  • I'm just so happy that it was just a movie and her face isn't really smashed to pieces right now =D

  • @PucksRock omg me too <3

  • fap fap

  • Incredible woman. A artist, not just an actress.

  • @TheAPC91 I agree with you.

  • @andreeaa2012 of course she survived. One of them said it. But not alex is going to be a carrot in a bed for the rest of her life.

  • @andreeaa2012 crazy in a good way? If marcus wasnt being a douche at the party alex wouldnt of left. Pierre saved marcus. It isnt about alex being happy with pierre its about pierre getting the shit end of everything. I know she wouldnt of been happy with him. You retold me the love part of the film which had nothing to do with what i said

  • she was mad to agree to the rape scene

  • She looks like 10 years younger than she really is here.

  • Irreversible was the very first film, that I actually puked while watching. Not at the rape scene, but at this scene where this sick, trans 'prostitute' showed his/her penis. This movie is a picture of what our civilisation is fallin' into, voluntarily. I hated it and loved it all along. And personally I didn't feel like watching it again. Not because of realistic scenes of our deviated world, but because this movie just stays in your mind. You don't have to watch, you just remind.

  • the only reason kubrick movies are hard to watch is because i get bored.

  • She`s so smart she's speaks many language.

  • She's such a beautiful and elegant woman, that rape scene left me feeling completely horrified. I literally felt heartbroken for her :( Incredible acting.

  • saw the movie... twisted but in an inspiring way.

anyway she was a great actress and tres jolie!

  • ayyyyy!! she is by far, by far the most flawlessly drop dead gorgeous perfect woman alive...she not only has the looks of a goddess, but she can ACT, has talent, speaks 5 languages, and she looks this good at 45 years old. I LOVE YOUUUUU

  • I LOVE YOU MONICA MARRY MEEEEEE,-HOTTEST WOMAN ON THE PLANET

  • She is the most beautiful woman ever in Movies

  • only retards would actually argue about the damn rape scene if she took it in the ass then she did (which i say OUCH) if she took it in her vag then she did, if she never took at all then she never did who cares there are deeper meaning in this movie than did she take it! jeeze people

  • @jayejaye33 I agree. People need to stop saying OMG RAPE RAPE OR BRAIN MASHING. That's not the fucking point of the movie. Alex went through the 2nd to worst. Pierre was in love with her, and obviously still liked her more than marcus. He wanted her to be safe more than Marcus. He went with Marcus saves him but ends up going to jail because of marcus. The whole rape is Marcus's fault and he ruined pierre's life because of it.

  • (P3) look fake. I loved this movie . At first I did not really get it but then I could not take my eyes of it.Simple, real and complex! Perfect! P.S I think marcus loves alex more then pierre!!Do you think she survived?

  • @Ownage1067 (P1)No No No I can not and won't agree with you. Marcus loved alex a lot but was crazy( in a good way)Pierre was the nice guy(thats it) . alex would not of ever been happy with Pierre. marcus's love is what made her happy! she said it herself "he can be the sweetest guy ever and the not sooo sweetest!what I think the persone who wrote the script wanted to point out is that things happen no matter what! It is no ones fault for what happend to alex!

  • and you pussy lickers..id like to cum on her boobs

  • @bennyvega100 Fuck this, fuck that.. very articulate. You don't know me or my source, who happens to be someone involved in the making of the film itself. I really don't care what you believe.. I'll put it in terms you can understand.. eat shit and die. :D

  • She is so incredibly brilliant in the rape scene. It is so brutal and disturbing that it makes the rape scene in Clockwork Orange look almost innocuous.

  • She's so smart, beautiful and talented, kind of a complete woman

  • @Unmauricio , that's true ,, she's so smart.

  • @antoniox2040 I assume the erection you are referring to is the dick you see at the end of the scene.. that was actually computer generated. The rapist's dick wasn't originally visible. However, he did actually sodomize her. This info was leaked and is obvious if you really pay attention to the scene. The scene was supposed to be rough and she was in real pain. She decided that this was the best way to ensure a realistic scene. Anal sex is intense but that does not stop it from happening bud :)

  • @ptownsfinest1

You're fucking kidding me, right? Where the fuck did you hear that he actually sodomized her? From some anonymous troll on a forum?

A beautiful, talented REAL actress like Bellucci would not perform actual penetration in front of the camera.

Get your fucking head out of your ass.

  • @atg27111 Yeah, there was definitely pressure on her to deliver a very realistic scene.. that's why she allowed anal penetration.

