  • The girl has an IMDB page! Marja Allen lmao

  • Lolz, it's 20 years later the "computer age" is far from dead, it's more popular than it ever was.

  • i hope you paid to put this video on youtube.

  • What was the future of this MC?is his discography online?

  • if this dude saw pirate bay he would shit bricks

  • You'd think that since they consulted a lawyer, she'd be nice enough to point out for them that their entire argument is based on a logical fallacy.

  • @sieda666 Haha! You said fallacy! +1 for no one being able to take you seriously!

  • @CommentMaster12341

wat? "In logic and rhetoric, a fallacy is usually an improper argumentation in reasoning resulting in a misconception or presumption"

  • aww, I miss the 90s

  • "If people keep 'stealing' (COPYING) the games, the company will make less money."

FALSE. NO. Only people who wouldn't have otherwise bought it COPY it, meaning its just free advertising for games people like.

  • ahh, the 90s

  • ONLY 20 - 30 people?!

  • Don't copy that floppy! Use a dvd instead.

  • damn isnt this video copied?

  • Goddamnit, stupid kids copying all those floppies. Look at the games industry; there's nothing left. Since everybody started copying, the once thriving and promising companies went bust one by one. Why do we live in a world that doesn't value creativity?!!!

  • @bplus1plus1 Does it help your argument to know that more games and studios fail than ones that succeed? If you're a hardcore gamer you only see and play the successful ones. Indie games, and other games which aren't as well known are not well known because they fail, and that is the majority of games.

  • @CommentMaster12341

What is it exactly you're trying to say? Is the statement of yours not applicable to just about any industry out there? Out of the millions and millions of musicians, painters, filmmakers, fashion designers, shop owners, how many do actually succeed? Is there any reason we should make an exception for the games industry?

Also, on 'indie': there's lots of great lesser known films. Somehow that side of that industry hasn't died yet. I don't worry it will.

  • @bplus1plus1 I'm saying more game studios fail than ones that succeed. Which means even if you're not bringing the whole industry down, you're still bringing down individual businesses and games. Which puts a damper on the impact of your argument. The millions of other creators don't get their property stolen and then reproduced (so they lose even more money) en masse. Their failure is purely their fault. Would you like it if you had your paycheck shortchanged because someone else

  • @CommentMaster12341

Before we go on, could you please give me your definition of 'stealing'. According to my knowledge of the English language it is the act of taking the property of somebody without permission, or presenting someone's ideas as your own.

Even if what you say is true, that more game studios fail than succeed, that doesn't tell us anything about the how or why. You're blaming it on unauthorised sharing I presume, but like you said yourself you have zero evidence to back this up.

  • @bplus1plus1 Stole part of it, then stole some more of it? The impact of piracy can't be measured, or even estimated, but who can tell if a potential customer decides to go somewhere else? Its purely internal, and impossible to track!

  • @bplus1plus1 Because of the greedy evil corporations that never valued it to begin with.

    Also fuck you.

  • @moopMASTER2000Films

Ah of course. Wel I'm sure it'll get better some day and you'll get the recognition you deserve. Until then, hang in there bro.

  • This doesn't mention how companies now a days milk their customers to hell, overprice, and don't give a rats ass rather than getting something out the door. So no. Up yours with SOPA, PIPA, and all other privacy invading 'laws'

  • I'm a designer and a programmer and I don't give a shit if people distribute my work, as long as I get credit :V

  • LOL okayyyyyyyy thennnnnnn I won't copy that floppyyy :l pmsl Jesus those glasses give harry potter the right to say go to specsavers!

  • People just want free shit.

  • PAUSE: This is the right way to protect software. It is peoples work, and stealing it is an insult to those who made it. This is not at all related to SOPA, PIPA, or any other bogus DRM tech or policy. I know how to steal software, but I do not. Whenever something comes out I look into it, and the company behind it and I choose to support or ignore that work with my dollar. Now is the time to show companies where the money is. Buy for the ones who denied SOPA, ignore the ones that did not.

  • Worst copy protection software ever.

  • SOPA in a nutshell.

  • Ainsleys as a kid

  • that was magical

  • Meet SOPA's alpha

  • the thought that piracy leads to no (good) new media should be enough. SOPA can just gtfo.

  • I could never understand the point of this you still bought a copy of the game so what is the problem I remember sometimes awhile ago I would copy that floppy and say don't copy that floppy in a mocking voice it was funny.

