@Ballarific38 Its funny, I actually pattern my guitar playing style mainly after Dave Mustaine. If you notice in many of my other videos, I usually only play his solos. One reason being because they are less technically complex than those of Marty Friedman et al., but also I enjoy playing his music.

I definitely noticed because I do the same thing. Hangar 18 is like what inspired me to get serious about my playing. Then I watched his spider chord video and I honestly thought that everyone did that because I have been doing it from the start. I'm the same way though, I only like learning his solos because he is so straight forward with his playing and his attitude towards what he wants. His whole style is just the way he wants. That's an artist.

those solos were beast, man, but i wouldn't shred while the lyrics are going on, it just doesn't sound aesthetically right. the leads can distract listeners from the lyrics, which are the message of the song. i don't want to sound like a douche, because you did a really good job, but perhaps you should elongate the backing track of the solo so as to keep these great licks
