I totally agree and so does my family!!!!!! For years we've talked about it as I'm a quarter McDonald from a very strong line. I guess it's the old cry 'funding'. My dad worked for Scottish Television for 20 years and he is very passionate about the cause for a film like this to be made!
OMG every time we visit the Wallace monument my dad has a HUGE rant about that bloody statue that looks like Mel Gibson. They would turn the film into some jumped up American idea of what happened. I think everyone on here has an idealistic view of how it COULD be made... but in reality we all know that would never happen.
I think the BBC done a grate job separating the fact from the fiction the massacre of glencoe has always been stooped in mystery and the incident is well known throughout the world.
i think i'd like to see an Scottish non BBC version

Not a word in the Gaelic language, which was the defacto language between many of the characters in this documentary.
