Wow! Nice video. I had a very memorable flight flying in an F-16 there at Hickam AFB during Sentry Aloha. Talk about getting to 17000 feet in a matter of seconds. Perfect weather the whole time there. It was a great deployment. I pulled 7.3 G's the first time and 9.? the second time. Fun stuff!

There is a Beach right next to Honolulu international. Government property. When I came to Port In hawaii on the USS Nimitz a couple buddies and I would go out on the beach and Watch the F-16's Take off
Its pretty cool
But of course being on an Aircraft Carrier and Seeing aircraft being launched gets you used to these things
Unless you were there when the thunderbirds flew you were probably watching the Hawaii Air National guards F-15's. They still scramble them on a regular basis. I watch them from my office near downtown.
in 2007,the thunderbirds did a display here in the uk,at fairford !!!and they were awesome....i have a question to any f16 pilot..after watching many videos and displays of the f16...do you actually enjoy flying in highg manouvers??,its looks uncomfortabe from my point of view especialy the way you have to strain your gut to keep concious.i fly light aircraft,and am very relaxed and comfortable with it...hope this is not a stupid question
i have a question can you choose which base to go to or do you have to stay at a certain base?

I dont recall if it was the Thunderbirds or not, It probably was F-15's then. It was pretty dark and all i could see was jet blast.

when i lived on hickam afb (dad's in the AF) i used to do the same. i'd just ride my bike to get there. it was soo cool.

The take off was nothing. The 9 g turn was a killer, without the g suit I would have blacked out.
