  • I learned much! thank you :)

  • do you guys feel switching gears are more jerky in a manual car than in an automatic? or do you think with a good driver, someone driving stick can shift as smooth as an automatic car? someone reply plz :)

  • It depends on your vehicle if I don't give my car gas as I let off the clutch it stalls out.

  • Europe stick is common and automatic is more "rare"

  • Gen 6 accord? :)

  • I have the same bottle opener holding my keys!

  • hey my mom has the same gauges, 2002 accord? well her's is automatic and so is all th ecars around me... i wanna buy myself a manual tranny when i can own my own car some day, and when I actually get a license... but I haven't even gottena permit... haha

  • May someone please tell me what was the song at the very beginning of the video, from 0:00 to 0:13, and what was the song that was played in the background from 1:20 all the way to the end?

  • Technically you don't need to hit the gas to get going, but it's in no way worth your while. You need to release the clutch way too slowly for that to be effective in real-life traffic.

  • 2500RPM? in 1st to get moving, WTF? noooo, not with my or any other car i have driven, your just burning ur clutch. i can just slowly let my clutch out with no gas and the car goes no problem, and even wen im on a hill, i never hit 2500RPM to get moving, maybe 2grand but thats only on hills, everyday driving i usually dont hit 1500RPM wen i get moving, unless on a hill.

aanyway, decent video, what u get on ur project, jw, kinda a weird question..

  • @speacialperson12345 keep in mind that this was created around the idea that the person had never touched a stick shift car before... you definitely dont need 2500 rpm to get the car moving, but realistically the driver tends to have trouble with timing the release of the clutch and the onset of the gas pedal when its their first time; the 2500 rpm gives them some wiggle room to account for this

  • @BelleM44 true, but i didnt have any problem. i liked your video, btw.

  • @speacialperson12345 thanks, i appreciate the input too

  • @BelleM44 yea maybe the reason i didnt have much a problem is because i understand cars somewhat, and my dad is a good teacher at it, i learned in maybe a coupe hours of driving, then got better with it on hills and stuff.

  • @speacialperson12345 hahaha, what a noob... he must do it at 1000-1250 or u burn your clutch :D

  • @gOtze1337 well it doesnt burn until it grabs, the longer u hold it at the point where it grabs and the more gas u give it there the more it burns.

  • I shift wen i hit the POWABAND!!!

  • background music is very loud

  • the stick is on your left side though.

  • its not a good idea to use your left foot when you are braking because when you stop you must have your foot on the brake and clutch at the same time.

  • heel and toe method for that braking used br racers

  • @bmtimv wen ur just about stopped is all, you dont need the clutch in wen ur coasting u can just use your brakes and if ur RPM's drop too low, downshift, however i have a habit to leave the clutch in wen im coasting to a stop.

  • it is easier to drive a stick if you are right handed and left footed. right hand for the stick and left foot for pushing the clutch in all the way. i'm that and i think it makes it real easy that way. i still use my right foot for the gas and brake because it only makes sense to do it that way. there is no temptation to put my left foot on the brake or gas. stick is better in just about everything also.

  • unless you live in england where everything is reverse
