This man is so intelligent and well-spoken. I wish people like this could have power in the world instead of the fucking greedy morons that run the world...It would be a nicer place for everybody.
@Mmalice217 No mate, he is not, you could not hold a conversation like this if you were tripping, he probably had a nice joint beforehand, but thats all.
@tonytg909 You absolutely can hold such a coherent conversation while tripping, I certainly have, and I'm sure Terrence McKenna would be able to...I'm not saying he is in this video but its possible.
VOTE RON PAUL.. I love Love Terrence Mckenna.. I so wish he was here experiencing this time with us! In such appreciation of all his messages and revealing of his experiences. If you ask me, I think he channels his higher self every time he speaks.. I never ever disagree with his intuitive logic. He doesn't judge but he does share what he's concluded and believe over time. I get very emotional because I know the power of the plants and we can alllll wake up with them. Much love Terence. Thank u
What a guy!!! I accidentally ran into one of his lectures and I got so amazed with clarity of his thoughts. I admire the way he articulates his ideas without compromising neutrality. We need more teachers like that.
sums it all up really.. I think the only answer for us all is to explore, create and educate... ignore the naysayers but be the art and walk the part. Terence RIP the overmind is on hur way..
Terence was a great man and a great humanist. I dedicated my book to him. Check out Mirror Reveral on Amazoln. I am looking for minds of similar worldview to communicate.
@aristopus Terence was a one-off human being, he was honest enough to even admit he didn't know answers to the toughess questions, but imo out of all the people i've ever listen to, he seemed to be closer to the mark about the nature of our reality.
I'm really sad he never saw the future which he talked about so much, but the way it's unfolded, maybe he left at the right time, because i'm sure his motto today 'I told you so',
@aristopus I have been listening to terence mckenna 4 hours a day for a couple of years now.. Recently I took psilocybin and I can see that he is not a prophet , he survived the mini apocalypse like I have, I see that all of us like minded people on internet MUST COME TOGETHER MAKE COMMUNITY we must make the steps to eradicate this empty delusional plateau of 3 dimensional grids and spectator mindset. IM ALL in brother!! We need some kind of social network for this or a website UNITE
@hunterhalo2 he is a great speaker. i love listening to all of Terrence's interviews and speaches. . in a wierd way he reminds me of the Mr Rogers for adults or learning teens. maybe its his voice or maybe its the way he trys to get to the listeners level. either way he was amazing. .
@BurntCatMedia Any substance can be "dangerous" if used under the wrong pretext. If we use a drug just to get high and escape than, yeah we're heading down a dangerous path. If used correctly by properly educated people than any substance has the potential to uplift us. So I am with Terence on this one.
tyvm military bureaucrat fools for the internet and begining the slow decline of your fascist empire, not with violence but with rational thought and information hahaha the engineers of your own descruction LAWL
@stalkingcat123 You could be right, and i don't think it's that slow either, you remember the saying 'Spreads like wildfire'?, the internet is quicker than wildfire.
@tonytg909 Exactly why SOPA, PIPA, and ACTA came out of nowhere around the same time Obama signed the NDAA Bill overnight for the new year 2012 celebration. This action woke up folks who care about their rights and turned most to the Champion of the Constitution, Ron Paul! :P
Please.. i am so stuck with life.. and if you are to then that mean we are one because that is what its mean to be stuck.. so let us do this together.. let not look for acceptance but accept people for who they are.. try not to judge.. then just like that you are accepted without trying.. and if you like this thumbs up for others to see.. and i don't want you to subscribe but if you just have a look at my others videos i have stumble across like this one + my music section worth a look too =)
@jeigo What's the difference between cigarettes and sugar? Or alcohol and sugar? Or pain pills and sugar? The point is that the hypocrisy surrounding drugs is ridiculous.
What we should do is slowly work towards legalization, or a sudden change of human government is needed. I doubt even Lincoln freed the slaves suddenly without careful planning and instigation.
What he is saying is 100% true and correct. But I don't think human civilization as a whole is ready to move towards the step of legalizing illegal drugs. (This may seem childish) This reminds me of a certain spongebob episode where he went down to Atlantis, where these people had knowledge of all things (including weapons), and vast resources of things that they had considered rare. But none of these things mattered to them because of their superior intellect and moral status....
@Mad0racle I really feel that any plant or herb that grows naturally in nature, without being tampered with my chemists or dealers should never have been made illegal in the first place. What should be done is educate the public about all the pro's and con's, then let adults make up their own mind, and keep them away from children.
I have always found it fascinating that psychadelics have been proven to be HARMLESS to the human body and in the right state of mine beneficial in so many ways.
An unintelligent approach to altering your perceptions is going to lead to a bad outcome. The problem with society and substances, is that society is generally immature and inexperienced.
Observe coffee for instance. Society has generally learned to use coffee in a way that is beneficial. But it absolutely is a substance that alters perception. Cannabis, although it is illegal, is just now reaching a similar acceptance and understanding.
