They don't cost that much maybe around 40$ from a good breeder.. Try turtle source but you have to pay a 40$ shipping fee for overnight so its more like 80$.. i bought 4 from them <3 all hatchlings and they all have their own 20 gal to themselves and they are about 1in to 1.5 in no bigger yet

his tank is not filled because the turtle needs to get out of the water sometimes I dont recomend having the water so low but you can the fish need room too I would have a rock that slops upwords with about 8 or 9 CM of the tank not filled with a lilly for the turtle to float on the rock is for the turtle

You should not have a small tank with turtles they need roming space

@jbdam5 DEPENDS! This is a baby. When she gets older she would defectively eat the betta. And dont make the mistake of thinking "They grew up together and I never see the turtle snap at the fish" cause one day you will look at the tank and the fish will be gone. I promise.

@jbdam5 I have 2 adult turtles, who where raised on fish.. But live with fish as adults, and do not attack them. I also have a tank with 3 baby RES and a "teen" Painted turtle, who also live with Comet goldfish. My turtles aren't over fed, but well fed. They all eat together, too. Spinach, calcium dust, reptile bites, and fish feed. The faster the fish, the better chance of them not getting eaten -- If my turtles can't catch a breed of fish once, they will mostly never bother again.
