  • RON PAUL 2012! JESSE VENTURA AS VP AND PETER SCHIFF AS SECRETARY OF TREASURY!

  • 16 people own shares in Goldman Sachs.

  • @baigandine LOLOLOL

  • Geithner is New World Order scum catering to Goldman Sachs and corporate America not the American people.....

    MilitantPatriot com

  • The U.S. Government has bailed out American citizens countless times.

  • I voted for Obama and as soon as he nominated Geitner I knew he wasn't about change , but just another puppet. apparently The President gets to pick his Sec. of Treasury, but his choices are presented by The Federal Reserve!!

  • Even if Obama is/was privy to all of the Fed's stupid decisions, do you really think that he has ANY power to stop these guys? Has any president since the Fed has been instituted REALLY have the power to stop these guys from doing their dirt?? Simple answer: not even remotely. I love seeing these guys getting raked over the coals, but at the end of the day, they don't answer to the U.S. Government, and Alan Greenspan stated that himself...

  • THIS IS WHAT I CALL......CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE . IS FAIR TO SAY TO PERSECUTE THIS PIGS TO THE FULL EXTENT TO THE LAW. AMEN.

  • @2:20-2:27 He is completely fucking stumped. He's thinking, "What can i possibly muster up to say to down play these..... FACTS?

  • Lynch for president! One of the FEW politicians who is honest, intelligent and dedicated to the American people above himself.

  • wow rep lynch straight up put the smack down on him lol

  • everyone reading a script?

  • Lol there is no difference between the two main parties. they are both the same. I am starting to call them republicrats.

  • TheAutiger13: Nice idea. I like Republibrats also.

  • Cenk is a phenomenal political analyst and he doesn't pull any punches. Great work.

  • What do you expect the FED DOES NOT BELONG TO THE GOVERNMENT!! It was taken over by the banks after 1913. If the FED is owned by the banks what makes you think they will not take care of their own instead of the tax payer. You wanna see the greatest robbery of all time? Take a look at the income tax!!!

  • INDICT TIMOTHY GEITHNER NOW!!!

  • paying attention to the ppl in govt, obama may have to be a one-termer:(

  • Politicians are politicians =_= this is why I don't shoot for a particular party. Whoever's right, that's who gets my vote, not that they care about me xD

  • Republicans and Democrats

    Different pile same smell....

  • lol i like that can i use it?

i want to ask permision before i steal it from you

  • Go on ahead, I stole from a guy in a bar somewhere in America.

  • @6stringdaveyM hell yes

  • Guy reminds me of Senator Tankerbell.

  • His name is Robert Pulsen--Fight club.

  • few congressmen are sufficiently intellectually equipped to have a casual conversation with geithner on the financial crisis. its a shame that people who can't even understand a legitimate justification of paying par value for AIG's toxic assets are ruling this country. furthermore, its the government's tactical failure that enabled AIG's counterparties to demand such terms. geithner is a scapegoat

  • Yep, pretty transparent bullshitting by Geithner. Just spitting out the two false extremes in his "answer" that weren't part of the congressmans question. A weak tactic I've seen many people try and use. I didn't know Geithner was this bad when he was first hired.

  • Put Peter Schiff in as Treasury Secretary and this crap won't happen.

  • great job... geithner should be gone, obama may be just like bush.

  • @febiyour he is like Bush there is no difference.

  • FIRE Geithner, Bernanke, and Summers!!!!

    WTF?!

  • More like they really should be brought up on charges of embezzlement, sedition and traitors. Them and the cartel they really represent, the Federal Reserve, have been stealing from us from the beginning to end. Blaming him is like blaming the soldier for the war. You gotta get some principles, oligarchs, some board members at the secret meeting that plan these national ripoffs. Geitner is just another front man for the real rottenness.

  • @treid100182 No execute them for Treason.

  • @treid100182 and put who in their place? Just another crook.

  • PWNED HIS white ass!

  • Fact: You don't understand the first thing about anything.

  • I think we have a Turk of the Week on our hands.

  • hell yeah!!!

    He regulated alright!!!!