  • 2012 version

HEY YOU DON'T MOUNT THAT ISO

  • @jamesfish05 I lol'd

  • Long time before SOPA, we have this....

  • @damnzeromaniac

    this > sopa

  • You might laugh, but since I saw this, I haven't copied a single floppy.

  • @mooman72v2 So? Who the hell DOES copy a floppy anymore?

  • @Headphoneguy92 Welcome, visitor from the stars! You have just witnessed what we humans refer to as a "joke". I understand they can be baffling at first, but that should diminish with time.

  • @mooman72v2 Really? Because i was trying to supplement the joke...

  • @Headphoneguy92 hipsters, usb's are too mainstream :P

  • "WELCOME TO THE END OF THE COMPUTER AGE. BUHAHAHAHAHA"

20 Years later, we are able to watch this video and have a hearty laugh of it.

  • that 'rapper' must be shot dead.

  • Wow I never thought of it like that, I guess its hip and cool to follow the rules. I'll do better next time!

  • Well, his predictions definitely came true. There are no more video games being made. Just like there is no music being made now, thanks to home taping.

  • I was shown this in "computer lab" in 2nd grade. The teacher had a completely straight face the whole time.

We also played Oregon Trail compulsively in that class, so 2:06 cut pretty deep for us 8-year-olds.

  • Who needs SOPA when you have this?

  • 6:06 look at the snot underneath his nose. Maybe he should have listened to Devastatin' Dave the turntable slave , and zip zapped away from dem' drugs yo.

  • Forget SOPA just get the DP on a copy of every pirated software.

  • Watching this because of SOPA

  • sup SOPA?

  • Don`t Copy that floppy, just upload to the pirate bay and spread the love faster.

  • Very funny, a black guy rapping about not stealing.

  • @invadersquib hasty generalizations are bad

  • teaching kids through the medium of rap. sigh

  • 2:31 is a scary place....

  • Look at those innovative '2 key' control scheme.

  • SOPA and PIPA in a nutshell

  • I wonder what DP would say about SOPA and PIPA.

  • in soviet russia....

    floppy disk copy you

  • 8:27 You're doing it wrong...

  • Whats a floppy?

  • The guy at 4:35 copied Bill Gates.

  • Comment removed

  • I love how in the end it gives permission to copy the video.

  • i could have sworn i didn't install a black guy on my computer

  • Whoever was playing Tetris was terrible.

  • So they were in a hurry to get to class in the beginning..listened to 10 minutes of rapping, then played the game some more. So...did they just skip class?

  • @txfnero

And then she didn't become a programmer like she dreamed.

And went on to sell pirated stuff.

  • @txfnero Superdork over there was probably just in a hurry to get to her class 15 minutes early.

  • Companies have a right to make a profit. Don't you have the right to get paid for your work? What if you never got a paycheck at your job? Everyone doubts piracy affects the companies, but the fact of the matter is when someone pirates something the companies have lost profit. I don't approve of the governments current measures to prevent piracy, but I believe companies do have the right to make a profit!

  • @CommentMaster12341 Any argument you can make for why it doesn't affect the companies is just an excuse.

  • @CommentMaster12341

Are you doubting my right to do what I want? I eat fucking babies if I want. So fuck you.

  • @Apjooz Its odd you're taking this as a personal attack. Its not your right to do what you want, and to take away others rights. Let me explain copyright to you: when you buy a movie, or a book, or some music, you are buying a copy of the material. You are not buying the rights to reproduce it. The rights are the ownership and ability to legally reproduce, given to the creator by law.

  • @Apjooz Most pirates think they can get away with pirating things "just because" without any ethical right. If it were possible to do something else that's illegal with ease, you would do that to. Technology just allows people to do things illegally too easily. If you think you're so smart, why don't you try battling it out with veteran lawyers and lawmakers? They'd throw your case out and laugh in your face! Face it, lawmakers have the high moral ground.

  • my god, that's so shit

  • I'm torrenting this *troll face*

  • Thumbs up if you actually sat through the whole thing

  • thumbs up if you really wish you hadn't. .

  • this should be on every blank cd, and hard drive, as soon as a rom like file is introduced this song will play.

  • 1:09 what the hell.

  • Balls to that Tetris should have been free originally anyway as it was in the Soviet Union.

  • Comment removed

  • I don't copy floppies...anymore. That's largely because ROM files are small and convenient.

  • People have been copying g floppies for 20 years since this and not a single fuck was given.