Wow the last bit of that interview was pure truth. The government highly bans all mind opening drugs, why? To keep people "in their place", not question their superiors, and smile. Too bad I'm awake government and I say fuck you and all your lies. I'm a free man and I do as I please on this earth. No one can free your mind but yourself.
thier never was a war on drugs, its a War on Liberty, a war on your sovereignty, these substances like Marijuana can actually be used to heal you, to awaken you, thierfore elites ,make it illegal not just for profit, but so the slaves on the plantation wont wake up
@ruffeeh To throw negativity my way is a most common gesture. As it was for Terrence Mckenna. I take any negativity you throw at me and give positive energy back. You can never offend me. I will always forgive you. Remember no-one is smarter than YOU are. You are god. I am God. We are all god. Get with the program. We are all one thing. Don't throw off the system. Peacelove.
@robertwestchester What i've learnt from most negative comments and insults on utube is nothing!!...people who point their finger at others, never seem to realize their is always two fingers pointing back... but try tell this to them, thankless task. nice comment btw robert.
I don't see how anyone can build any argument against drugs whatsoever. You may as well argue against consumption of certain foods or against playing certain sports. It is utterly ridiculous! Legalise drugs. Educate people properly in schools on them from an early age. Let them decide. I think a lot less people would suffer. I cannot see how this would not be better for any society. People take drugs. Why not try to to understand them :/ Terence will be missed.
@freejazzandcheese1 At the end of the day, it's just down to business, the people who control the drugs trade i.e (governments, mafia), will lose big money once legalized.
@tonytg909 Oh yeah I understand this completely. Drugs may just make someone question more or open ones mind too much. I made sure to experiment with everything I thought necessary to experiment with. I respected drugs and didn't take the ones I didn't feel would help. LSD, mushrooms and DMT have certainly helped me as a musician and in the way I view certain aspects of life. It's a shame I can't get away with saying something like that in public because not many people understand it.
I know what this man speaks of. I experienced psychedelics many a' time. I will never regret my experiences and may even want to experience them again.
I must say this though. One is best without an altered state of mind. What substances do is completely artificial. Is there something that can be gained from them? Yes. Is it necessary? No. One can see things in a different way without substances. What they allow you to see is not a true product of yourself anyway. It really is not you.
I did DMT for my first time the other month. By far the best trip I've ever had. And unlike other psychedelics, I can still recall my entire trip with great clarity.
@Ink2pixel i understand that. But the brain does try to protect us from what we have experienced. And as you know DMT is the same chemical that makes us dream. And dont you sometimes find it hard to remember your dreams...? Of course it differs from person to person, and i am no expert...
@DennisOlsenMusic i find i can remember the dream after i wake up but the more time that goes by the less and less i can make sense of it or even remember it.
@WilliamMorgan32 Really? What is first image that comes to you on the thought "My DMT trip I did for my first time the other month"? :) Do share, please! :) You can PM me... :D
this is got to be the most well spoken thought out right on the money very intelligent thing i have heard in a very long long time and you cant believe how right he is on these matters way cool
I find it impossible to believe that people can dislike this video and feel the need to even debate it!!! How can anyone disagree in anyway with what he is saying? Unbelievable!!!
@batuba1 Because not even McKenna would want people to take his word as it was from god. Debateing itself is a way to find new ways of thinking, and if you except one's word without critical look to it, you are as ignorant as someone who takes word of Bible as it is written. Everyone should form their own opinion, by listening lot of other opinions, and then share it with the world so that someone can use it in forming their own opinion. Nobody wants mindles zombies (not saying you were)
actually lsd based trials are coming up again treating depression and achieve acceptance of death with very sick people ... cluster headache treatment as well (but with a non-psychodelic form)... but never the less lsd goes so deep in consciousness and brain chemistry that it can end fatally alter thought patterns and change people into something the weren't before and yes in bad ways too ... i don't like the one-sided thinking of both pro & anti drug people.. it can be medicine but also poison
Very interesting...didn't this guy die of a massive brain tumor in his early 50's...I'm sure his drug use had nothing to do with it..O_o.. When he speaks, I can't help but think of that metaphorically speaking, weasley serpent convincing Adam and Eve to take a bite of the forbidden fruit...you know, so they could be like god...in this case instead of fruit, it's psychedelics. Mind altering substances from any source is not the answer for anything..don't expect a addict to figure that out. :/
@InsideOUT37 Please don't link the psychedelics with the reason he died, this is not the case, otherwise check out Albert Hoffman, didn't he live over a 100 and used psychedelics all his life?.
Sounds like you do not take psychedelics and probably never will, each to there own, and you are not addicted to anything?.
