Here we are, over a year after this song was posted. Great song, but what amazes me is how some people post unreleased Prince songs and within weeks Prince and his lawyers have the songs removed and that person banned from YouTube, yet other songs remain on here unbanned by Prince... Very odd...
I looooove this song. How can this masterpiece not make an appearance on any of his official releases? Other artists would kill to have a song like this on their album! Just goes to show the limitless talent of this man....
Jevetta Steele recorded this song. She was signed to Columbi records in the 90's. It's a great version, but i never heard this one. thanks for posting. In jevetta Steele's album, between the US and UK versions of that album, she sings "Hold Me", Open Book" and "Skip My Lou" . I have both albums!
ALWAYS WONDERFUL WHEN WE GET NEW / UNRELEASED P. ROGERS NELSON. THIS BROTHA'S GOT SO MANY OF THESE SWEET/ASS MELODIES! AN EXCEPTIONAL SONGWRITER. "...you were only posing."
soo good and I wonder about the symbol for a long time; saw the symbol on the body of another musician too; drawing it thinking about; thank`s a lot for that song; I did not knew; strange; thank`s a lot (`v`)
prince is a pimp, whom happens to be a musician,he knows what women want and what they dont want, too bad he has no sons they would be bad assed musicians
It was recorded in the late 80's and released in the early 90's. it was given to the artist Martika for her 2nd lp. There is a bootleg cd called Yellow that was released in Europe that was supposed to have a concert film sold along with it but that idea never materialized. The Cd was released by itself though.
Has anyone ever heard a song that has taken their breath away? That's how I am feeling after hearing this for the very first time. I will add this one to my long list of favorites.
WoWW!!! Thank you so much for posting this!!!...Prince is my favorite artist, singer, musician of all time by far & I have always bought his b-sides on 45's since I was a kid in the eighties and thought I had heard almost all of his unreleased songs...I have never heard this song & it is amazing!!..Just shows you how infinite Prince is & you will never hear all of his music..He will have vaults for Centuries to come!!PRINCE THE MOST AMAZING FOREVER!!..NO ONE COULD EVER COMPARE TO ME!NO CATEGORY!
@wrutledge1 Did you know the final 'released' version of this song appeared on Martika's 'Safe In The Arms Of Love' without Prince being credited.. Check it out..

Also, Jevetta's album is a good album but she never made it anywhere. Her voice and look was similar to Whitney Houston's!
