@metroidM1A1 It doesn't really matter anyway. I had one and sold it to get an iPad 2. I don't use Flash enough, and a lot of sites (ESPN, NY Times) have and ditched Flash and gone with iOS compatible formats anyway. Flash is nothing but a battery drain and runs like crap on mobile platforms.

@metroidM1A1 Even if it had 20% more power per core, that's still just 20% more total. Basic math would tell you that. And they both have a 1GHZ Dual core so what you say is just not true at all. And if the graphics are more powerful, I have yet to see anything that even comes close to utilizing them. If you want good graphics on the ipad, just look up Infinity Blade or Real Racing 2.

There are more gameloft games on iOS than there are on Android, and both games that I mentioned have far better graphics than any gameloft game. Just look them up. The iPad also outputs full 1080p to a tv and you can play games on it. look up "iPad 2 real racing 2 tv"

The ipad 2 can actually play 720p 30fps with Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound. and can output 1080p to an hd screen.

Also it has a dual core 1ghz processor, The Apple A5. And a 2-4 cores graphical processing unit with next gen mobile graphics.

obviously the camera and display resolution are better on the samsung, but can still say owning both that I prefer ipad 2 display, its bigger and it's got more accurate color management.

The A5 processor is underclocked at 900mhz absolutely true, but Apple has enabled the software to go up to it's real capacity at 1ghz if required by applications running, this is so to reduce power drain. It is also true that it is enabled to underclock even more to save even more battery when it's not needed.

The iPad can infact play 720p video, it is stated on Apple's website and I have a few videos in 720p

@metroidM1A1 Also the gpu has multi-thread capabilities on the iPad 2, this means that just recent Intel processors and most of recent Ati/Amd and Nvidia graphics cards, it can "divide" so to speak it's cores on to multiple tasks. I'm sorry I said 2-4 cores, I was wrong, it has 2 cores with multi-thread, similar to what an i5 or i7 chip from intel does, this is why apple claims to have achieved 9 times performance increase.

Good video, although I think you're wrong about web browsing. It's true, mobile safari is terrible, but that's where the App Store comes in. Browsers like iCab Mobile are amazing, they have all the features of a Full web browser. Adobe Flash Player is terrible on android devices as it crashes and makes browsing slower. For that, you can install Puffin web browser or Skyfire for iPad.

Don't forget the Xoom has hit the milestone of 100,000 sales. Apple has sold 2.5 million iPad 2's in a week. Probably sold 100,000 in 1 minute of launch. Android badly wants to be apple but nobodys buying what they're selling. in the real world touch screen devices dont work that well. you are constantly worried about inadvertenly activating some thing by leaning or wresting you're wrinst or hand on part of the screen and this in turn makes them alkward to use. they need to make the surrounding plastic frame wider as you need an area to lean on whilst writing without activating the screen.

You get far more for your money with Xoom, 4G mobile internet, expandable memory up to 32GB, 1GB (PC RAM), HDMI and micro USB port, far better cameras with dual LED flash, larger and higher definition screen in a smaller circumference, stereo speakers, flash player, useful User Interface and OS almost a PC all of which the iPad2 has NOT GOT and more...

If you can use a PC you can use the Xoom.

i would use my Tablet to help me with my work for instance i'm working on a program and as a java programmer i use the reference quite alot, so what better way then to have a 10 inch screen on a stand showing me that same reference while i work on my program full screen. Tablet are helpful if you use them right. i will be getting a Xoom soon.

My honest opinion! ALL TABLETS BLOW CHICKEN CRAP. A decent laptop or even netbook with a modern build of Linux will blow any tablet out of the water! These things are toys. I've tried all three of these, and I wasn't impressed by any of them. Touch screen typing, combined with slow performance - mixed with limited storage, a boring OS and some of the most proprietary BS platforms ever make these all three losers.