@tony..well, apparently he, Mr Mckenna said his 35+ yrs of cannabis use could of been a contributing factor...he's a smart guy right? I think ANY prolong use of any chemical(s) that cause your brain to work twice as hard could potentially, at the very bottom least cause some sort of PHYSICAL damage to the brain and serious damage to the MIND. People who smoke can live fairly long at times..don't tell that to the hundreds of thousands who are sick/Died of smoking related illness...as for me...
@InsideOUT37 yeah true , but its always some kind of blame factor , you never know people get cancer while leaving perfect and healthy lifestyle without any drug use. Moderation is key.. equallibrium will always be healthy
@Lookagainz ..I agree..but there could be a lot of variables in there...smog, second hand smoke for smoking related illness..stress is a big unregarded killer...where you work, geographical location, genetically modified food will be a huge factor going forward. There are numerous variables but adding drugs to any of those and the odds of you getting sick begin to skyrocket. Healthy living and trying to balance it all is what it is all about..it's why being AWAKE is so important. :)
@tony..I'm addicted to everything..but at my discretion. I am a firm believer in choice and that while we cannot control everything that happens to us, we most definitely can choose our reactions. If you convince yourself that mind altering drugs is the answer, then until you change that thought process or replace it with something else, you will never be able to over come any drug or habit for that matter. Eating too much, sex, drugs, work..you name it...yes/ no or maybe are all CHOICES.
@InsideOUT37 We will all die of something of other, whether self inflicted or not, like you say it's down to choice, can i ask you, have you ever tried psychedelics?. And like Mckenna says i would rather go to my grave knowing that there were substances in nature which give you a totally new outlook of life, than going to your grave knowing there was a itch to scratch but never being able to find where to scratch it.
@tony..not a good attitude Tony...I hear that from smokers all the time UNTIL they are diagnosed with something and then want to sue the tobacco companies..O_o..as for me, I experimented with " mild " drugs like most...I wish I didn't..It's a constant calling. EVERYTHING " SEEMS " better under the influence but it's all an illusion..when you sober up, you realize that. Your itch philosophy is the addiction talking..it can be quite convincing can't it. The snake on the tree of knowledge. :)
@InsideOUT37 You haven't ever tried psychedelics have you?, and i was only stating a fact that we do all die, but do we all really live?.
And when you say any drugs will give you a nice illusion, can you specify the difference between illusion and reality?.
And please don't jump to conclusions about my addiction, you do not know the way i live and what i take, the only thing i do which i'm not too happy about is smoke tobacco.
I'm living in Hong Kong atm, and have no access to nothing.
@tony...for a guy who " claims " to be clean, you sure talk like your stoned...0_o...aren't you the guy posting the video? " but do we all really live "..." specify difference between Illusion and reality "..lol..once you are under the influence, everything you see and do will be filtered through those drugs and the effect it's having on your perception..IT'S NOT REAL...stay away from it tony...drugs are not the answer for anything.
@tony...the only thing I see Mr Mckenna ever talking about is his obsession with drugs and how there some sort of conspiracy to prevent people from exploring their own minds..0_o..He says psychedelics are responsible for conciousness..lol..cavemen/ primates of one sort or another were following bison ( his theory) and in the dung were these mushrooms that ancients thought would make a nice snack and BAM..algebra and Mona Lisa..sorry tony, don't buy it. He eugenics theories are also NWO. :/
@InsideOUT37 But he wouldn't force eugenics, he just said the population would down if women simply have one child instead of 3-5 or whatever the number is. Single child per female = lower population without war/killing/mass killing etc
@vx3k..who is going to decide who should be allowed to have babies and how many? The same people that are fighting right now over things like oil and nukes?..O_o.. Population control is a very slippery slope and many so called geniuses think that creating a race of super humans ( trans-humanism ) is the way forward and the human species should be terminated. Don't worry about lowering births..they plan on replacing humans altogether..with genetically enhanced super-humans. :/
@InsideOUT37 When you say "they plan", who are they btw?.
I do agree it's a no-go area when it comes to birth control, you have a child with your first partner then seperate, and then you meet someone else who you would like another child with, this is a difficult one.
They force 3rd world countries about birth control, but just one child born in the west has more negative impact on the environment than 900 babies born in India. Cut down on free handouts, then it would cut down on unwanted kids.
@tony.." They " are the chosen ones..by their own choosing of course..o_0.." They " are the people that control all the wealth. The people behind the private federal reserve..the same people behind the Euro..the same people who have decided to create this false debt crisis we are being subjected to right now as the middle class is targeted for destruction. I hear what you are saying about one here Vs one there but you have to understand..the future is about engineered humans & immortality. :/
@InsideOUT37 I actually agree what Terence says in another video, nobody is in control, and you are only coming from a western point of view, in the east they don't even worry about who is controlling who, and rich elite bankers etc, they just get on with their lives.