  • Geithner needs to go, but the problem is that Obama wants to maintain an image of harmony and smoothness throughout the administration, and to refrain from getting tough. That is the only problem that I have with him, and I hope he'll get rid of it quickly, because people like Geithner give the republicans a lot of useful ammo, and Obama certainly doesn't need that right now. This systemic Democratic refusal to be ruthless and rough is the main reason why I haven't registered as a Democrat.

  • I don't really want them to be ruthless, I just want them to stick to their own agenda and not cave on every single issue. That would be a huge step forward ;)

  • @megamarsvin

Your argument seems to be similar to Republicans going way off into crazy land making absurd accusations, THEN when they make just insane arguments they are seen as reasonable.

It seems to be a relative sliding bar that both parties are using.

    :P

  • Let's test that theory...

    1. Get a hammer.

    2. Start banging yourself in the face with said hammer.

    3. Stop.

    4. Come to the realization that even though it feels REALLY good when you stop hitting yourself, no small amount of hammer-to-face is pleasant or at all sane.

  • lynch tim geithner and the world would be a better world

  • Your pretty slow YT, the fix has been in for a long time.

That has been clear for a long time.

  • Hope and Change! LMAO!!!!

  • Geithner = prison maybe?

  • When are we going to start Criminal prosecutions of Geithner, Paulson, Greenspan and first Audit the Federal Reserve and than cut this criminal private scam of borrowing our own money from the Federal Reserve. End the Federal Reserve Now. It is just stealing from America for the International banks. Hello?

  • Let's just audit the god*mn Fed !

  • hero, geithner sucks

  • Terrorists don't need to attack the USA anymore.

The terrorists can just sit back and let us destroy ourselves with greed.

  • Get used to it; it's only gonna get worse. Everything is up for sale now... big time.

  • WarriorOfWow.

The Bible clearly reveals it was the corrupt and evil politics of the Roman empire that delivered Jesus to the hypocritical Jewish religion whom crucified Him. Our Lord Jesus is outside of politics and outside of religion (Christianity included), and He is building His kingdom on earth today ironically unseen in Christianity. Those Republicans calls themselves Christians for their own sake and stomach, do not think it will not be judged when the Lord returns.

  • The bible is a old book full of shit. Please do not bring it up.

  • WarriorOfWow,

I think Republicans are capitalist that sees the results of their high defense spending back in their own pockets or votes from defense-related companies and supporters. What will the already rich Republicans who lusts for more money get in return if they returned that money back to the tax-payers through health care reform? The same can be said about Foreign Aid.

  • "I respect your opinion.. but I completely disagree"

If you possessed any intelligence whatsoever, Timmy, you would know that this is one of those times when you think things to yourself and keep your fucking mouth shut.

Geithner is another enemy of all Humanity who fucked everyone at the bidding of his masters. He needs to be left in the wild somewhere to fend for himself for the rest of his life, because he doesn't deserve the benefits that being a part of our society provides.

  • Self-righteousness is a sign of someone who does not fully understand the nature of life.

  • Tell me, purple, do you have Arminv blow jobs?

  • These guys are all crooks!

  • Bitch got served! Lol :D

  • The problem is a hundred times worse than what these wingnuts are arguing about.

Just wait...the best is yet to come in the next four years.

  • 90% of the republacrats are using this criminal sociopath Geithner as means of making themselves look good in light of HELPING HIM COMMIT THE CRIMES. lol

End the FED, end the wars.

  • "It stinks to high heaven"

A great way to describe it.

  • Who hates geithner? raise your hand!

  • It will be faster to ask who does not? loll

  • I'm not going to say Obama's the worse or best president yet it's too early to say that. Unlike some idiots on here I try to wait until the term is up to make that decision.

  • since when do puppets matter? everybody arguing and expressing there idiotic bias about obama and others - all the while nobody is focusing on the people who sign the checks of these puppets - THINK AMERICA THINK - please!!!!

  • The only puppets I see are the American People who's strings are being pulled by those dumbasses we elected

  • @slwfreez True, but the Internet is changing the dynamics somewhat. Now there is at least the semblance of a media. They may be opinionated but bloggers and whatnot do put out facts and draw attention to things that would otherwise be "clipped for time/space" in established media. These facts are always framed in their particular ideology but at least they report it (in my experience anyway).

