IJevin, Nether portals, i think i know what you were trying to show us at the end. I have noticed before that looking through nether portals you can't see water at all, i've noticed it since 1.7 actually.

@qp68095 supposedly ender pearls are suppose to help reduce the range in which endermen get hostile, but don't take my word for it cause this is jsut something i have heard and haven't tried.

Ghast tears, the new pigman drops (Not rotten flesh) ,Blaze rods do nothing at the moment... They are like Ender pearls in that respect

Blaze Rods make those blaze mobs to cool down if you hold it and right click with it.

The blaze rod according to the wiki causes the blazes to stop firing the fire balls for a cool down rotation.

The golden piece is a gold nugget, If you have 9 of them and craft them in a block form you'll get a gold ingot!