But i do agree about the 'Golden Rule', he who has all the gold, makes the rules.
Watch the Money Masters, this is a great documentary regarding the Federal Reserve and the history of the money printers/lenders.
@tony..lol..somebody is steering this ship and they are heading for a massive storm. The United States and it's great constitution was an attempt to wrestle control from these people and it did...for a time. These same people have the ability to wipe out this planet many times over in many ways and I believe they are preparing to do just that. They want a do over...Rich...poor and never the two will meet again. A slave race to do their biding and the elites that sit in their ivory towers. :/
@InsideOUT37 Many countries have had the capability since the 60's to wipe out all life on this planet, and it hasn't happened yet, and since then the population is up by a few more billion people, what gives you the idea that they would want to?. When you say rich and poor, if you mean material wealth, this is a very shallow view regarding wealth, people who are fully conscious are the rich people on this planet, not the ones with a large bank accounts, some things money can't buy.
@tony..very few have the capabilities I'm talking about. Weapons that only lock in on certain groups or populations. It has nothing to do with nuclear bombs or any kind of bombs that would hurt the environment in any way. Did you ever wonder why there is such a strong push for vaccinations of any kind..right now it's the dreaded flu paranoia season..better get your shot..O_o..they have a vaccination for everything. Ever hear of HAARP? Just the tip of the iceberg..it's better you do not know. :)
@InsideOUT37 I knew about Haarp years ago, and yes no doubt they do have weapons that we can only but imagine. And no i've never had a Flu jab in my life, and never will, there is not much i don't know about conspiracy theories,.The biggest conspiracy is, the reason certain substances are made illegal, like lsd, dmt, mescaline etc, because they wake people up. Interesting fact R. Gordon Wasson was the first westerner to introduce psychedelic mushrooms, and he was on board of the FED?.
@tony...sorry Tony..here's were we part company. Drugs are not the answer for anything. I think if people would just ask more questions and do a little research, then the answers would come to them. People don't want to get involved in the world around them...it's a conscious CHOICE on their part and has nothing to do with drugs of any kind. There is an awakening happening right now..hopefully, it's not to late. :)
@tony..actually Tony..they are the SAME..the humble carpenter from Galilee could offer guidance in that area but nobody wants to listen to him. He rode in on a donkey instead of a chariot of fire and offered peaceful wisdom like turn the other cheek and forgiveness so he wasn't mean or cool enough for many. Why have ONE God when you can have many..more is better right? To each their own. :/
@tony...9,636 views and 138 stoners bothered to click like...I think that speaks for itself. It's sad to see guys like you Tony in denial...the answers you are looking for are with in you, not out there in some chemical/substance/pill.
@Shocktimus..<-----nice handle..O_o..This is probably asking too much of a drug addict but if you expect a reply dip shit, maybe you should explain what it is you are talking about first..just a suggestion shockjock. =/
@InsideOUT37 I'm not addicted to a thing, don't drink, quit smoking over a year a go, eat right, and work out 6 days a week. You can try and dismiss me as just another druggy fuck-up, and that's fine. You obviously feel threatened by knowledge beyond your experience or you wouldn't lash out like such a robotic little fascist. You take every bullshit thing you've ever been told by this nanny-state government that strives to "protect us from ourselves" as gospel,I think you need DMT more than most
@Shocktimus..sounds like you are upset :). " druggy fuck-up "..TonyG will be offended..lol..Maybe a dumb fuck like yourself should learn to shut up if you can't handle the truth. I know the drug addicts have short term memories but I'll be happy to point it out..YOU started this post..remember shit for brains..O_o..so either say something relevant, explain what you were saying to begin with OR go back to the delusional rock you were hiding under..even a bozo like you should understand that. :o
@Shocktimus I wouldn't waste your breathe on @InsideOUT37, he post on many Mckenna videos, and he really hasn't got a clue what he is talking about, just another person who's mind is made up and doesn't want to be confused with facts, and when anyone speaks about their own personal truth about their experiences he calls them drugs addicts. I would rather be the biggest addict on the planet than a narrowminded little asswipe like him.
@tonytg909..lol..now, now Tony..I understand your pain after the undressing you received the last time but that's no reason to be so angry. " I would rather be the biggest addict on the planet than a narrowminded little asswipe "..well Tony, today is your lucky day..you get to be BOTH...well done. :)
@tonytg909 Indeed, don't feed the trolls. Just ignore them, give them a thumb down and move on. Sooner they get bored the sooner they find another place to try and feel "important" :)
This is one of his lectures that is not abstract/difficult to understand unless you've been there... but a very rational and accurate representation of the situation at hand as it is applicable within the culture we live in...
"Serfdom is the status of peasants under feudalism, specifically relating to Manorialism. It was a condition of bondage or modified slavery which developed primarily during the High Middle Ages in Europe and lasted to the mid-19th century."
"The word "serf" originated from the Middle French "serf", and can be traced further back to the Latin servus, meaning "slave""

