Hi, do you have a list of things that you changed? I have Fiat Punto 1.2 8v and I'd like to do some mods. How many HP has your engine got?

I have a punto 55 with a annoying short gearbox 50 km/h already in 4 th

80 km/h in 5th

at 120 I make 4200 rev's µ sounds like a coffee grinder, specially when i drive 2 hours at 120 on the autobahn.

What can I do to make the gear ratio different?

are there some custom gear parts available to do that operation?

how did you resolved this main's fiat problem?

But that is a freak car which is superfast.

@all the skeptics - now you see clearly it's a 1.2 8v.

Later in january 2009 we swapped the uno to 1.2 16v.

yep, when i saw this video , i was like NO way is this a 1.4 engin... BUT then i RED the description and it does SAY.. 1.2 8v ... SO not bad man.,.. i would not spend the money on that, but you did and looks like it pulls better then what it was before... ~~!! 1.4 uno motor still kicks some sick ass for the size... Had a 320 kw , 535 Nm engin... It was real tuff on the rubber !!!! :p

This turbo i.e. isn't fast. I had one too, an 1.4 racing but is was faster. The max speed was 215 km/h.

This is not a turbo i.e. - it's a 1.2 8v engine in uno, that earlier had an 1.0 i.e.

Boost gauge shows vacuum. I'll post some photos later.

Why the turbo gauge?

@djoDiO No it isn't, it is a turbo! Why would you remove the engine from a turbo car and put a small engine in and go to all the trouble of hooking up a vacuum guage!

Once you stop accelerating the turbo guage goes down as it should when there is no boost. So I do not believe a word of what you say.

hi there, is the engine mounting completely the same as the punto?

The engine mounting differs between punto and uno, to swap the engine, you have to use the uno mounts, but the will fit, beacause that;s the same engine family. That gives you a plug'n'play swap to all the fire engines - 1.2 8v, 1.2 16v, 1.4 8v, 1.4 16v and also the t-jet's;).

That was a 1.0 and the engine was changed to 1.2 8v form punto I + some mechanical mods.

The pressure gauge shows vacuum, not boost...

se aggiungi 400 euro si ha anche l'assetto (io ho sia il 1.2 che l'assetto e non mi lamento delle prestazioni e della stabilità)

rischio di far saltare il motore all'aria, trattandosi del FIRE, è l'ultimo rischio che si corre e questo te lo garantisco; al massimo si può bruciare la guarnizione della testata se si monta quella originale...

certo, se hai bisogno di una macchina con tanta potenza per correre sul misto stretto la uno non è tra le più indicate questo di sicuro..

beh chiaramente.......io parlo in generale......preferisco che le macchine vengano lasciate in pace.......perchè se nascono cosi, un motivo ci sarà......e poi se ti fermano sono storie, ho smesso di manometterle per guadagnare un paio di cavalli, tutto qui

quando dovevo rottamare la mia 1.0 fire un mio conoscente mel'ha comprata (funzionava ancora) e nel giro di un paio d'anni l'ha rifatta tutta da solo sostituendo il motore con quello della punto GT 1.3 Turbo 8v (credo MPi) insomma l'evoluzione del mitico motore che montava la uno turbo... in più ha aggiunto 4 freni a disco, rinforzato la scocca, assetto... insomma l'ha resa un auto da Rally fatta e finita... ci ho fatto un giro sopra e non credevo fosse ancora la mia cara, vecchia, uno!

Przy serii będzie na pewno ponad 10s.

Ja mierzyłem wielokrotnie i zawsze wychodziło poniżej 10s - 9,7-9,8, ale przede wszystkim głowica dłubnięta i lekki zamach.

Mój też idzie na 2 do 80 a na 3 do 120 - czyli mam długą skrzynię?

Ciekawe ile ma do 100? Mam tylko odetkany wydech (bez kata a końcowy od turbo).

Na razie walczę z drobnymi usterkami ale niedługo jakieś dalsze jazdy...
