@iceblood16 Ok, in Finland we learned from the getgo to crawl with our weapon ready to shoot, also got "punished" (back to start) if sand got into the weapon like it does for the recruit there. I'm sure no finished marine would crawl like that :)

British commandos are based within the greater defense structure. RMC does not have its own air system but it does have access to the navys air system.
US marines have a much larger defense structure than british marines.

I never felt such a need to protect women unless it's worthwhile. I don't think men should have these "instincts", simply because they're not 100% valid in every way. I think it should be a matter of "protect for their sake", not "protect because they are a woman and I am a man". Understand?

@GuardinAngelSarah The REAL problem though is the way the military trains... it's very sexist. They teach men to "protect women" in that sense, but they teach women to "protect men and women" the same.
So it's a matter of what they are tought to believe and/or told... no scientific evidence can prove anything about men having an "innate need" to protect women.
Even if science can, everyone is different. If a male's sister is hurt, he will protect her. That's his SISTER, not just a "girl".

@spe315effect Recon is a specialized group within US Marine Corps Infantry where Navy Seals is under Special operations and command which are special forces in the Navy... the special forces in the Marines are MARSOC -- Marine special operations and command... Recon is just specialized infantry.

I went to boot i had a blast got medical discharge got home found i had Hashimotos disease (auto immune that target thyroid gland) got thyroid removed unable to join.. couple yrs later (now) peice of thyroid stayed and regrew.. im going back asap gotta drop the weight but i wont leave till i graduate or die.

@diurdi this is just bootcamp, not MCT-marine combat training or SOI-school of infantry, that is where you learn how to fight, bootcamp is to become more comfortable with the weapon and learn its ins and outs, later on everything is refined more and more, you are judging a unfinished product.

The crucible is not in the same league as the training that British marines undertake.
A US marine would struggle with The Tarzan Assault Course as it is one of the toughest training courses in the world.
USMC is one of the best infantry groups in the world.

British commandos are based within the greater defense structure. RMC does not have its own air system but it does have access to the navys air system.
US marines have a much larger defense structure than british marines.