  • "I respect your opinion" LOL

  • damn, that was a verbal teabaging.

he should have fiished with "yo geithner, tell me how my ass tastes".

  • PWNED

  • i wish one guy in the crowd had just gone

yeahhhhhhh bitchhhhh whatcha gonn' do now bitchhhhh

    at the end

  • @lordofalltheland If I was in Congress, I would interrupt, saying "If I may interrupt the chair for a second, I'd like to ask Mr. Geithner to stop burning like bacon on a grill. Thank you, foh shizzle."

  • sorry to say but if you're going to say somthing like that at that time you most likly won't get there

  • Mr. Lynch, you just got yourself a new fan.

  • WOW!!! how long has Stephen Lynch been working on this? That was just fantastic.

  • Geithner is not a Republican. He is a member of Obama administration. DO NOT FORGET ABOUT THIS 2012.

  • You mean like Hank Paulson who was the republican appointee who was also the one who started the whole bailout program to begin with. Its funny how some of you people all of a sudden started paying attention to what goes on in Washington just because Obama was elected.

  • @surferray69

So you don't want me to pay attention to what is going on in Washington just because Obama was elected?

Everything is going to be alright. Our big daddy Obama will take care of us. Don't u worry about politics. Just leave it to Obama. He is our savior. Do you want him to get angry by paying attention? Of course Not. Now go to sleep.

  • Obama may be your savior but he's not mine. But if your going to start playing silly games like saying Geithner is Obama's appointee, don't forget the small simple fact that Hank Paulson was Bushes appointee. And he started the bailouts.Geithner and Paulson both worked for Goldman Sachs,So if you don't see the connection then your either blind or stupid. Both parties are corrupt. And thats a fact.

  • You said it perfectly surferray69. The two-party system is a complete failure and these corrupt financial appointees go back many decades with both parties, more proof of how much power and influence that banks have over our government.

Third party folks, figure it out already!

  • he did rip Geithner!

  • Geithner looks like an elf.

  • TURKS HELLOOOOO!!! Anybody in there??!!!?? Cenk, your reality has to change! It makes perfect sense to me.

Obama and Geithner work for the same boss. Geithner is the dairy manager, and Obama is the store manager. But the owner is the one calling the shots, not the managers! Theyr'e just the ones you see!

I thought it would be a hundred years before I saw worse policy than Bush, but it took one day.

THIS IS the New America, based on a lie. Watch "WTC 7 compilation."

  • Love this show.

  • id like to get Geithner in a dark alley

  • Also, am I the ONLY fucking person who wasn't expecting Obama to be the savior of America? McCain/Palin would have thrown us farther into the shitter, but Obama would have the courtesy not to let us slide farther, and may be able to pull us up a bit. There's no way we can remain a powerful country without the support of the rest of the world, which is Obama's Specialty. We voted Obama in to prove that we aren't an ass-backwards nation that just elects cowboys and kills Arabs.

  • Well said sir!

  • No, you weren't the only one. The idolization of Barack Obama was extremely exaggerated by his detractors.

Most of us who voted for Obama saw him as the better man for the job, not some savior.

  • It is cute that you somehow connected Bushie's budget to Obama. Typical ignorant redneck. Stop staring at propaganda fake news networks and fear monger blogs please.

  • @YouSmellLikePOOO

Excuse me, but tell me why when Republicans spend billions of dollars on wars and guns, they're considered heroes, but when Democrats spend billions on Health Care and Foreign Aid, they're considered villains.

Am I wrong, or is there some serious Values Dissonance here?

(Fun Fact! Christianity seems to be about peace and love, but Republicans, who seem to favor war , are mostly Christians. No, I'm not going to go into religious debate, I'm just pointing out hypocrisy.)

  • @WarriorOfWoW

Religion is FULL of hypocrisy. I mean it's seeping with it.

I mean Jesus was about selling all your stuff and helping the poor wasn't he? Conservatives are narcissistic hypocrite assholes.

