Adds say Woolworths with the Safeway logo. And if you lissen to radio they now say WoolworthsSafeway. People still call it Safeway and will for years.
thanks for the info, now i can sleep at night lol, i noticed on their ads here in vic they have recently started saying Woolworths instead of Safeway more often, getting people ready for the change i guess. By the way, you did a crap job of running the trains ;P
Safeway and Woolworths were two different Compaines. Safeway US and Woolworths Aussie.
Safeway had all its stores in Victoria and a few in Brisbane and Sydney. Woolworths did have stores in Victoria but were no where near as popular as Safeway. In the late 80's Woolworths bought Safeway and changed all Stores outside Vict to Woolworths and left all Safeway stroes in Victoria under the name + re branding all Wooworths stores to Safeway. By 2012 All Vic stores will be called Woolworths again
