  • awesome ! pure magic...Mohammed Rafi the great !

  • Perhaps the all time greatest song sung in South Asia. One feels amazed at the versatility and the range(at least through 3 octaves) of this man. It s said that Naushad sahab had to abruptly break the song to prevent a permanent damage to Rafi's voice - as one can see in the end sequence !!

  • 3 people are deaf ...

  • great song..

  • EXCELLENT VOICE RAFI SAHEB ALLAH BLESS YOU

  • This is how we used to be happy before, muslims sing the best hindu songs, hindus celebrating with muslims and vice versa, when and why did this change? If religion can make me kill someone, then I don't want a religion.

  • @balabujji YOU ARE RIGHT

  • @balabujji well said my friend. At the very core of all religions there must be the desire to love and be loved. But if religion itself becomes the reasons to fight, to kill and to hate, then the whole system of religion is failing. We now have religions within religion. Where does it end? When will there be unity? I will tell you when. If tomorrow we have a major disaster threatening the existence of all humansonly then we will become one unit to defend ourselves. It might well be too late then

  • Greatest masterpiece to be ever sung. Only Rafi Sahib could sing such a great tune. Even today this is a test for the singers, if they can sing this tune. If Rafi Sahib would have only sung this song, he would still be regarded as the greatest singer ever to be born on this earth. Lahori Munda From New York. We will always miss Rafi Sahib.

  • Ab toh neer bahale...

  • VERY NICE SONG

  • one of India greatest singers. RIP

  • Somehow I am feeling, the acting is not at all matching the depth, power, and pain the song has .. all at once !! Rafi Sa'ab is really the king of all times. No one can beat him.

  • You can't help but cry..

  • there was a prisoner once whos last wish was to listen to this song before he was hanged every one cried and he was hunged a true tune which appeals to just about every and any 1

  • The truth you know by words soo good song

  • In this universe everything is searching for something...

  • @imran19632 A beautiful thought indeed......

  • All songs that were composed in 50s challenge to God, I think as it was the decade of world war II, thousands of people got suffered...

  • Rafi Saab's Greatest Song

  • I will die if i don't watch Baiju Bawara today. ok, off for DVD.

  • @ashutoshmikku

Wow !! Someone else felt exactly the same way I'm feeling. I want to see the whole movie now !!

  • an ultimate creation in raag darbari kanhadda which was created by the 1 and only tansen sung by the historic legend of the bollywood film industry of the golden era

  • So passionate....

It's so hard to sing like that...

  • where is music and lyrics like this today

  • Very true..... :D

  • @askgood5 no where my friend.. no where

  • OMG, this song is soooo difficult to perform. None other than Rafi Saheb could've brought justice to it.

  • This was one of the major turning point of RAFI Sahab's Career...in MUKESH,TALAT arena....

My favourite song......Naushad salutes to you ...

no body else could have given a beetr voice other than RAFI SAHAB...

I think one of the most difficult high pitch songs in Bollywood.......................

  • jeewan apna wapas lele

    jeewan dene wale

    my fev song thanks

  • i dont believe it either. that just sounds like something people would come up with to make Rafi seem like more of a mortal being than what he is. watch him singing this song live on YT, he doesnt sing it at the same scale, but you can tell by his ease, that he most likely could have in a heartbeat.

  • The tears rolling down, should at best be taken as a Poetic Indulgence. I don't know why people take literal meaning to everything. Great Music, Great Lyrics, Great singing, ENJOY the song. WE are FIRST and LAST HUMAN BEINGS. Our geographical identities come later.

  • how can a stone answer song sweet but huh

  • i just cry for the lost souls in the system of division.

  • "Kaha se aagya eh dewana??" Deewana aha kyaa baat!

  • According to Naushad, Rafi sahab rehearsed this song for about 15 or 17 days for this and lost his voice for about 20 days after singing this song. He continues to mention some one told him Mohd. Rafi coughed blood but Rafi sahab never told him in person.

  • Rafi sahab never coughed blood after the recording of this song, its just rumor. His voice was splendid and at high pitch rafi saab's voice never leaves the tempo.

