  • this is not emo,,,,u guys knonothing,,,we didnt even kno wht emo was when these guys were around playing live,,we just knew they made us feel good when they played music ,,ya her me,,,lol

  • whatever duders,,,i grew up in small shit town ,,these guys always played there ,,its probably the only good thing i remember happening in that area,,,,shotmaker was amazing,,,........R.I.P. ya

  • Love the bassline in all of SHotmakers songs.

  • listen to that bass, the a giant phat broken engine under water farting sound.. i love it

  • And then once you know what they're saying you have to try to figure out what he's saying.

    Labelling music is bad juju.

  • Fair enough. "Emo" has a lot of negative connotations attached to it, and I didn't want people to write off this band if they don't personally like emo and learn that Shotmaker has been associated with other emo bands (also, they do sound closer to "hardcore," at least to my limited-exposure-to-emo ears).

But either way, labels are pretty much just words, detached from the actual music. If something's good, it's good. Maybe I ought to just scrap the genre analysis, as it doesn't matter anyway.

  • Not even detached, but completely non-concrete. My emo is your indie is his alternative. At least for band X. Band Y is still emo to me, but it's hardcore to you and shit to him. All that matters is that you like what you like, exactly. Keep rocking out, friend.

  • That's right on target.

You too, man, you too. :)

  • @thegrassisbluer09 well typed!

  • no beleave me this is emo... but emo isn' bad at all!