@sqweezel Did you understand the statement what Mckenna said "My mind is made up, don't confuse me with facts".
It's very easy to call people stupid, and you're right i am very stupid, but willing to learn, so if you have a vast amount of personal experience and knowledge in this field, can you share with us please?.
And no you don't need to take drugs to be a genius, it's sounds like you are already there.
@sqweezel I love how ignorant you are, First off this is your major problem you think or assume that All drugs are the same so they all act on the same parts of the brain and they all have the same withdrawal symptoms and they all are addictive, This is very wrong. If you knew anything about psychedelic drugs and the classic psychedelic drugs you would know they are Nootropics(they improve cognitive function) things like heroin or amphetamine are addictive unlike psychedelic drugs.
@cheats59 I agree, i have an addictive nature, i'm an all or nothing person that's just me, but after taking some lovely cubensis i was amazed just how much i actually didn't want to keep trying and repeating the experience, i would say mushrooms are anti-addictive if anything.
@tonytg909 oh of coarse you should look up Ibogaine or LSD alcoholism. LSD was used in the 50's to help cure alcholism with a 50 percent rate better then AA that is only 10 percent. Ibogaine is chemically related to DMT and psilocybin(the active in mushrooms) and has a rate of 80% to cure addictions from opiates to stimulants. even ayahuasca that is orally active DMT(DMT with a MAOI) cures addiction.
@cheats59 I have no idea what sqweezel's stance on the subject is, but let's keep in mind that he did not actually proffer any of those assumptions to be taken. If we don't know what his assumptions are, it seems worthless to create some potential ones just so we can attempt to knock them down.
@cheats59 psycadelics arents neutropics you dumb fuck. they decrease cognitive function obviously, if u take a strong psycadelic your not gunna be clear minded and alert which is the effect of neutropics. dont speak on things u have no idea about because it provides false information and can confuse alot of people.
@gubablo Can you please present any evidence that psychedelics decrease cognitive function?. And when you say you are not going to be clear and alert, what part of the mind are you referring to?.
My very first experience with psychedelics was the opposite to what you are saying, i actually said to my friend at the time, I've never felt so clear, as if my mind was like a clear piece of glass or crystal, and my eye sight became very accurate, this is a fact because i did experience it.
@tonytg909 go look up Alpha Brain, that is a mixture of a bunch of neutropics for example. a psycadelic is not a neutropic. and i dont need evidence, if u have done a strong psycadelic your not gunna be able to lets say, right an essay or do shit that requires alot of attention because your gunna be tripping your balls off. Neutropics= makes you very clear minded. Psycadelics= mind opening experience that diconnects you from reality
@gubablo I agree in part with what you say, but how important is writing an essay really or operating a piece of machinery, maybe a better description would be to say, for hundreds of years the western mind as been fixated on external stimulus, and for millions or years the human mind as been concentrated on internal stimulus through the use of psychedelics, both are valid realities, not just external stimulus, this is where many people are biased, based on westerns ideals.
@tonytg909 Psychedelics are arguably an external stimulus. For thousand of years, it is very understandable how a culture might see psilocybin as a divine mushroom. There was not knowledge of brain chemistry and science. NOW, we have science. We know exactly why psychedelics do what they do. A key example of true internal stimuli would be meditation. I have experienced myself and I do not advocate. Why do we need an outside, altering source to see things differently my friend? We do not.
@TheRagingFoxhound Because you take external stimuluses every day of your life. Live is about taking stuff in and letting stuff out. external stimulus is part of life. If it weren't, there would be no chance of you starving to death because of lack of intake of food. But you do need external thing like food to live.
@jettyke Eh. I just do not buy it. We need food to survive. We do not need substances. I experimented with that kinda stuff. In the end, it was not nearly as beneficial as thought alone.
@cheats59 well said sir. and remember; when you talk about drug withdrawal, alcohol is the most dangerous withdrawal you can endure. It's fatal. Heroin withdrawal isn't fatal.
@morengolospeaks23 lol i'm an idiot? I've had DT's and seizures from alcohol withdrawal and know of people who've died from it. On heroin withdrawal you just feel extremely intense craving along with nausea and muscle spasms but you can't die from it. Alcohol withdrawal is fucking scary if you've been through it which you clearly have not.
@Alucard255 because like agggges ago on this vid some guy started saying "using plants fucks with your head and ruins your body like you can get withdrawals from them, alcohol is waayy safer" and so i said alcohol is worse in terms of withdrawal and then some other guy said heoin was worse. thats alll mate
Ohh. Okay. Yeah, alcohol and heroine are not even worth mentioning to me. Terrible stuff. Stick to the naturally occurring stuff. Weed, mushrooms and DMT.
@sqweezel- There are a lot of tools who use psychedelics.
There are others who who use psychedelics as tools. You'll find they're often more discreet about their use, but often they are cutting edge innovators in music, art, and technology. The recent passing of Steve Jobs resonates.
Sometimes ordinary people use them simply to be more self-aware.
Also note there are shamanic masters who have been healing with them for centuries.
@sqweezel Calling someone stupid for something you obvesouly know nothing about, says more about your ego than anything. Drugs are so generalized now days it crazy. They can classify marijuana with herion and people will believe that. People like you need to get off your lazy ass, and research shit before you argu about them. Terrence Mckenna is a very intelligent man, and i believe what he says, from experience on doing LSD, DMT Marijuana. Never gotten addicted and hasnt ruined my life.
@sqweezel Just about everyone takes drugs of some kind. It's just that most people limit themselves to alcohol nicotine, caffeine, etc. There are drugs, and then there are drugs. Give DXM, LSD, DMT, or MDA a whirl, and maybe you will become a genius. It's up to you, how you do it, and what you make of it.
@old9skool9love It is a big shame how and when he died, but look on the positive side Terence gave more of himself to humanity in his short life, than many people do even if they could live forever.
This man is so intelligent and well-spoken. I wish people like this could have power in the world instead of the fucking greedy morons that run the world...It would be a nicer place for everybody.

