@NightHound23 Oh, it just got so much worse. SO much worse. I remembered reading this comment weeks ago, and with the new patch, I had to come back and mention that I now get where you were coming from.

I removed 2 ensnares and had 1 fire and 2 magic towers and each location, also only 1 magic and 1 fire at the center crystal and so far it work effortless untill the last wave. There it got faceslaped by th emini ogres, apperantly their HP was increased as well. They used to have 35K and since last patch they actually have 60K...

Is it just me or has the latest update changed the DU of the electric and ensnare auras? cause if that's right than this video tutorial no longer works. Can anyone comment on this?

@ICGTOH I don't know what Trendy are up to, but this constant shift in the game is driving myself and others away from playing. As far as I can tell, yes this no longer works, maybe with a bit of tweaking.

@NightHound23 Well if you come up with an alternative strategy i'd love to hear about it. The closest i got was taking out the extra auras at the left and the stairs in front of the forge and using two fire ball towers in all the pre-established locations. Using that i got all the way to the last wave, but got completely overwhelmed by the mini-ogres. That being said, unlike your apprentice (clearly level 70) mine is only in the high 30s.

Just wanted to mention, before I saw this, I was building walls with towers behind them on every map I played. Soloing Insane took effort for me in the later levels. Now, I have switched to this aura + tower setup, with no walls, on every map. Soloing Insane is so easy that I can AFK on every pre-Summit level. Thanks again.

@SonnoMaku 'Spanky' is basically a named hamster you get from Glitterhelm survival wave 15. For good weapons generally the challenges on insane provide good base weapons, but a lot of it really comes from what you invest and want it to do.

@Thiora Perhaps with the auras, they play a big part in this. Could even have a friend place the auras and leave if you want less numbers.

@Thiora I'd say the strength is the biggest part of it, the waves aren't long so lifespan isn't needed much. And increase the radius a little to cover the area. A bit of trial and error as you level him will be enough.

@Thiora yeah, then just make sure they've got a semi-decent range, say 14-15.
