How to play Breakdown on Ukulele by Jack Johnson

Excuse me, its DOWNdown-UPup- DOWNup so I accent the first strum of each little bit of the pattern

I based my version of the song off this, I've only been playing a week but I kno this song by heart now, I just play C, Em, Dm, and G over and over at diff patterns pretty much, I strum it like DOWN-downUP-UPdown (capital letters are accents) so yea, that's how I play, and I only play each chord once in the first part of the bridge and pick it up and play normal for the second part, a little diff than he teaches but it still sounds cool lol, just try it out (not advertising, just suggesting)

you missed the pattern at 2:07. the chords are changed, yes.

and you missed the high outro picking. its 12 on e with 10 on a and then both 2 frets down.

Hey bro, a suggestion would be a strumming pattern for you. if you know what a chunk is, then it will fit here. the strumming pattern i learned was: c down up chunk up down: you play each chord every way for this pattern: before you strum for each chord you pluck the c string, then play the chord. I would like to see you make a video response trying this new strumming pattern.

Oh and the part at 5:30 (around there) the strumming pattern is c down up chunk up down, c down, c down.

though jack is known for his "chunk" or palm mute I dont believe he uses one in breakdown. Also this is my pattern that i came up with on my own from listening to the song. There are many strum patterns to songs and they all can be correct. i used this pattern because it was easy and I had lots of people asking me for the pattern. Strumming should come from the ear of the musician. I really appreciate your feedback. Thanks for watching
