They are folden from straight strips, multiple of them, yes, But a lot of origami consists of strips rather than square pieces of paper. And the material arguably determins wether it is or isn't origami. As long as no incising cuts are used and the paper uses a rectangular dimensioning. Also, preferably when no adhesives are used, I'd consider it origami. Oh yeah, and it's supposed to represent something, but that's pretty much covered.
I like them, but I have seen Sanny make much cooler stuff.
