This is not samba, neither a tribal dance (it actually has tribal roots, though). It's a brazilian rhythm which has tribal african roots and is part of brazilian folklore. This rhythm is called "Congo" and when people get together to sing and dance it you have a "Congada".

The difference is that Carlinhos Brown and Sergio Mendes gave it a good audio quality treatment.