Where u have heard naushad sahab saying this ? just tell me friend , that this song is master piece of naushad sahab , and was recorded by him and in his presence and he doesn't know rafi saab coughed blood??? someone told him ? this is not fact but rubbish

  • nice song.

    I love his songs.

  • For some good information

Mohd Rafi was a good man and a muslim

if he says baghwan so many time in his song his purpose is art and not the faith.

similarly hindu actors do things like amitabh reciting kalimah in coolie so what they do is act and not do due to faith.

  • thank you arand good song

but i can t say its a prayer

  • yahan jitnay hindu aur musalman banay huai hain aur larr rahey hain sub kay liye sukoon say gana suno aur comments soch kay diya karo tumhari maa behnay bhi kabhi bhool kay page browse karein shayad .

itnay daarmhi ya mazhabi ho to bunday k putr ban k

achi baat kiya karo. jai Hind , Pakistan Zinda bad

  • I like that Waseem

  • Comment removed

  • Maybe you all should listen to... "Desh premiyoon, aapas mein prem karo..MERE DESH Premiyoon"!

  • porkistan banega hindustan

  • We Kafirs like INdia you should go back to mecca in saudi arabia where u belong.

  • i live on the bank of river indus i am a geographical historical indian unlike u and why do u want me to go to haj and saudi why coz u think i am anti hindu. i only criticized the video which shows the statue so called bhagwan shedding tears which is not true indian movies always like to mislead ppl as such but u are indeed an extremist from ur comments u deserve a slap for those comments

  • Bollywood does not represent hinduism in anyway, it is about greed and money. Nothing wrong with money if u make it without hurting anyone. Money is not evil, but the LOVE for money is evil. Bollywood has nothing to do with hinduism. It is only of Symbolic value thats it. If u are muslim thats ok.. Remember U are a muslim first and a indian second..saudi calls.

  • the cast system in india is unacceptable get rid of it

  • We are working on it, the caste system is not really hindu tradition...just like terrorism is not islamic tradition but we both got stuck with it. But we are trying now to get rid of it.

  • what a great song ! what a great voice ! Thanks aransg for sharing.

  • Afghans are always welcome....thank you , so much better than pakis.

  • i am afraid bhagwan does not cry nor does the statue

  • You should go to Haj in saudi aRABIA and leave india for us my friend. It's more Complicated than that, but yes bhagwan does not cry unlesss it is with joy,.

  • even the lesser known film-makers were 10 times better than the best we have today....

  • well its a shame people of my generation never got to listen to Rafi.....

He was like the Pavarotti of India.....

talkin about this song in particular, i just am amazed by the emotions behind it....

im dejected coz i dont see any movie in recent times projecting the true human emotions... it makes us look up to foriegn films to look for good cinema when people like Satyajit Ray, Guru Dutt etc made some of the most inspirational work in the field of cinema in India....

  • It is because People restrict themselves to bollywood . If One goes beyond it One can Find Excellent Films by Director Viswanath in Telugu , who is far ahead of Satyajit Ray , Bimal Roy etc. Director Viswanath Presented India's Culture through Classical Music and Dance in a Series of Films in Telugu . Director Bapu a Well Known Artist and Cartoonist made some Beautiful movies in Telugu .Director Mani Ratnam's Anjali (Tamil),and Geetanjali (Telugu) etc are some of the example's of Great Movies .

  • One of the best songs by Rafi Sahab... What a Voice!!!! Stays the same on a very low note and on a very high note... Rafi Sahab was a Punjabi and learnt a lot of Classical Music from the Patiala Gharana Gurus, Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan and Ustad Barkat Ali Khan... It looks how well prepaired His Voice was Specially when He sings the Alaap before 'Mehel udas aur galiyan sooni'... It's really a pleasure to have is records to listen to... Mohd. Rafi Habib from A'bad/Pune...

  • the greatest of all greatest singers the world has ever produced. Rafi's voice was made by God's own hands. When he sings, it seems god is singing. I don't have any other language to describe

  • Divine, We are blessed to be listening to this. Today, I found Baiju Baawra on youtube, thank you..