@BurntCatMedia Any substance can be "dangerous" if used under the wrong pretext. If we use a drug just to get high and escape than, yeah we're heading down a dangerous path. If used correctly by properly educated people than any substance has the potential to uplift us. So I am with Terence on this one.

What we should do is slowly work towards legalization, or a sudden change of human government is needed. I doubt even Lincoln freed the slaves suddenly without careful planning and instigation.
Mad0racle 1 month ago
What he is saying is 100% true and correct. But I don't think human civilization as a whole is ready to move towards the step of legalizing illegal drugs. (This may seem childish) This reminds me of a certain spongebob episode where he went down to Atlantis, where these people had knowledge of all things (including weapons), and vast resources of things that they had considered rare. But none of these things mattered to them because of their superior intellect and moral status....
Mad0racle 1 month ago
@Mad0racle I really feel that any plant or herb that grows naturally in nature, without being tampered with my chemists or dealers should never have been made illegal in the first place. What should be done is educate the public about all the pro's and con's, then let adults make up their own mind, and keep them away from children.

I have always found it fascinating that psychadelics have been proven to be HARMLESS to the human body and in the right state of mine beneficial in so many ways.
Insanetoaster 1 month ago
An unintelligent approach to altering your perceptions is going to lead to a bad outcome. The problem with society and substances, is that society is generally immature and inexperienced.
Observe coffee for instance. Society has generally learned to use coffee in a way that is beneficial. But it absolutely is a substance that alters perception. Cannabis, although it is illegal, is just now reaching a similar acceptance and understanding.
Prohibiting learning leads to substance misuse.

