd like McCain confronted with his ever changing course of 'integrity.'

i agree with all of that cathy.

  • Good. To any one else who agrees: write Lou Dobbs and ask him to hammer home what Juan MexCain *really* is. Dobbs and others helped to defeat the 'Amnesty Bill' McCain and Kennedy concocted; America shouldn't give McCain an opportunity to sit in the Whitehouse for four years, all the while trying to ram another such bill down our throats. (And what about the next "hundred years" in Iraq?)

  • Cathy, your training not to challenge someone who is mis-stating facts needs to be reviewed.

Mitt was cutting words close, not admitting to the lobbyists which are close in association to Romney. If the man is flying in the air plane sitting next to mitt -- mitt is close to lobbyists. The spirit of Mitts statement is intended to be deceptive and misleading.

  • Of *course*, Ms. James -- blood-stained lobbyists are *much* more scary than a man (I guess McCain is technically a man) who has been endorsed by La Raza.

  • This thread is not about McCain.. it is about Romney. What got you to bring up McCain? Deflecting again MS. Rhianon? Heck as far as you know,I may be writing in a name!

Back to the topic, Romney was attemping to mislead the american public, it ""was"" "lying".

The AP journalist was right to call Mitt on his LIE. Romney's are plenty 'blood stained' themselves. Romney is "Unfit" to be "President".

  • Read carefully, and I will explain: There is every reason to think that it will be either McCain or Romney for the Republican candidate, right? So, it is of the *utmost* importance to decide who is worst, and then vote for the other one. Because the media has become McCain's base, the major news sources will not inform the American people about McCain's incredible loose-cannon remarks, his apparent pact with Mexico, and his changes on abortion and anything else when it suits him.

  • When I see people (apparently brain-washed by the "fair" and "balanced" media) repeating the line about Romney's "flip-flopping" record, I feel obligated to inform them that Romney is a mere amateur at 'flipping' and 'flopping,' when compared to McCain. And that, Ms. James, is why I bring in MCCAIN.

  • "Cathy, your training not to challenge someone who is mis-stating facts needs to be reviewed." What do you think I'm doing here?

  • I want a reporter to ask tough questions but not an ass with an axe to grind. Romney said he doesn't have lobbyists running his campaign and the reporter insisted that a lobbyist, who is an unpaid advisor, constitutes as "running" Romney's campaign.

  • Mitt was trying to leave an impression with voters he associated with no lobbyists involved with his campaign, thus Mitt chose the word 'running', but Mitt does have them as advisor's,therefore leaving a false impression.

Mitt it is lying, in every sense of the word. Sad, you will not confront yourself on the tendency to lie you have. Sad you were taught to lie -- seems to be a family trait.

  • I was not aware that other members of my family were posting here. Thank you for keeping me informed, much as the heroic American patriot Glen Johnson keeps us all informed on the truly important issues.

  • Oh, excuse me. I realize now that you were "talking" to _Romney._ For some reason, I didn't realize you were conducting a one-sided conversation with him.

  • It was and is an important issue. Good for Glen Johnson for speaking up to Mitt and calling him on Romneys fib.

  • He said he was trying to say - as he explicitly mentioned - that his campaign is not based on Washington lobbyists and that he doesn't have debts to repay to them. But the reporter tried to play gotcha by pointing out one unpaid advisor. And that point doesn't reject Romney's claim that his campaign isn't heavily influenced by lobbyists. But somehow you still insist that this is "lying in every sense of the word". I think it is obvious that you have some sort of axe to grind.

  • O.K. using Mitt use of words mitt does not 'have' to repay them... but it doesn't mean he "won't"... we have to watch and count every word Mitt says, because Mitt likes to deceive with words and does not know it is lying or doesn't care.

  • Ok, you conceded a point for me and then made a point about how he is going repay lobbyists anyhow. Of course, you offered no evidence to actually support that claim.

  • Excellent point, Mr. King; and you were kind to help Sherly with her word usage. ("In ever[?] since[?] of the word Mitt was lying.)

