But you have to notice, there is a reason behind it.

The man is a complete jerk. If you can't see that, there is a problem. He may have exposed some crap, but fox in general completely ignores anything that calls their party out. They are extremely one-sided in what they publish.

The way I generally think of it is that I'm pro-conscious-life: in other words, I will not harm humans or animals (other than in self-defence), but I see no problem in ending the "life" of a plant, of bacteria, or of a foetus.

I don't see much sense in protecting "potential life" - in that sense we should never allow a woman to have a period, every egg should be fertilised. The real problem, however, would be making sure every sperm cell got an egg, too. That is an impossible task.