  • @antoniox2040 She did allow anal penetration in the scene. She told her husband to go surfing on the Riviera that day so it would be easier for her to do the scene. I don't doubt it was pretty much a last minute decision to allow penetration. She had made a commitment to be as realistic as possible in this film and the rape scene is what the entire movie revolves around. Beautiful woman through and through. Obviously very commited to her work.

  • @ptownsfinest1 i don't know, i noticed the actor who played the role of the rapist did maintain an erection throughout the scene, which perhaps suggests penetration, but anal sex is a big deal. & the actor-rapist was pushing himself pretty forcefully against her, which would mean great pain for her if what you say is true. i have my doubts

  • she speaks so intelligently & poetic

  • This one is crazy. Very difficult to watch. This was like an 8 min long scene with no camera cuts, Anal rape, then beat her up bad. very difficult to watch.

  • @tjhype I agree. It was absolutely brutal. I was watching it with my brother and we had to turn it off. We just couldn't sit through it. He felt sick for the whole day and was as pale as a ghost. Several years later I watched it again and made myself sit through that shocking scene. I think as Monica says, it's difficult, but it's important. Having said that, now that I have watched it, I would never watch again. Ever. But, I thought the movie was brilliant.

  • Irreversible, along with Requiem For A Dream, were two films that made want to kill myself after watching them.

  • @lukebccb lol

  • @lukebccb seriously..there only films both films made me feel shocked but both have nothing to do with my life how can u relate to them enough to feel that depressed??

  • Thia "movie" is an absolute piece of shit and not even worth speaking about

  • it isnt for nothiung that she dated a european and none of those hollywood douchebags ;-)

  • i haven't seen this movie, but judging by her account of the infamous rape scene (e.g. she "gave everything to the director"), it sounds like the actor she did the scene with actually sexually penetrated her or something. anyone know anything about this?

  • @antoniox2040 no i don't think he penetrated her bcuz her husband played in the same movie as her boyfriend. its just the fact that the scene was like 5 or 6min long. keep in mind with no cuts so it was very disturbing to watch i was even like damn she let them talk her into doing this damn!

  • @atg27111 i really want to see this movie but am afraid that the rape scene will scare the sh*t out of me, since that's what happened when i saw the scene here on YT of when some guy gets his face smashed in w/ an extinguisher; so i was wondering whether the rape scene is disturbing b/c it's explicit: e.g. exposure of the actors' genitalia; or is it simply brutally violent & gory; or is it that the idea of a woman being violated is so disgusting in itself, all of the above?...thanks

  • @antoniox2040 its about as graphic as it can get without showing actual penetration. its sort of like a snuff film. its as close to real as a rape scene can get. its worse than that jody foster rape scene from the late 80's movie. its disturbing b/c its rape one and he beats the shit outta her and rapes her anally.

  • @atg27111 I never knew it was anal. And I forgot that he beat her up.

  • @antoniox2040 It is not explicit in terms of exposition of genitalia at all. Basically, the whole scene is of Monica Bellucci's face with the guy on top of her ( sodomising her). Her animalistic screams of anguish and pure pain are so so so so so confronting and real....And ofcourse, the fact that after subjecting her to that torture he procedes to beat her so brutally, adds to the extreme intensity. Be prepared. I had to try it a few times before I could watch the whole film.

  • @VVExtra thanks for your input. i saw the film & the most disturbing scene, in my view, is the one involving the beating w/ a fire extinguisher--a scene that is on YT, a click away here on the side pane! i think women generally find the rape scene most disturbing b/c they are more able to put themselves in the victim's shoes, a situation where a filthy, remorseless stranger is forcefully invading their most intimate space...i always feel like showering after watching this film lol

  • ive seen 1000's of movies and only 4 stuck in my head for awhile.

    1.nightmare on elm st

    2.the ring

    3.the grudge

    4.irreversible

  • @atg27111 lol at the 1st 3 in your list! ever seen trainspotting? now that's a jarring film.

  • @antoniox2040 no ive never seen it maybe ill check it out soon. but you have to put my first three in perspective. nightmare on elm st. had me at 7yrs old the other 2 remakes of japanese horror had me bcuz ive never seen anything like that and it was certain images and sounds they used that stayed in my cerebral for a while. i know theres better ones out there just for me at this moment these are the ones i came across.

  • The film was both very expressive and honest. It was very versatile in the sense of expressing violence, rage, revenge, rape, and the disorientation of it all when it's all combined. Hence the camera swirling over and over as it cuts through into other scenes. Although it was rather boring at times, it was honest, above all things. And honesty is very important in films.

  • The rape scene both enraged and disgusted me. As horrible as it was I have to give credit to the people involved for being able to provoke such intense emotion in me. Absolutely horrifying.

