@fritomonker Its a MICLIC. 1750 pounds of C4 on a string. Designed for clearing mines and other obstacles. The APOBS is a smaller version meant for anti-personnel obstacles. Its badass shit.

If you are division and attached to infantry you see alot. We were attached to a grunt unit. We go with the grunts everywhere and blow up anything that needs breaching or destroying (mostly landmines and UXO). But if you are FSSG, then you build bunkers and bridges and wont see much. I suggest you join a division unit and go with the grunts and the action. I was with these guys and got to witness that engineers do lead the way. -Sgt Jennings

Depends... FSSG (Service Support) sits on base building stuff. Division engineers go with the grunts. It all depends on which unit you are with. Especially when we start firing MICLIC's (see at 2:30 big explosion). They would tell us we had the best job in the military. Engineers and jets are the only ones who can make explosions like that. We make the biggest BOOM; so no, we are not the laughing stock

i was with USMC 1st ceb in desert storm. I always liked it when i heard another grunt talking about their unit going in first. We breached the minefields into Kuwait (everyone else followed our path) and took on small arms fire while in the process. 50 cal returned fire then cobra took them out with tow.
