In 1974, this song played in my head while I worked at Fort Bliss on the HAWK Missile Radar Systems. It has always reminded me of my ex-wife Kathy Starlene K.

We were a young couple with a toddler daughter. Finally, I bought a Fiat 850 Spider sports car (basically, a motorcycle for two skinny, young persons). I'd drive out to an old stage coach stop east of El Paso, Texas. I didn't take any precautions: no water, no food, nothing. If the car had broke down, we might have died out there!

What I see as the difference between much of today's music and the 'oldies' is that the oldies tried all kinds of beats, moods, whims and fancies. A lot of today's stuff sounds like formula music to me, neatly packaged with the face and the video.