  • omg

  • One? Fuck that, there were TWO.

  • god, i want her, she is soo sexy, everything about her.

  • She's the matrix stunner. A real hottie with accent

  • hopefully this movie can make positive impact - rape is such a terrible cause of suffering in society, and this can get people to investigate and learn of strategies to reduce it.. And hopefully too many aren't seriously affected by this film with some harmful long-term disturbance...

  • It's one of the most heartbreaking and crushing movies I've ever seen.

  • Comprarle un vestido Dolce & Gabbana a la Bellucci lo podes hacer con VISA.....romperle el ojete a la Bellucci en el piso de un túnel peatonal como hizo "La Tenia" no tiene precio! ****** You can buy to Monica Bellucci a Dolce & Gabbana dress with VISA....fucks Monica Bellucci´s ass on the floor of a pedestrian tunnel like "Le Tenia" did, it´s priceless!

  • @hominidodigital not funny, not even smart for that matter..

  • @zuzubifbaf Well my friend, a joke is subjetive so funny or not funny it depends of sense of humor of the person who recieves the joke. And if you are looking for smartness and sharp comments this is the wrong place...this is YouTube my friend. Anyway best whishes...and give me some kisses SMACK MUA MUA SMACK! =D

  • @hominidodigital mmm.... your comment can be so smart and can be so Stupid... Yes, this is youtube, but, are you writing in youtube or is youtube writing for you? maybe you should think what would happen if the ass was of your mother.... =) it would be so funny, don't you?

Usa traductor? **** If my mother had Monica Belucci´s ass I would fuck her on the floor of a pedestrian tunnel long time ago!Your spanish writing is a bit confusing:"...tal vez usted debería que pasaría si..???" Do you speak spanish? Are you using an electronic translator?

  • @hominidodigital jajajajajja... eso sí fue muy gracioso... como le dicen: el rompeculos !!! y mìrele bien el culo a su madre... de pronto aguanta... *** It's so funny, people must call you "assbreaker" !!! you should see the ass of your mother... Maybe you could enjoy it...=)

  • @alioshenko ;) =)

  • I love her voice :) So deep.

  • i think shes quite ignorant. On the one hand she says that the film is hard to watch but important, at the end she says that shes shocked that many people like the film and are curious.

It is an intense movie, if you have problems with reality you should stay far away from it.

  • @Bertholdtoc I think, if I may, that the ignorant is you. She did NOT say that she was shocked that many people like the film and are curious AT ALL!

  • Her English is excellent.

  • omg!! that rape scene was difficult to watch i've watched the movie once in its entirety, the rest of the times i had to fast forward through some parts...but great movie, tragic story.

  • @williamsobieski hahahah thats exactly what i thought

  • This film freaked me out. I was dizzy, nauseous... But as the comment above says is the permanent after shock that is important... Is there a "nice" way to show something horrible? No, so it's good is shocking. Superb. I love Noe as a director. Period.

  • thumbs up if u wanna bang monica..

  • @sochillincali she's definately very beautiful, but probably her English is better than her Italian, it's pretty hard to listen to her speak in Italian movies, the way she speaks is somehow unbearable, believe me. Italians see her more like a model rather than an actress.

  • I believe a movie has to have a shocking scene , it keeps the people attent.

  • she really reallly realllllly should have gotten an oscar for this. a nomination at least

  • What a load of waffle

  • Comment removed

  • penelope who ?? DDD penelope cruz is only a bland pretty woman among so many others, monica bellucci is among the most beautiful if not the most beautiful

woman in da world , just a different category .....!

  • She is so beautiful.

  • did she just name drop Pasolini? I love this woman!

  • God I love her accent.

  • reminds me of penelope cruz.

  • @blackratpoo you jokin right ! monica cant even touch penelope the godess !!

  • @sonia26625 your on crack then!!!

  • Such a good movie! :)

Pasolini wrote and directed Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom.. she's right about it being difficult to watch as well :\ Also good though xD

  • wow

  • shes just far away to be the most beautiful woman even with all her surgery

  • she hadn't have any surgery, but yes, she is pretty good looking

  • @loonaya she had, you wanna see the photos

  • the rape scene and the fire extinguisher scene are horrific. The cinematography in both scenes is epic.

  • Monica is so classy, not to mention hot.

  • Her accent is so sexy.

  • this is why i love monica belluci because the perverted fucked up ignorant obnoxious dickhead of an interviewer couldnt help himself but bring up the subject of the rape scene just to get her to discuss it in detail so he could probably get himself off to it later that night but still she only includes a limited amount of detail and tells him about what the rape scene really represents rather than falling into his trap, good on her i say

  • wow man shes such a great actor, imagine playing this rape scene for like 10 minutes without having concrete terms of reference, you gotta be hella good!

