I used to make these all the time, now am def gonna get back into it regular. Sooo tasty AND healthy! Great with some sugar free syrup/maple syrup and/or fruit btw!! THANKS
@Gus589 I made them, they are tolerable at first, but after you put them in the fridge they are horrid the next day. I mean i'm not here to whine or anything. Diets aren't about the taste, it's about the nutrition. But these pancakes really depend on the protein you use I guess. I used Whey chocolate which is good, but the pancakes taste really bland and have an egg texture. This recipe just wasn't for me, but still much appreciated.
@welshstreetfighter10 If you use milk, the batter will be runnier because the egg whites are thicker than milk. but if you add fruit and other things into the batter I think it would be fine.
dude you dont even need to ask for the like! these videos are really helpful! i was hoping for a high protein pancake recipe and i found 4 all yours! thanks alot man! you don't know how much WE appreciate it!
@flawns It doesn't matter. The protein in the powder will be denatured and broken down into amino acids regardless by the HCl and pepsin enzymes in your stomach. Your body will be able to take up the amino acids and re-arrange into making different useful proteins.
@clemson22 i'd stick with whey in the morning it's better to get it straight to your muscles when you wake up and if this is a night time treat go with cassein, but you probably don't want the carbs in your system before you go to sleep
How are we supposed to get the egg white? I highly doubt you got them from separating eggs cause that would be A LOT of eggs. Did you buy separate egg white? And where can I buy it from? Thanks.
@TornTech yes he bought them seperate in a lot of grocery stores you can buy liquid eggs and liquid egg whites in a carton. They should be in the same area as the normal eggs.
you should wash those pancakes down with my tasty healthy thai tea which gives you fat free source of both protein and carbs without adding too many calories. Check out my channel for the recipe and how to video
Awesome recipe! I just ate one and it's really good. Tasted a bit eggy and it was very filling. I made one serving with 4 medium sized eggs (whites) and 1 scoop of banana flavoured whey protein powder, to cook I used Flora cuisine because we don't have PAN in London. Thanks dude!
for the people that got watery results its cause he used casein, casein mixes a lot thicker then whey. The blue optimum nutrition container gives it away.
Hey your probably not going to read this, but I know at least one of you will. I've been inspired to make health and fitness videos and I want to spread the word about it. Would you please take a second to view my channel and tell me what you think about the video. Thanks guys
@brinouaz No, proteins are not destroyed by heat. Same goes with chicken, fish, steak and eggs etc... Heat does change the makeup of the substance, but the proteins are not affected. They remain intact. And that vegan is a crackpot. Veganism usually results in low iron and can harm the body if done improperly. Our bodies are capable of handling protein through meat just fine. Most people, since the fall, have been doing this and it's worked out deliciously :-)
Did my first protein pancake this morning and i used whey protein the pancake was good with some nearly fatfree jelly otherwhise really dry and another question:
to make pancakes, do you only need eggWHITES or just the whole of the egg?
buckwheat, water, protein isolate powder with no sweatener and flavour added, mix it with a little salt to a little sticky fluid. Bake in olive oil in pre heated pan. Taste real great.
what do you put on the pancakes? just eat it plain? personally I would boil some frozen berries in a saucepan with a little water and some stevia for a blueberry sauce or strawberry sauce or berry compote.
Just so everyone knows, DON'T use regular protein. Make sure it's Casein protein! I just tried to make it with Whey protein and it makes horrible batter (very liquid like base and hard to cook). Also, just a tip I wanna throw out there at you Michael, I love making my pancakes with chocolate protein powder and throwing in a tbsp of natural peanut butter! Give it a try and tell me what you think man.
The Pam should be sprayed into the pan when the pan is cold. Says so on the Pam can directions. I don't see any reason for the lid, is there? I've always cooked my pancakes on a griddle so there isn't a lid.