  • Wait so only one computer? What if one breaks down and you buy another, do you have to another copy of "The Science Program" then?

  • Corey is such a little shit.

  • Comment removed

  • 3:13 Neverwinter Knights 2 failed cuz of piracy but they finally managed to make it! If u have a Mac just go to the app store.

  • Most annoying rap ever....

  • No one wants Oregon trail most failed pirate ever

  • @SuperGmodkid Um I would pirate Tetris :) Speaking of point & click games I would try to get uninvited for Mac SE.

  • 1:22 - 1:30 can probably cut those two bars out...

  • So there trying to tell me that copying one floppy (Or CD) will shut down the Internet? Nice try.

  • A young queen latifa

  • I want to pirate now.

  • Is that rider strong from cabin fever/boy meets world

  • It's a shame that there was no effective way to compress the video to fit on a Floppy disk so that it could be copied.

  • I ask me if there will be a Dont copy that CD

  • Oh, the nineties

  • I think I like the analog version more. Fits the video better.

  • Copying floppies is good. You can get free games, and this guy appears and sings for you when you do it.

  • I wonder what other songs this artist has made

  • 5:38 -:49 is completely necessary.

  • this is SOME long ad! Was the 90s like this??

  • @665885 This was most likely made to be shown in schools, not aired on TV. I remember having to watch several PSA videos like this in school, such as "Be Cool About Fire Safety."

  • @PanicPagoda I see. So it was something like an educational presentation. Thanks

  • Fortunately, I don't copy any floppies anymore.

  • if this happened in a tight scheduel school, these kids missed 9 minutes of pre-algeabra

  • Kid: But what about the freedom of information?

    Double Penetration: Fuck you!

  • So what? So SOPA is okay? So turning our country into China where information can be taken offline at the desire of a private entity is okay?

  • I wanna fuck her(3:48) and her(4:44).

  • This is bogus dude.

  • 2:09 Tetris Fail

  • Will Smith should have done this video.

  • SOPA = the end of the computer age.

  • @Sk4zZi0uS copied By in the sense of piracy (phone keyboards and mobile youtube suck)

  • @psovegeta I wouldn't say it was copied Steve jobs when he was invited to parc in return for apple stock. If only we had listened to DP... Back in the 80s it was just a scary black guy and software devs... Now we have SOPA

  • 1980s black guys are less scary than 1990s black guys

  • Funny how he mentioned Tetris cause the first release of that game was originally pirated! lol Not to mention the first GUI OS was developed by Xerox and was copied by Steve Jobs and we certainly didn't see the end of the computer age.

  • is that queen latifa xD?

  • no problem man, i only copy to my hard driveee.

  • Jay-Z didnt watch the throne huh,,

  • SPA > SIIA > SOPA

  • LOL

    Piracy, you cannot prevent it.

  • This video makes me want to steal a game.

  • Of course we have to have a rapper in here. We need to be down with the kids.

  • He says "posse" too much.

  • @dinolandra No. You don't say "posse" enough.

  • It's a good thing the only two black people see eye to eye about copying floppies. It's like the little white kid didn't get any of the message.

  • Huh, I must be pretty sad that i know that machine is a Macintosh LC computer.

  • #ANTIpiracy #PSA #PSAs #DontCopyThatFloppy #piracy. (Someone needs to make a #Dubstep remix of this...)

  • Uh that doesent happen. They can't stop me!

  • 2:10 Worst placement of the straight tetris piece I've ever seen

  • Which channel 4 show have I seen this on?

  • It's like he was finger banging the keyboard, hot damn skippy. Oh aye and she bloody wins, two pussies, I bet.

  • 4:43 JEW!! JEW!!

  • i copied a few floppes so now i have to live in th stone age...obvz

  • Those kids were playing QWOP.

  • Oregon Trail... that was ages ago, only just recognised the hunting screen. wonder what it would've been like in their alternate piracy across the world universe, considering it crashed every 10-20 minutes with the CD version.

  • BLACK GUY OUT OF NO WHERE

  • thumbs up if Robotnik is Racist brought u here

  • 5:38

    ...we must go deeper

  • Since when did you have to mash two buttons to kill someone. D:

  • At about 1:10 to 1:11 , the guys fingers are positioned so that it looks like a man with no pants on

  • At first it's just silly 80s PSAs making fallacious slippery slope arguments, but then it's your community leaders, religious figures, politicians, and eventually everybody will think it's legitimate!

  • I tried to press okay it paused the video WTF! I want my science game.
