A master class in blues/rock, and so many people that would love this are not even aware of it's existance. A rare gem that's worth it's weight in diamonds.
I may be biased, but compared to some of the Live of the Fillmore "jams" this one keeps me interested. As much as I love the AB's this is jamming on another planet. "Whippin' Post?" (ZZZ), Mountain Jam? (great but has it's low points). This jam is just incredible!
Does anyone have a copy of a bootleg FM album called "Merely a Portmanteau"? I sold it decades ago and would like to get a copy of it. thank you very much! ;-) LtF
yes, he adopted his original style of playing from jewish traditional and religious songs. giving him that earthy rootsy feel? BB king felt he had that type of thing down.
I have the definitive version of Rattlesnakeshake for all die hard fans. Unfortunately it cant be uploaded. Just send us a msg and ill direct ya...it truly is mouth opening.
Imo your 100 %, The Boston Tea Party is simply one of the best liverecordings ever. I think the version on B T P vol 2 is better than the version on vol 1.
Bloody marvelous

There's nothing better than having Peter Green in your right ear, Danny Kirwan in your left ear, and Mick Fleetwood pounding inside your head.

at 3:50...which other band uses this riff in a live jam or something? it sounds really familiar but i cannot place it.
Breesey 2 years ago
Aerosmith covered this song, and actually plays it quite a bit at shows. It's fantastic to see live!
AriannaRaven 2 years ago 2
Combined with the drums, it sound like Allman Bros. Band Live at the Fillmore; any number of the jams on that album.
But since it's a blues jam in A, that narrows it down to about 10,000 songs since the late '60s!