  • it's hard to look at her...

i wish i could look like that :(

  • @Dorph89 I don't mean to intrude. She has her beauty, and you have yours. Envy can make your life suck, and you don't need the hassle. : )

  • The escene of violation is very dramatic and traumatic, the Monicas performance is real and perfect, but i think than this escenes was innecesary longest. I knew than she directed this controversial escene. Congratulations Monica you´re wonderfull.

  • You beautiful, talented woman...

  • Did the real Le Tenia get killed in the end for raping Alex? If not then there really is no revenge.

  • NO, he does not.

  • @wteo340

No. Under the influence of the dope and filled with vengence, Marcus (Vincent Cassel) mistook another for Le Tenia, and when the crowd turned on him, Pierre had to take an extreme step (out of his comfort zone.... or is it?) and come to his rescue.... with the fire extinguisher.

    There lies in the tragedy.

  • she always looks very cold on the red carpet, but she's sweet in interviews~~

  • I watched Enter the Void at the BFI Film Festival and met Gasper Noe himself. It was awesome, but I definitely prefer Irreversible in terms of narrative. But Enter the Void was visually amazing.

  • Comment removed

  • This was the only movie I can remember that I had to cover my face and it was not during the rape scene.

  • Some of you prefer to know what rape is through statistics, but when it comes to a realistic and shocking rape scene which leaves a permanent after shock, you dismiss a whole movie for being sexistic and having a one dimensional view on women. Strange.

  • @aruchri I don't think you understand. That wasn't the point of the scene - because there was none, except to shock - and possibly to stimulate misogynistic scumbags who derive pleasure from the degradation of women. I mean, it's literally designed to look like a scene from a gonzo porn film - the most misogynistic sub-genre of pornographic film.

  • @Scifimaster92 Actually I do understand. These things happen so why not show them. The genius of this scene is how it makes us feel. It's shocking, yes, but it happens. Most of us will probably feel it's repulsive, but is that not as much a feeling as happiness, joy, scaredness or nervousness? Maybe you would prefer to censor these type of scenes if you could? Then you would also be censoring the possible feelings the audience get out of it. Get my point? If not, then why see it?

  • @aruchri Okay, let me rephrase that. The scene is shocking, yes, but the point was not to say anything about the prevalance of rape in our society. Rather, it is shocking solely for the purpose of attracting viewers, particularly misogynists who consider this horrific violence to be sexy.

  • @aruchri Doesn't the guy *almost* get raped too?

  • @Enigma542 yes, the rapist's friend is planning to rape him, but gets 'prevented' by a fire extinguisher.

  • @aruchri Well said. I thought the guy being prevented (lol) was the rapist.

  • @3091181 no, that is the tragedy within the tragedy; the rapist gets away with it. He watches his friend get smashed to pieces by the fire extinguisher while he smiles, relieved that he is not the one being 'blamed' for the rape.

  • @aruchri Fucking christ I missed that. Horrible.

  • man, she could just be reading the TV guide, i wouldnt care, her accent and voice is super sexy....it drips of sensuality

  • I loveeee her italian accent.

  • i wish this interviewer woudl stop focusing on the rape scene so much(he did with his interview with gaspar aswell). i feel likle that's all the movie is known for but there is so much more too it than that. why not talk about the subway scene, or the party scene..also great performances by belucci

  • What else is there to discuss? No offense, but in my opinion, the only point of the film was to make a quick buck by exploiting lurid subject matter. I personally consider "Irreversible" to be on the same level as films like "Cannibal Holocaust" and "I Spit on Your Grave" (both of which feature graphic sexual violence for its own sake), only with higher production values.

  • I disagree.

  • Are you serious? What else sticks in the mind other than this outrageously shocking scene? It overshadows everything else. Yes, there was the tragedy of a person who lost his beloved, but all other scenes were so normal that they aren't remembered. I think she did a brilliant job performing the rape part, the horror, the desperation, and the cruelty of the scene are unparalleled in cinema. It really sheds light on the danger of rape and the vulnerability and complacency of bystanders as we saw.

  • for me she is the most beautiful woman all over the world...

  • Although I personally disagree with Bellucci's interpretations (if anything, I think that they're hypocritical and a poor justification for the film's content), I must admit that she's clearly a very well-educated and intelligent woman. On average, not many present-day Hollywood sex symbols share that distinction.

