I dont understand why it would be spinning. by the fifth season of babylon 5 Earth had artificial gravity....see the Warlock Class destroyer for instance. Not to mention the other ships that came during the war, another station like this would not be required to have spinning sections.
@jessemarcus I refer you to the artist comments already posted...here you go in case you can't find them again... "The only thing I can take credit for in this clip is editing. The model is in the file with the camera movement, so all I did was render the clip, then add the music in post." and an earlier response of mine... "The Idea of Babylon 6 was a fan made 3d modelling project in the early 2000's. There isn't any story (canon or otherwise)at least as far as I know."
My guess is that this would have been built by the other races after the Great Burn of Earth. It seems obvious by then that they would have had no need for rotating sections, but hey, that's sci-fi today for you!
@EpicGods The Idea of Babylon 6 was a fan made 3d modelling project in the early 2000's. There isn't any story (canon or otherwise)at least as far as I know.
@archangel72367 It is specifically stated in "Sleeping in the Light" that there were no more Babylon stations. Still, this is a cool conceptual video. As far as I know, we only see Babylons 4 and 5 in the series, so this could be one of the earlier ones as well.
i just realized something: maybe they're following the ROYGBIV scheme with the babylon stations. babylon1 (seen in "In the Beginning") was red, maybe B2 was orange, B3 was yellow, B4 was definitely green, B5 was blue, and behold, this B6 is purple/indigo!!!
@TheBlackSpider82 Well I believe this particular station was designed from a contest after the show was over. And the Babylon Project was supposed to be unique and not seen anywhere else in the galaxy. Hence it's location in neutral space.
I think they should do a new series "BABYLON 6" a 6 years series the last best hope for war.

@jessemarcus what if ``spinning gravity`` is more effective then artificial gravity seeing as how it is still a ``new`` tec.

Why do they made a Babylon6?
I thought Babylon5 is the last of the stations?

looks a lot like B4.

@babylon218 Nah B4 had larger more bulbous sections like B5...this is much more linear along the axis

@ikinser82 i think he meant the way the solar fins form that "Vorlon petal" thing at the back makes the station look like B4.

I always thought there would be a station or stations like this at Earth or in orbit around the colonies.

I think I'll use as the home base for my B5 fanfiction. It's where the Red Star will berth. Did you ever see that btw?