  • @refuckulate420

Jesus was neither "conservative" or "liberal", He did the Father's will of incarnation, human living, crucifixion, resurrection, becoming the life-giving Spirit to be breathed into our spirit, and ascension.

  • That one went way over your head I see.

  • lol, the guy's face at 1:15

  • It makes total sense. Obama told Geithner to pay off the bankers because Obama is not the guy we voted for. He's not the independent change agent we thought he was. He is the head Corporatist Democrat. It's not his advisers fault, the Senators, the Representatives, or the Republicans. Change isn't happening and the money is going to the banks because of Obama. He is screwing us over on purpose. Not by mistake or inexperience. He know what he's doing and who he's helping. Start blaming him!

  • Go Representative Lynch! Makes me kind of wish I still lived in his district.

  • YouSmellLikePOO = Delusioal RETARD

  • If you buy something from a salesman without asking if it works, you can't get pissed at him when you find out it doesn't work. CONGRESS NEEDS TO START READING WHAT THEY ARE PASSING. PAULSON'S PLAN WAS 3 PAGES LONG. 3 PAGES!

  • It's not Geithner's job to look out for the American People, it's the job of CONGRESS. This hearing is ridiculous. CONGRESS voted on a bailout - then they see that it doesn't work - so instead of taking the blame they look for scapegoats. SELF IMPORTANT IDIOTS. CENK- I'M SURPRISED YOUR BUYING THIS BS

  • Lynch and Geitner are TRULY Sarah Palin's DICKLESS and BALLESS BITCH and PUSSY! Palin is a SUPERIOR politician and statesman than these two ass-clowns could ever be. She is also MORE MAN than he is for they both wear the skirt in his family while their wives wear the pants!

  • ECW, your tag line is utter failure. What did you do ... spend 2 weeks deciding what phrase to plagiarize so that you could copy-paste it into every video you watch?

"You piece of repeating shit, I'm coming out of this boooootha"

See, that's how you use a quote ... with QUOTES.

  • geithner should be fucking outta here in a heart beat. If he is not, Obama is toast. He will loose the midterm. But much worse is that these assholes will take much of the country down along with them. What a shame american politics have become. We have a choice between the devil and the deep sea. FUCK !!

  • A citizens arrest sounds right :] I'm up for it. If anyone needs someone to bring them to justice and arrest them, hit me up in AZ.

  • I'd like to make a citizens arrest of at least Geithner, Paulson, and Bernanke if not more of these criminals.

  • Goldman Sachs getting 100 cents on the dollar only makes sense in that the execs at GS are Paulson's buddies and were his co-workers. So, of course, they are going to get whatever they want from Paulson and GW at taxpayer expense.

  • "I disagree"

    Good point, Guyturd.

  • Audit the Federal Reserve Bank then abbolish it. Like i said earlier on, research what i have said before you dismiss it...if you don't know the past then you will never understand the future.

  • research as in watch zeitgeist?

  • which parts of zeitgeist are fundamentally wrong?

  • Pretty much all of it.

  • then it'll be easy to give some specific examples of how it's fundamentally wrong. Go for it

  • ConspiracyScience have a pretty good multi-part article debunking most, if not all the misinformation in that film.

When it comes down to it, Zeitgeist mostly stands on evidence that has been circulated in conspiracy forums, and not necessarily come from any reliable source, either that or the evidence is fabricated.

  • the guy who wrote the article u speak of said this: "the movie implies this later by saying the Federal Reserve System creates worthless money, but if that was the case, I don't see why we haven't had massive market crashes and wide-spread instability as we did prior to the modern system."

lmfao. Did u actually read the article? I've actually copied all the shit i know to be wrong, and referenced rebuttals to your hero's assertions, but there's a character limit here so let me know if u want it

  • Sure, but I don't want none of this "your hero's" ad hominem bullshit with it. Keep it civil bro

  • where can i post this rebuttal? sorry, I got sassy because the author of the article got so many things wrong on the financial/money side of things (and therefore u have to scrutinise the entire article now) that it's downright clownish. Also it irritated me a little to not be addressed directly, but instead referred to some article written by some clown and have it spoken of as if it were not the opinion and misunderstandings of some small man.