Why not try to to understand them :/ Terence will be missed.
freejazzandcheese1 1 month ago 3
@freejazzandcheese1 At the end of the day, it's just down to business, the people who control the drugs trade i.e (governments, mafia), will lose big money once legalized.
tonytg909 1 month ago

I know.

Debateing itself is a way to find new ways of thinking, and if you except one's word without critical look to it, you are as ignorant as someone who takes word of Bible as it is written. :/
InsideOUT37 3 months ago
@InsideOUT37 Please don't link the psychedelics with the reason he died, this is not the case, otherwise check out Albert Hoffman, didn't he live over a 100 and used psychedelics all his life?.
Sounds like you do not take psychedelics and probably never will, each to there own, and you are not addicted to anything?.
tonytg909 3 months ago
@tony..well, apparently he, Mr Mckenna said his 35+ yrs of cannabis use could of been a contributing factor...he's a smart guy right? I think ANY prolong use of any chemical(s) that cause your brain to work twice as hard could potentially, at the very bottom least cause some sort of PHYSICAL damage to the brain and serious damage to the MIND. People who smoke can live fairly long at times..don't tell that to the hundreds of thousands who are sick/Died of smoking related illness...as for me...
InsideOUT37 3 months ago
@InsideOUT37 yeah true , but its always some kind of blame factor , you never know people get cancer while leaving perfect and healthy lifestyle without any drug use. Moderation is key.. equallibrium will always be healthy
Lookagainz 3 months ago
@Lookagainz ..I agree..but there could be a lot of variables in there...smog, second hand smoke for smoking related illness..stress is a big unregarded killer...where you work, geographical location, genetically modified food will be a huge factor going forward. There are numerous variables but adding drugs to any of those and the odds of you getting sick begin to skyrocket. Healthy living and trying to balance it all is what it is all about..it's why being AWAKE is so important. :)
InsideOUT37 3 months ago
@tony..I'm addicted to everything..but at my discretion. I am a firm believer in choice and that while we cannot control everything that happens to us, we most definitely can choose our reactions. If you convince yourself that mind altering drugs is the answer, then until you change that thought process or replace it with something else, you will never be able to over come any drug or habit for that matter. Eating too much, sex, drugs, work..you name it...yes/ no or maybe are all CHOICES.
InsideOUT37 3 months ago
@InsideOUT37 We will all die of something of other, whether self inflicted or not, like you say it's down to choice, can i ask you, have you ever tried psychedelics?. And like Mckenna says i would rather go to my grave knowing that there were substances in nature which give you a totally new outlook of life, than going to your grave knowing there was a itch to scratch but never being able to find where to scratch it.
tonytg909 3 months ago
@tony..not a good attitude Tony...I hear that from smokers all the time UNTIL they are diagnosed with something and then want to sue the tobacco companies..O_o..as for me, I experimented with " mild " drugs like most...I wish I didn't..It's a constant calling. EVERYTHING " SEEMS " better under the influence but it's all an illusion..when you sober up, you realize that. Your itch philosophy is the addiction talking..it can be quite convincing can't it. The snake on the tree of knowledge. :)
InsideOUT37 3 months ago
@InsideOUT37 You haven't ever tried psychedelics have you?, and i was only stating a fact that we do all die, but do we all really live?.
And when you say any drugs will give you a nice illusion, can you specify the difference between illusion and reality?.
And please don't jump to conclusions about my addiction, you do not know the way i live and what i take, the only thing i do which i'm not too happy about is smoke tobacco.
I'm living in Hong Kong atm, and have no access to nothing.
tonytg909 3 months ago
@tony...for a guy who " claims " to be clean, you sure talk like your stoned...0_o...aren't you the guy posting the video? " but do we all really live "..." specify difference between Illusion and reality "..lol..once you are under the influence, everything you see and do will be filtered through those drugs and the effect it's having on your perception..IT'S NOT REAL...stay away from it tony...drugs are not the answer for anything.
InsideOUT37 3 months ago
@InsideOUT37 So now you need to be stoned to post a Mckenna video, what planet do you actually live on, you sound like a policeman.
You are just trolling and looking for an argument which you will not get from me, i agree with everything you say.
To make your argument a little bit more valid, you should say 'drugs are not the answer for anything for me, in my opinion'.
And whether drugs give people a fake perception, delusion, illusion, while you are there, it's very real at the time.
tonytg909 3 months ago
@tony...the only thing I see Mr Mckenna ever talking about is his obsession with drugs and how there some sort of conspiracy to prevent people from exploring their own minds..0_o..He says psychedelics are responsible for conciousness..lol..cavemen/ primates of one sort or another were following bison ( his theory) and in the dung were these mushrooms that ancients thought would make a nice snack and BAM..algebra and Mona Lisa..sorry tony, don't buy it. He eugenics theories are also NWO. :/
InsideOUT37 3 months ago
@InsideOUT37 But he wouldn't force eugenics, he just said the population would down if women simply have one child instead of 3-5 or whatever the number is. Single child per female = lower population without war/killing/mass killing etc
vx3k 3 months ago
@vx3k..who is going to decide who should be allowed to have babies and how many? The same people that are fighting right now over things like oil and nukes?..O_o.. Population control is a very slippery slope and many so called geniuses think that creating a race of super humans ( trans-humanism ) is the way forward and the human species should be terminated. Don't worry about lowering births..they plan on replacing humans altogether..with genetically enhanced super-humans. :/
InsideOUT37 3 months ago
@InsideOUT37 When you say "they plan", who are they btw?.
I do agree it's a no-go area when it comes to birth control, you have a child with your first partner then seperate, and then you meet someone else who you would like another child with, this is a difficult one.
They force 3rd world countries about birth control, but just one child born in the west has more negative impact on the environment than 900 babies born in India. Cut down on free handouts, then it would cut down on unwanted kids.
tonytg909 3 months ago
@tony.." They " are the chosen ones..by their own choosing of course..o_0.." They " are the people that control all the wealth. I hear what you are saying about one here Vs one there but you have to understand..the future is about engineered humans & immortality. :/
InsideOUT37 3 months ago
@InsideOUT37 I actually agree what Terence says in another video, nobody is in control, and you are only coming from a western point of view, in the east they don't even worry about who is controlling who, and rich elite bankers etc, they just get on with their lives.
But i do agree about the 'Golden Rule', he who has all the gold, makes the rules.
Watch the Money Masters, this is a great documentary regarding the Federal Reserve and the history of the money printers/lenders.
tonytg909 3 months ago
@tony..lol..somebody is steering this ship and they are heading for a massive storm. The United States and it's great constitution was an attempt to wrestle control from these people and it did...for a time. These same people have the ability to wipe out this planet many times over in many ways and I believe they are preparing to do just that. They want a do over...Rich...poor and never the two will meet again. A slave race to do their biding and the elites that sit in their ivory towers. :/
InsideOUT37 3 months ago
@InsideOUT37 Many countries have had the capability since the 60's to wipe out all life on this planet, and it hasn't happened yet, and since then the population is up by a few more billion people, what gives you the idea that they would want to?. When you say rich and poor, if you mean material wealth, this is a very shallow view regarding wealth, people who are fully conscious are the rich people on this planet, not the ones with a large bank accounts, some things money can't buy.
tonytg909 3 months ago
@tony..very few have the capabilities I'm talking about. Weapons that only lock in on certain groups or populations. It has nothing to do with nuclear bombs or any kind of bombs that would hurt the environment in any way. Did you ever wonder why there is such a strong push for vaccinations of any kind..right now it's the dreaded flu paranoia season..better get your shot..O_o..they have a vaccination for everything. Ever hear of HAARP? Just the tip of the iceberg..it's better you do not know. :)
InsideOUT37 3 months ago
@InsideOUT37 I knew about Haarp years ago, and yes no doubt they do have weapons that we can only but imagine. And no i've never had a Flu jab in my life, and never will, there is not much i don't know about conspiracy theories,.The biggest conspiracy is, the reason certain substances are made illegal, like lsd, dmt, mescaline etc, because they wake people up. Interesting fact R. Gordon Wasson was the first westerner to introduce psychedelic mushrooms, and he was on board of the FED?.
tonytg909 3 months ago
@tony...sorry Tony..here's were we part company. Drugs are not the answer for anything. I think if people would just ask more questions and do a little research, then the answers would come to them. People don't want to get involved in the world around them...it's a conscious CHOICE on their part and has nothing to do with drugs of any kind. There is an awakening happening right now..hopefully, it's not to late. :)

"Serfdom is the status of peasants under feudalism, specifically relating to Manorialism. It was a condition of bondage or modified slavery which developed primarily during the High Middle Ages in Europe and lasted to the mid-19th century."
"The word "serf" originated from the Middle French "serf", and can be traced further back to the Latin servus, meaning "slave""
not too far from slavery though.

