Mr. Scottsman, I just got my first banjolele about a week ago and I absolutely love it. I have been playing a Tenor for about the past two months and decided that certain songs just do not work with it. When I first saw your version of Viva Las Vegas, I laughed my butt off! The Banjolele is the perfect instrument to play a song like that on, and I was able to quickly figure out your version in order to perform it myself. Nicely done!
Loved it. I'm just back from the Melbourne (Australia) Uke Festival, saw the Old Spice Boys perform - electric soprano uke, tea chest bass and snare drum - what a sound for 5 strings. did a search on tea chest bass and voila. excellente! The icing on the cake is that you're from Glasgow - me too. gave me that warm fuzzy feeling! :)
I stumbled on Finn looking up the tea chest bass, because I saw one in a Rapalje vidoe....after finding Finn. . .I'm hooked and being from Vegas....this is the best version of this song I have heard in a long time....
I love it. Of course Scotsmen can make good music. I kinow--I have Scots ancesters on my mother's side. I also play a banjo uke handed down from my dad's side of the family--played by a great uncle who used to jam with Woody Guthrie in Oklahoma back in the 1930's
You have some great videos, but please show more of you playing the instrument so I can learn the cords.
Aha! We get a short glimpse of the computer! Which program are you using, Fin? You are great on your own, but with Gus, I think you guys have entertainment careers ahead of you. There must be a club or pub, not to mention a DVD that could be in the future?
Yes... I have been waiting for something new from you and this was worth the wait, a true FIN FAN... great stuff, fins to the left, fins to the right.... Fin's Rocken and Rollen every night... Keep'em coming
Wow.. I had no idea sheds could be held with such high regard. I have to admit, while watching your videos, I have taken interest in spotting items in your shed from the various camera angles. I'll be nodding my head to the beat and suddenly.. "Hey look, some caulk!"
I have also admired your spray bottles etc in their varying positions.
Hahaha!Fun and entertaning as allways! I love the song and the film. There is a crazy-wiggle-dance-lady in it who allways crack me up. Just like you did! Thanks!
this is just genius.

Banjolele, gotta love a banjolele, and a tea chest bass! Not seen one for years!
You appear to be doing different accents throughout. Are you Scottish? Australian? Texan?
Anywayssss...BRILLIANT!
