The following is my theory as to why we are grieved by the Joker's death, in spite of the fact that he was a sadistic, homicidal sociopath. As stated at the very end of this video, the Joker first appeared in the year 1940, and he has had a powerful presence in the entire Batman-franchise ever since then. So, even though he is, in fact, a villain, he has, in a very bizarre but nonetheless strong manner, almost become a part of Batman's family. And now, after all these many years, he is no more.
I feel sad for Joker. He has been getting old, though. I wonder who the next archenemy will be. Hopefully it will be either a more mature Riddler or a technologically advanced Scarecrow or...well you know: something a bit more BA than Joker.
eventhough i don't want to see Joker's death, but i can't deny that this ending is indeed the best part in the storyline. sometimes sadness is beautiful, and this sadness that makes the Arkham City ending feels deep and meaningful. i feel sorry for Joker, though i realized that if the story was going to "AS EXPECTED Joker can't be really die after all" then this ending with Batman carrying Joker's body would never happen and the Arkham City's story and credits part could not be this EPIC.

how do you beat this damn game. I am playing normal with all side missons done. (71% total game). 439 0f 440 riddles done, only one left is catwoman combo. what else do i have to do. trying to get batwing suit.
Im not sure if its a good idea to bring him back in the 3rd game as such, giving a chance for other characters to shine but maybe at the end of the game there could be a twist and that somehow the joker returns, if you give the game your full attention there are many ways he could be brought back. He could also be brought back through Harley's child if you remember or have seen what Joker did to Robin in BB:ROTJ

Yes The Joker has died numerous times before, but the Arkham city series does not consequent to the events that occurred in other games, films or tv series, this means that the joker may most likely won't return for a third Arkham game; The voice actor Mark Hamill himself does not want to voice the joker anymore according to himself.

The following is my theory as to why we are grieved by the Joker's death, in spite of the fact that he was a sadistic, homicidal sociopath. As stated at the very end of this video, the Joker first appeared in the year 1940, and he has had a powerful presence in the entire Batman-franchise ever since then. So, even though he is, in fact, a villain, he has, in a very bizarre but nonetheless strong manner, almost become a part of Batman's family. And now, after all these many years, he is no more.

I feel sad for Joker. He has been getting old, though. I wonder who the next archenemy will be. Hopefully it will be either a more mature Riddler or a technologically advanced Scarecrow or...well you know: something a bit more BA than Joker.

eventhough i don't want to see Joker's death, but i can't deny that this ending is indeed the best part in the storyline. sometimes sadness is beautiful, and this sadness that makes the Arkham City ending feels deep and meaningful. i feel sorry for Joker, though i realized that if the story was going to "AS EXPECTED Joker can't be really die after all" then this ending with Batman carrying Joker's body would never happen and the Arkham City's story and credits part could not be this EPIC.

I mean think about it the next game is probably going to be like gotham city or something where the criminals have taken over. I dunno...

Im not sure if its a good idea to bring him back in the 3rd game as such, giving a chance for other characters to shine but maybe at the end of the game there could be a twist and that somehow the joker returns, if you give the game your full attention there are many ways he could be brought back. He could also be brought back through Harley's child if you remember or have seen what Joker did to Robin in BB:ROTJ

Yes The Joker has died numerous times before, but the Arkham city series does not consequent to the events that occurred in other games, films or tv series, this means that the joker may most likely won't return for a third Arkham game; The voice actor Mark Hamill himself does not want to voice the joker anymore according to himself.

Truly my favourite villain. The ending to the game was brilliant, killing off a large character to some will seem lame but to others they will understand it's impact is greater than if batman came out carrying clayface or something. And in a weird sense, the joker seemed to be the only friend of batman, as only joker understood him
