I came to know of this song through watching "Rumi Returning" - a documentary on Mawlana Jalal ud Din Rumi. I searched for the complete song and my search lead me to "Niaz". Their beats are good and this song is my favourite.

guys i guess u need to do some wiki-researching, shes uses Persian Urdo Indian languages, bt poems r usually from the persian poetry Rumi, and shes originaly from Iran was born in USA i guess
This is beautiful music. Azam Ali has a beautiful, haunting voice. I don't understand the words at all, but I feel the sounds and emotion in the music. Please keep the comments about the music and off religious fanaticism so we can all enjoy. Peace.
So are Alevi's persecuted in the arab world? From what i understand Alevi is a derivative of Islam. But in Alevism believes in the equality of women, religious tolerance, and general secular humanism outlook on religion and life. Whereas in Islam there is definately no equality, and very little religious tolerance, even between sects of the same religion.
O Equality Islam says: "O People! Your God is one; your father is one; no preference of an Arab neither over non-Arab nor of a non-Arab over an Arab or red over black or black over red except for the most righteous. Verily the most honored of you is the most righteous."

I ABSOLUTELY ADORE this music! Thank you, all the beautiful souls of Niyaz! Love and Light to all! (The Sufi path is so beautiful, too, IMHO).

Regarding the sect:
The major difference in Islam between different sects is political and not on basics principals of Islam......

Translation Part II
Rejoice, for he who knows truth
Knows that bliss begets bliss
Today arrives as witness to the long journey behind it
So have mercy, for a looker must have traveled far in search of truth.
mzkhilari 2 years ago 5
Translation:
Rejoice for he who knows truth
Knows that bliss begets bliss
If you can drink of life's bitterness and laugh in the face of adversity
In your soul no bitterness will remain.
Arise, for the beloved has arrived
He who has stolen a thousand hearts,
In drunken ecstasy, he has come with drum in hand
To lift the veil and reveal to you his song.
