  • なつかしー!でもこのウィスキー今売ってませんね(笑)

  • Is Seita based on him? WTF?

  • Seita became a punk guy.

  • his life is quite fascinating. lives on streets after his sister's death. caught stealing and sent to juvenile detention, where they find out that his real father is a vice-governor of niigata prefecture (nosaka was an adopted child).

  • the hungry street kid suddenly find himself among an honorable family. but that is not the happy end. this oliver twist-like transition makes him hate himself and others and of course grieve over his poor sister. as if to punish himself, he starts leading disgusting life. knowing hardship he went thru, kind people around him can do nothing but indulge him, which irritates him further more.

  • in early 60's, television became common in japan and homes were flooded with tv commercials.

now nosaka was one of the most successful commercial song writers. despite his fame, he was disgusting as ever. often appeared on tv in obnoxious glasses, made offensive remarks and incurred the displeasure of good people (once he said, "women imho do not belong human race"). he bragged about being a great playboy and how bad he was on streets but never mentioned his little sister.

  • yes, he was very defiant. he viciously attacked morals and ridiculed beautiful virtues. he was a self-claimed alcoholic and liked to associate himself with vulgar lower class people (based on this experience, he wrote his first novel "The Pornographers").

he always described himself as a "coward" and openly professed that he would just run away should a war break out.

  • in late 60's, he wrote an essay titled "playboy no komoriuta"(playboy's lullaby) for "fujinkohron", a renowned magazine for women of intelect, and made a painful confession about the sister who had

died of starvation for the first time.
