From what I saw Greiss looked good this year, give him a shot, then bring up Stalock when he's ready. Sign a veteran goaltender just in case. Marleau needs to go too, sure he can score goals, but he's soft, looked lik he didn't want to get hit in the playoffs.

Nabokov is a very good goaltender and should be given more credit, the defensive line gives him no help at all. also they need to get a forward who can really push the team offensively. They need a real scorer like Ovechkin or someone.

nope once again u choked. When a guy like Patrick Marleau who has no heart is supposed to be yor captain and No Show Joe Thornton is yor best player, u will never win the cup. They both need to go and start over again, especially Marleau, who is by far worse than Joe when u r supposed to play with some heart. At least Joe, tried to motivate that soft team by getting into a fight with Getzlaf but that was too little, too late.
I think Marleau has to be traded to shake up the culture in that lockeroom. It just seems to me that the Sharks players feel "safe". No small moves will help the Sharks and im trying to realistic, because I dont think Joe can be moved. If Marleau doesnt get traded, then another major move is to rip the "C" of him. yeah how come its everyone wants to trade marleau??? marleau is more valuable than you think, he does powerplayes, penalty kills, what cant he do hes fast, he scores lots of goals, and we need craig rivet, :P but we need to figure out why our D is doing this, im hopiung they just need to click because the sharks wont go to the playoffs playing like this on D thats what happens , you make big moves, but we still need key D, maybe not lets see how they play against the islanders today GO SHARKS!!!

Evgeni scores a goal, lol, priceless. This whole deal with Heatly has got me tense, he's a good player but a real prima donna and the sharks need some leadership this season. I know one thing for sure, the ducks aren't coming into San Jose and leaving with a win, I can't think of a single other team I'd like to see SJ beat.

they'll make it to the playoffs like usual, but from there they have a better chance of winning the conference at the very least. Not only do they have better players out there this year, they have more experience with loss and are prepared with both young and older talent. Plus, with marleau out of the captainship, Blake will do a fine job leading the sharks to a stanley cup run. Go sharks!

yea i saw last years and this years playoff apperences..that has to be hard..they won the presidents trophy..they deff. deserved to go further then they did. don't be worrying too much.. your team is only 18 years old. you got time man. ive been a flyer fan since i was in dipers and they still haven't won a cup since 75..22 years before my exsistance.. i want the cup in philly so badly. but san jose has a better chance of getting it first. so good luck to SJ for next season. should be good!!

I really hope the Sharks can get the Cup and break this curse of not meant to happen. I wish you guys didn't pick up Ray Emery he really is a poor sport. But sometimes I like a dirty player on my team to grind it up. I hope I can see Emery fight! The Flyers should easily make the playoffs with Emery and Pronger additions. I don't know about a Stanley Cup championship in 2010 but they do have a good chance and also probably a big playoff

Yeah it sucks but 18 years isn't that long of a time in the NHL, especially being that we are in a league with 29 other teams. The one thing that really sucks is that the ducks got one first.

Well the sharks are lucky that they have been around that long..its because they make tons of money. teams like pheonix that have been in the league for a shorter time than san jose that still don't make as much money should just fold..they don't deserve to have a team..and the NHL should have way less teams..like drop about 6 teams and it will be good...i'd say drop phx, Atl, TB, FL, nashville, and columbus..as it is, atl might fold after this season

Well San Jose is blessed by being a wealthier part of the country as well. As for Tampa I actually hear it's a pretty nice place to watch a game. I know a New Yorker who moved to Florida and said it was a nice arena.

The Sharks are just chokers who have had good teams and nearly had the NHL record for improvement in the 1990's from season to season (the old record belonged to the Islanders and still does to this day.) I think the Sharks are a pretty well respected organization, they will get their chance.

yeah, probably because they have been one of the more successful teams in the Bay for a while now, and they are located in silicon valley which means lots of people who can afford season tickets etc.

yea ive seen game play from these guys. they look like an entertaining team. and the crowd gets into it and its a really awesome attmosphere..this is all coming from a philly flyers fan lol. i love the flyers. they sell out all the time, they have an amazing atmosphere, and they are one of the most entertaining teams around. good luck to the sharks because they are definitely capable of winning the stanley cup

Nabokov is a very good goaltender and should be given more credit, the defensive line gives him no help at all. also they need to get a forward who can really push the team offensively. They need a real scorer like Ovechkin or someone.

how are fans now not real hockey fans? sharks fans are one of the most loyal fans in the league. based off of this its hard to take you seriously. Every team has bandwagon fans, thats nothing new. Randy Hahn is a great announcer, he may make stupid jokes sometimes but hes still good, jonathan cheechoo will be back into his regular sniper form once hes in full health, you know how many games he missed because of injury, he played through a lot too. nope once again u choked. When a guy like Patrick Marleau who has no heart is supposed to be yor captain and No Show Joe Thornton is yor best player, u will never win the cup. They both need to go and start over again, especially Marleau, who is by far worse than Joe when u r supposed to play with some heart. At least Joe, tried to motivate that soft team by getting into a fight with Getzlaf but that was too little, too late.

I think Marleau has to be traded to shake up the culture in that lockeroom. It just seems to me that the Sharks players feel "safe". No small moves will help the Sharks and im trying to realistic, because I dont think Joe can be moved. If Marleau doesnt get traded, then another major move is to rip the "C" of him. He is NOT a worthy captain at all.
Major changes r needed and Marleau HAS TO GO!!!

yeah and Dan Boyle has won a Cup before with Tampa, he knows how to win and how to play when it counts. Unlike many of his teamates, Boyle played with some passion and was San Joses best player in the series.

I think that the sharks need a strong forward who can get to the front of the net along with some talent.
Maybe someone like Ryan Smyth or Corey Perry...
A bit more depth on the blue line to help Dan Boyle...
Maybe someone like Kimo Timonen...
Bottom line is Marleau should stay.

umm Cheechoo if they put him in the 1st line or atleast 2nd. hes not doing any good with Goc and i dont know the LW Moen i think. so yeah Put Chechoo back in 1st or 2nd hes been playing defensively i saw that in the playoffs, he scored that goal so why not give him a chance.
