what was bad about the bigsby b3 for my les paul? im thinking of getting one.. i have a b6 on my falcon and its way better then a b7. is there any difference between b3 and b6 apart from size?

Sadly, the b3 didn't have enough downward pressure on the bridge. It sounded good, but if I bent the strings too aggressively, I could push them out of the groove in the saddle. It only happened a couple of times, but it was always the wrong time.

I agree..... I just participated in more Gretsch blasphemy by taking them out of this guitar and putting them into my last un-touched guitar.... my Setzer Hot Rod.... I just couldn't stop myself.... It's dreamy, at least till the high wears off...

@Caveira138 B7 is the best. B3 looks cooler, but looks aren't everything

@BricksJamRoom cool I'm gonna probably try that when I get some cash. Besides blowing out the holes when drilling did you have any problems installing the spertzels? Probably gonna put some dearmond dynasonics in my projet along with a few other bells and whistles.

Hey! Great sound of the pickups! I just got the pro jet aswell, but thinking of switching the pickups with the rio grande texas BBQ .. I also saw the Bigsby B12 for the first time today, u think it would match up as the B7? And one more question, did u buy some kind of kit with the pickups? or did u use the set from the tv Jones?

@Joshuanorris1980 Have fun with it... As it was only $500.00 (as if 500 is chicken feed) you can't screw it up too much. Even my catastrophe with the headstock turned out. I'm sure someday i'll find that "one" guitar with "magic", but until I do, I'll continue having fun throwing different mods at my guitars just to see what happens!

Not enough tension on the bridge with b3.... bummer because it looked cool. B7 is a touch wonky with the tuning on the D string... not too bad though.

How hard was it to install the pups in? I really love the sound of them. They sound like they can handle high gain much better than the stock pickups. They look a lot like gibson pickups.

I had already routed out the original holes to fit some TV Jones that I had in it. It just took a bit more to get these babys in.

looks cool sounds cool. Looks like more of a Gretsch paul now (well the jet was their answer to the paul anyway...) looks cool. Actually i wanna get the 5122 and put some tv Jones but that's when i get money. i like it though and also the tele that you mod looks cool too.