  • She is a beautiful woman but you fail to see the point. Why should rape not be a subject of articulation and film? It is one of the most common crimes in society and throughout history. It is one aspect of emotions and experience that is no difference than torture, murder, grief, etc... As long rape is shoved aside as a matter of statistics, people won't notice it as an issue regardless whether this scene aroused sexual feelings or not. Even the aroused would be somewhat disgusted afterward.

  • I see your point. However, I still consider "Irreversible" to be no more than a shock-exploitation film.

  • Hawasawayahawa,

I completelly agree with you. You spoke very beautifully about this film. It was just a sick way to make a buck, a very unintelligent and shocking film. It is very marginalizing to the women's image on the media, a very sick and awful movie. I got sick when I watched it, had no idea what I was getting myself into it and regret every penny I spent renting the damn thing! Movies like these should be banned from ever playing!

  • Definitely.

On a more humourous note, however, I once believed that "Malena" was banned in Canada. However, that theory was disproven when I found a copy at the West Edmonton Mall. Even more surprisingly, the film only carried a 14A rating!

  • you are stupid and cant understand this film....

    you should be banned

  • i am sooo excited for Enter The Void

  • This is one of the most intelligent movies ever. The innovative way it has very few cuts is awesome. If you onlylook at the first 30 minutes obviously your gonna think itsnothing but shockvalue.

  • @EducatedHorse12

You're so right. I agree. It's both a gift and a curse on this film. The gift is that the controversy around some of the scenes garnered lots of attention to the film. The curse is that those same scenes because so infamous that it distracted people from the fact that this was an excellent film. As a result it may never get the recognition that it should.

  • @slumlumm if movies, like literature, music and books are meant to evoke feelings, thoughts, emotions for the audience, then Gaspar Noé suceeds brilliantly. Why is it that you won't accept the sick feeling you got as something as real as other feelings you get when you see other types of movies. Aren't you censoring what you want to feel instead of letting yourself understand the movie as one that is able to make its audience have other types of reactions than the predictable ones?

  • bellissima senza dubbio, attrice..lasciamo perdere

  • i need to know who said that irreversible was the "most beautiful and religious film ever done" like bellucci said

  • bellisimaaaaaa

  • Her husband Vincent Cassel said her greatest asset is not her beauty but her intelligence. I thought that was sweet and you can see here that she is very intelligent.

  • best actress ever...

  • she gets raped in that movie i saw it that scene was like 8 minutes long it was nasty

  • I do consider her one of the most beautiful women in the world. Monica Bellucini FTW!

  • Oops, sorry, her name should be spelt " Bellucci'

  • She is so adoreable.. Great actress too

  • She's pretty well educated on films and filmmakers.

  • @studiokanzen of course she's italian :D

  • Well... she's an actress. Aren't doctors well educated on medicine?

  • She handles difficult subject matter gracefully in this interview, as she handled very difficult material in the film. I can't believe the disrespect in some of these comments. tsRodrigues thinks she is incapable of making an intelligent choice of partner, and they can do better in chosing someone for her. (notice thumbs downs, I am not alone). w800ovi, OF COURSE THERE ISN'T! She is an actress, not a porn star. Penis you see was added by computer. He didn't have an erection. Show some respect.

  • I think no this.

What you are talk about using my name?

  • No, they are acting! Plus I don't think her real life husband (Vincent Cassel) who plays the role of her husband in the movie would have appreciated that...

  • favorite film of all time.

  • no, it's just acting.

  • yeah, double too

  • No poet can ever catch a presence of beauty such as her.

  • Her accent is sexy

  • Ridiculously gorgeous woman. Her sketchy looking husband is one lucky man!

  • she's breathtakingly beautiful .

  • omg...I gasped before the video passed the 0:02 mark, just too amazing

  • shes amazing so smart and sublime wow just stunning.

  • There are deep psychological layers in this movie, and all the events are interrelated. It's indeed a powerful work with commendable acts.

  • yes, she is absolutely one of the most beautiful woman, she is stunning....no words.... how beautiful!!!

  • Monica to me is the most gorgeous woman in the world a stunning combination of beauty, class, intelligence and quality acting ability, which is a breath of fresh air compared with the deluge of American "actresses" who look good yet almost the same as each other and can't really act to same standards of their european counterparts, Bellucci, Tatou and Cotillard etc. For me Irreversible was the best film of 2002 too.

  • yes, she's very diferent than american actresses, she has something special, an special energy like personal magnetism. When she appears on the screen there isn't casting, there isn't guide, there is only Monica.

  • because she is italian :) mediterranean women is different from another countries women..

    you know italy in mediterranean.;)

  • yeah, mediterranian sensuality is unique.

but there is more in this woman...I don't know exactaly what but she has.

  • because i'm not from italy but i'm from medit