@sqweezel I love how ignorant you are, First off this is your major problem you think or assume that All drugs are the same so they all act on the same parts of the brain and they all have the same withdrawal symptoms and they all are addictive, This is very wrong. If you knew anything about psychedelic drugs and the classic psychedelic drugs you would know they are Nootropics(they improve cognitive function) things like heroin or amphetamine are addictive unlike psychedelic drugs.
cheats59 4 months ago 13
@cheats59 I agree, i have an addictive nature, i'm an all or nothing person that's just me, but after taking some lovely cubensis i was amazed just how much i actually didn't want to keep trying and repeating the experience, i would say mushrooms are anti-addictive if anything.
tonytg909 4 months ago 4

@cheats59 psycadelics arents neutropics you dumb fuck. they decrease cognitive function obviously, if u take a strong psycadelic your not gunna be clear minded and alert which is the effect of neutropics. dont speak on things u have no idea about because it provides false information and can confuse alot of people.
gubablo 2 months ago
@gubablo Can you please present any evidence that psychedelics decrease cognitive function?. And when you say you are not going to be clear and alert, what part of the mind are you referring to?.
My very first experience with psychedelics was the opposite to what you are saying, i actually said to my friend at the time, I've never felt so clear, as if my mind was like a clear piece of glass or crystal, and my eye sight became very accurate, this is a fact because i did experience it.
tonytg909 2 months ago
@tonytg909 go look up Alpha Brain, that is a mixture of a bunch of neutropics for example. a psycadelic is not a neutropic. and i dont need evidence, if u have done a strong psycadelic your not gunna be able to lets say, right an essay or do shit that requires alot of attention because your gunna be tripping your balls off. Neutropics= makes you very clear minded. Psycadelics= mind opening experience that diconnects you from reality
gubablo 2 months ago
@gubablo I agree in part with what you say, but how important is writing an essay really or operating a piece of machinery, maybe a better description would be to say, for hundreds of years the western mind as been fixated on external stimulus, and for millions or years the human mind as been concentrated on internal stimulus through the use of psychedelics, both are valid realities, not just external stimulus, this is where many people are biased, based on westerns ideals.
tonytg909 2 months ago
@tonytg909 Psychedelics are arguably an external stimulus. For thousand of years, it is very understandable how a culture might see psilocybin as a divine mushroom. There was not knowledge of brain chemistry and science. NOW, we have science. We know exactly why psychedelics do what they do. A key example of true internal stimuli would be meditation. I have experienced myself and I do not advocate. Why do we need an outside, altering source to see things differently my friend? We do not.
TheRagingFoxhound 2 months ago
@TheRagingFoxhound Because you take external stimuluses every day of your life. Live is about taking stuff in and letting stuff out. external stimulus is part of life. If it weren't, there would be no chance of you starving to death because of lack of intake of food. But you do need external thing like food to live.
jettyke 1 month ago
@jettyke Eh. I just do not buy it. We need food to survive. We do not need substances. I experimented with that kinda stuff. In the end, it was not nearly as beneficial as thought alone.

@cheats59 well said sir. and remember; when you talk about drug withdrawal, alcohol is the most dangerous withdrawal you can endure. It's fatal. Heroin withdrawal isn't fatal.

@stoxocube18 lol you're an idiot
morengolospeaks23 1 month ago
@morengolospeaks23 lol i'm an idiot? I've had DT's and seizures from alcohol withdrawal and know of people who've died from it. On heroin withdrawal you just feel extremely intense craving along with nausea and muscle spasms but you can't die from it. Alcohol withdrawal is fucking scary if you've been through it which you clearly have not.
stoxocube18 1 month ago
@stoxocube18
Why are you talking about alcohol and heroine? Wtf?
Alucard255 1 month ago
@Alucard255 because like agggges ago on this vid some guy started saying "using plants fucks with your head and ruins your body like you can get withdrawals from them, alcohol is waayy safer" and so i said alcohol is worse in terms of withdrawal and then some other guy said heoin was worse. thats alll mate
stoxocube18 1 month ago
@stoxocube18
Ohh.

ProWoWRunner 3 months ago
@sqweezel Open your mind or don't talk because human society doesn't need people like you to slow down our progress.
bboschboi 3 months ago
@sqweezel Just about everyone takes drugs of some kind. It's just that most people limit themselves to alcohol nicotine, caffeine, etc. There are drugs, and then there are drugs. Give DXM, LSD, DMT, or MDA a whirl, and maybe you will become a genius. It's up to you, how you do it, and what you make of it.

he's got one hell of a point though! How can your government tell you what to do with your own mind and body?

Mckenna was ever such an intelligent man, I hate it how he died so soon :(
old9skool9love 6 months ago 2
@old9skool9love It is a big shame how and when he died, but look on the positive side Terence gave more of himself to humanity in his short life, than many people do even if they could live forever.

@tonytg909 That doesn't make sense.
npplscorpion 4 months ago
@npplscorpion I'm sorry if that statement does not make sense to you, for me and many others it does.
Maybe if i put it in the words of Carl Jung, "A million zero's do not equal one"
tonytg909 4 months ago
@tonytg909 No, it's because you used the word forever, it's rather tentative because it means infinitely large.