  • This is just a bunch of parsing of words. "Run a campaign" is vague. Live with it, people. No need to get one's underwear in a bind over such wording issues. Move on.

  • Aha, aha ha, aha hahahahaha. Hilarious. Followed by the douche, "keep your opinions to yourself."

  • Kudos to Glen Johnson. Don't take any sh*t from those sleazebags.

  • Mitt has had his 'Lying for the Lord" lessons-- it is on you tube. Mitt sounds like most of the fellows out of Bloomfield Hills stake-- they are snakes-- fibbers, and lie like heck!

But it is Lying for the Lord! Ya, to the AP journalist! There should be more that nail mitt on is deceptions!

  • wow, Mitt is really stupid.

  • and notice how Mitt is using his political time to do ad's for Staples, which Mitt owns,-- Think of how rich Mitt and his heirs will be if Mitt gets into office--- Mitt is already showing he will mix his business's with his politics.-- and that is something to be concerned about!

  • By the way, it's great to finally see a journalist actually practicing JOURNALISM!

  • Think about all the fireside chats Mitt will hold with Pizza from his pizza business in his hands, standing in a staples, banners of his other business interests in the background. Gee, think of all the great decissions Mitt will make if he gets into to the White House, which will make him more money, and have the American people pay through the nose---

  • A crazy cultist Mormon that LIES? Shocking. Of course he's full of b#llshit. He's a little prick.

  • well, see, it depends what you mean by "run" and how many lobbyists justify a plural use of the word. Really, there's only one lobbyist and his title is not "boss" so he's not really "running" it, see.

  • See, your an idiot. The fact that there IS a lobbyist involved has nullified that statement. Gratz to see you stick up for your mormon brother though.

  • this was interesting, but irrelevant. it doesn't matter who wins, the US gov't is corrupted and disgustingly full of sh^%! Where are our forefathers?

  • Romney at the 2:50 mark looks like a spoiled little rich kid that is about to jump up and down because mommy won't buy him what he wants.

    Pathetic

  • lol

  • I was listening to NPR the other day and they played a clip of Mitt giving a pep talk to his fund raisers. And I quote, "make whatever promises you have to."

    America...Fuck Yeah.

  • It depends on what your definition of is is.

  • Romney is a liar! He lies so much he doesn't even know his "real" stance on anything. John Kerry must have taught him how to "flip-flop" like a Democrat.

  • That was not a speech folks. That was an on the road press briefing. Big difference! Yes some people in the store were close by, but it was a back and forth with the press corps.

    Glen did his JOB! Refreshing!

  • Glen Johnson is my hero! And this wasn't a speech this was a press conference. HUGE difference! A reporter would not interrupt a speech, but Glen is doing his JOB calling out a candidate on issues that should be pointed out.

  • Actually, I'm happy to see the guy challenge him in public. It's NOT challenging people that gets us into trouble. Look at the mess we're in right now w/Bush: b/c everyone thought he was immune to criticism his admin has made a mess of things. Altho, I'm sure that this Johnson guy has been dogging Mitt for days now...

  • BURN!!!!!!

  • Kaufman = Chairman of Dutko, which lobbies the US gov for Citgo, the Venezuelan (as in Chavez) oil co. Dutko's pres., Craig Pattee, is a "national finance co-chair" for Mitt. And, Dutko employees have donated at least $15,400 to Mitt's campaign, says Federal Election Commission records. Dutko took $3 mil in lobby fees from Citgo since '98. Mid '07, Citgo paid Dutko $170,000 more. Sept. '07, Dutko hosted a "Rally for Romney" at it's DC HQ.

    Push the "Easy Button," Mitt.

  • "Don't be argumentative with the candidate"?!?! Are you freakin' kidding me? It's about time the press started calling out these jerks on their blatant lies. Maybe if the rest of the media with access to politicians were like Glen Johnson, half our country wouldn't still think that Iraq had WMD's and was responsible for 9/11, our military wouldn't be stretched to the breaking point in 2 wars, and we wouldn't be about ready to head into recession at the hands of these right wing nutjobs.

  • Bye Bye Pinocchio,

Hopefully you didn't spend all of your money
