I don't agree with the positive remarks: it's way too loud (especially the beginning, which should sound mysteriously!) and also too fast. If you're too loud in the beginning, there's no more building up to climax.
I did this song my first semester of college, and i've got to tell you, this is really beautifully rendered! The dynamic expressions are phenomenal!! I wish our chorus group could have mastered the dynamics as well! Great job!
Adorable! I'm recording this Sullivan at the moment for CD with my chamber choir "cannibale vocale" - but we got no chance against this marvellous interpretation at all ...
and how hard it is to stay on tune.... especially when the men have their 'the lighted windows dim' segment.... this is very well done!