  • pm me maybe

  • Why do you think it is that every where they go the story is always the same? because they do shit like this all the time and when people find out about it they become upset and attack them. They did this shit in Germany and Hitler rose to power. Research it before you label me anti semetic. People like Geithner, Bernanke, Greenspan, Summers, Ruebin, Paulson, etc...their all criminals. You think your politicians don't know this? In the words of Cenk, OF COURSEEEE! They're all in on it.

  • @UGOTDAJACK

I dont see dumping democracy as such a bad thing.

  • America was never intended to be a democracy. Democracy is a jewish concept brought in by Roosevelt. In reality America is a Republic but politicians know that with their democracy they can play these "bipartisan" games and pretend that they're fighting against each other. Republican / Democrat, it's all bullshit. When it comes to the major issues that the elite put them there for, they all agree. When it comes to issues where the everyday person is concerned they can't seem to get things done.

  • "Democracy is a jewish concept"

    Lost all credibility here.

  • MChav, you beat me to it.

  • youtube com watch?v=prvvKpuVp_I

Stephen Lynch saves the day.. Hallelujah!!! Amen brother!

  • jews mah boy, jews.

  • Where was all this outrage at the time of the meltdown? Oh that's right, these critics had their heads up their posteriors.

If these politicians want someone to blame, they should look in the mirror. Many of them are the same ones who pushed deregulation that helped lead to this mess.

  • Lynch 2012

  • Of course Obama knows and approves. He's not an idiot like Bush. He knows the score, and he knows who butters his bread - Golman Sachs. So Goldman Sachs owns the White House.

  • Welcome to the Corporate Oligarchy of the United States.

    COUSA! COUSA!

  • Their just doing their job: They ought to be so constituted as to protect the minority of the opulent against the majority.

The Senate, therefore, ought to be this body; and to answer these purposes, they ought

to have permanency and stability... (to abuse the tax payer on behalf of the rich.)

  • Comment removed

  • The Democrats talk a big game but when it comes to action they're useless.

  • toooooooo soft...

  • The truth hurts, doesn't it Geithner?

    TIMMAY!

  • Comment removed

  • TIMMAY! Awesome, Bcalling!

  • we still have waaaayy to much faith in Obama. Or rather, Cenk still does.

A ton of people in his administration worked for Goldman Sachs...the company that benifited most from the bailouts...

I think its obvious Geithner was in on it. and its certainly reasonable to think that Obama is complicit...

  • @YouSmellLikePOOO

Andrew Jackson was a worse president. As was Grant, and Coolidge.

Obama is hardly what the people expected, but he's not the worst we've ever had.

  • I don't know you think Obama is a messiah, but that's your opinion.

Never said Obama was a great president, if fact I think he's done a piss poor job, but he's hardly the worst president we've had.

  • ... That may be the very dumbest, most absurd statements out of every comment here.

  • @Livelife417 LMAO you idiot.

Anyone with intelligence knows that the Democrats lost this senate seat that they held for about 5 DECADES because of obama.

President Bush's annual deficits were less than $300 billion a year compared to obama's deficits that are about $1.5 TRILLION a year.

Thus, you can accurately and technically say that obama is 5 times worse than President Bush.

  • Bush's "low" deficits were due to Bush's keeping most of his spending off the official budget.

Then he pretended that tax cuts were what lowered the deficit. It was a lie.

  • @YouSmellLikePOOO

Bush is by FAR the worst POTUS in history.

If you don't see that, then you are blind.

  • Comment removed

  • Hell no. Reagan is, Bush is second to Reagan.

  • Republicans were in power leading up to the great depression. And here after 8 years of Republican rule our economy was on the precipice again with the dow jones around 6k.....By the way the stock market opened over 10 k today after 1 year of Obama.

  • @lmcdowall

    Seriously, get educated.

Democrats prolonged the Great Depression for over a decade with their socialistic politics.

The stock market rise does NOT mean the US economy is recovering. The prices are adjusting for the USD losing value!

