People ask questions like "Is [Alex] a loon" because he's covering too many subjects at once. Even if everything is connected it's better to have a panel come together and explain instead of just having to force everything out of Alex's mouth. Although it creates a sense of urgency, in my opinion when he gets worked up and is forced to spew a string of facts he also looks unfocused and not very credible. It's not uncommon to judge a person by looks instead of words and Alex looks overwhelmed.

Everything he's talking about is on the public domain. You just have to go and read news articles and think-tank reports.

So, he is not a loon, he is an informed man, out to inform others.

But some don't like to be informed, nor will they research for themselves, as free thinking persons. And that is evident. As we say in my land (in a different language than english), they don't get on and they don't get off, either. And that's just sad.