Stocks on the US market are global companies. They are just investing in China, thus why China's economy is strong.

It also means obama is just giving money to large corps, not the people. Real unemployment rate is now at 22%.

    YOU'RE A FUCKING IDIOT

  • @YouSmellLikePOOO Lol, you are nut's!

  • FDR, a Democrat, ended the great depression using a combination of financial reform, and job creation through gov't spending, although he reduced gov't spending in other areas.

WW2 also created demand for production and jobs.

I don't believe any "conservative" from our time would have handled the task as well as FDR did.

  • @wtfdoihavetodohere

Again, you are a fucking idiot. Were you too stupid to get into a college or something? LOL

The New Deal lasted from 1933 to 1936, and it failed. Look at the unemployment numbers.

WW2 started in 1939, which is when the US economy started to become better. After WW2 the other developed countries were devastated, and the US was not attacked at home. US had a strong manufacturing base and a strong USD, making it world currency.

obama is devaluing the USD. Think about it

  • dude i read this comment and thought you were pretty smart... but i looked at your other comments and such. wtf is wrong with you man, stop being so partisan, your hatred for the other side of the isle is sickening

  • The Great Depression began in 1929, and was preceded by 8 years of laissez-faire Republican leadership. The economy began a slow recovery in 1933, the same year FDR (a democrat) was elected and put together the New Deal.

Elements of the New Deal persisted for decades, and some continue to this day. One of these, the Glass-Steagall Act was repealed in 1999, under Republican pressure. Many people speculate that repealing this act contributed heavily to the current financial crises.

  • Comment removed

  • @wtfdoihavetodohere: yes, that's a high-school version of the Great Depression.

There are three phases to the Great Depression (and there are many similarities to the crisis today in many respect):

    1) Benjamin Strong of the Fed created the easy-credit policy to support his buddies at Bank of England in mid 20's. (equiv to Greenspan's low-interest policy in early 2000)

    2) Hoover's meddling - protectionism (eg Smoot, Mexican Repatriation Act), public works (eg Hoover Dam), tax hike, price fixing

  • @wtfdoihavetodohere: (encouraging Ford & other industrialists to maintain workers high wage or even raise).

    3) FDR picked up and doubled Hoover's plan (doubling the Federal budget from $4B to $8B) and called it the "New Deal".

That's pretty much why the unemployment remained in high-10's / low-20's despite all that money spending. In addition, Hoover/FDR's policies weren't based on sound economics or understanding of the crisis - it was trial-and-error. Some succeeded, but most failed.

  • @wtfdoihavetodohere: Subsequently, all future attempts to emulate this misunderstood New Deal ended in tears (especially in the poor third nations between 50-80).

No, the Glass-Steagall Act, by the time it was repealed, was almost useless - in that most banks found ways to circumvent the law.

Ironically, Citibank, who heavily lobbied for the repeal during the Clinton era and the only beneficiary of the repeal, is the only bank to have failed. In another word, this crisis and the repeal really

  • @wtfdoihavetodohere : don't have much to do with each other. Likewise, most economists, or even politicians like Barney Frank (of all people), don't think the repeal had anything to do with the crisis.

  • @wtfdoihavetodohere: economic crises under no-intervention policy actually does much better. Take for instance the 1921 Depression.

The depression was caused by the war inflation (ww1) and had much deeper contraction (15%), but it lasted less than 1 year. Without any gov't intervention or propping up - all the bad assets (malinvestments) were liquidated and the country got back on its fee. The gov't was soon back in surpluses and the national debt reduced.

  • These bankers are destroying our economy the same way they did the economy of Iceland, they did it on purpose.

  • It's actually very troubling: so little people... care.

  • this is such a relief. everyone sees through geitner, with the possible exception of obama.

  • Lynch em Stevie!!

  • Members of the house in general can get away with a lot more on either side because there's more of them, so there isn't as much scrutiny on any one individual as there is on members of the Senate.

  • I have a solution STOP PAYING TAXES until this shit is sorted out.... were talking about Trillions here

  • BOUT TIME!!!!!!

  • haha geithners coward face is priceless
